Attic with a View & Private Bathrm

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Finglas Road, Glasnevin, Dublin, Ireland

The Space

I can offer you a quiet Attic Room with comfortable 1 double and 1 single bed and a separate private bathroom. This bright spacious room overlooks the rooftop and the mountains in the distance. You are welcome to use the sitting/tv room. I am not working on the day I will serve breakfast in the dining room, otherwise I will leave everything ready for you to serve yourself. Just let me know what you would like and I will do my best to provide it.

My home at No. 25 is an Edwardian house built in 1904, and is situated just 2km from the city centre. This location is a perfect combination of a residential area with easy access to the city. The house has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, with an interesting mix of period and modern decor.

Within a few minutes walking distance you can visit the beautiful Botanic Gardens with it's famous curvilinear greenhouse. Also nearby is the historical Glasnevin Cemetery with its award winning museum and great guided tour. The city centre is just a half hour walk away but if you'd rather take a bus, there is a good choice.
You can wander along the canal or rent a city bike and visit the nearby Phoenix Park - the largest enclosed park in Europe. And if that not enough to whet your appetite - I'll have plenty more suggestions for you!

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Noeleen's house. Noeleen is a wonderful host - very kind and welcoming. She laid out a lovely breakfast for me each morning, complete with a vase of pretty wildflowers on the table. The house is a beautifully decorated Georgian house, full of character and nice things. The attic room is just gorgeous - homely, bright, and my favourite feature of all... large skylight windows right above the comfy bed, so you can fall asleep while stargazing from your pillow. Thanks Noeleen for your hospitality.

  • We had a very nice stay at Noeleen's, her place is very beautiful, clean and the room was great for 3. She was so careful and prepared delicious breakfasts! The house is near the city centre (about 15 minutes by bus) and very quiet so it´s perfect to enjoy Dublin and also have quieter times home. We definitely reccomend you stay there!

  • We had a very great time in Dublin and with Noeleen! The bath and the sleeping room were totally tidy and we could make coffee and tea in our room. The breakfast was delicious: two sorts of bread, cheese, fresh fruit, muesli, coffee, tea, juice - everything you need! Noeleen is a very friendly and helpful person. We felt very well at her house and just can recommend a holiday at Noeleen!

  • Noleen is absolutely wonderful, a great host and when i was not feeling that great physically, she upped the heat. Great gardener also. - house is clean and exquisite and a stone throw to the City Center.

  • Our stay at Noeleen's was excellent, she is the perfect hostess.

Clean room and bathroom, good breakfast and Noeleen is a very friendly and helpful person. The house is in a quite neighbourhood and near a bus stop so going to the centre is easy.

I would definitely recommend staying at her place!

  • Staying with Noeleen was like staying with family! Noeleen was exceptionally caring and accommodating! Nothing was too much hassel, she even lent us an iron :) Breakfast was just perfect each morning... The house was even more beautiful than in the pictures and extremely clean and tidy...
All in all a perfect stay with the perfect host... highly recommend staying with Noeleen!!!

  • Noeleen is a very kind person, her ospitality is perfect. She helped us and she give us some useful suggestion about Dublin. Her home is very beautiful, the room is comfortable and louminous, quiet neighborhood; the bath is clean and comfortable. The house is at 20-30 minutes walking from the city centre, there are many shops and stores long the street to the centre and not so far from the home; moreover it is very closed to the beautiful Botanical Gardens. The breckfast is abundant with jam and marmelade, bread, butter yogurt, fruit musli, chees and so on. I strongly suggest this accomodation.

  • Noeleen is a very kind host, I was there with my wife and my younger son, we ware as at home, may be a little better with the Noeleen breakfast every day, with jam and marmelade, bread, butter yogurt, fruit musli, chees and so on. On saturday and Sunday extra schrambled eggs with maschrooms and salmon.
The room is not so large but very nice.

Consigliatissimo!

About
I have many years experience of hosting guest from all over the world in my home and I enjoy creating a pleasant environment for my guests. I am working in a school for children with special needs as a classroom assistant. My school is great and I love the long holidays! I am the mother 3 adult children who have now left home - hence all the spare bedrooms! I love to spend time with my family and friends, eating or chatting. I enjoy cooking (vegetarian), gardening, arts and crafts. I am interested in the arts and I am a volunteer guide in one of Dublin's cultural art museums. I love the movies and especially enjoy going to one of the two art house cinemas that we have in the city. I walk a lot and do a bit of cycling, swimming and dance classes. I have had some great trips abroad -Cuba been among the most memorable. Last year I went to South Africa to work as a volunteer in a township - an amazing experience.
