Interaction with Guests

This is my home and therefore I will be in residence during guests stay. I am happy to chat, answer questions and give advice but the house is also big enough to give you your privacy.

The Neighborhood

Within a few minutes walking distance you can visit the beautiful Botanic Gardens with it's famous curvilinear greenhouse. Also nearby is the historical Glasnevin Cemetery with its award winning museum and great guided tour. The Gravediggers Pub, just across the road, is a unique Dublin pub with an interesting history. Hedigan's Pub nearby is another old pub that features in Ulysses by James Joyce. The city centre is just a half hour walk away but if you'd rather take a bus, there is a good choice.
You can wander along the canal or rent a city bike and visit the nearby Phoenix Park - the largest enclosed park in Europe. And if that not enough to whet your appetite - I'll have plenty more suggestions for you!
There is a small shopping centre nearby with a supermarket, cafes, takeaways, etc.

Getting Around

there are several bus routes to the city centre just a few minutes walk from the house, where you can avail of Luas tram and Dart light rail. The Dublin City hire a bike scheme is available nearby and around the city. Walking to the city centre takes about 30 minutes. A taxi can be hailed on the street
