My home at No. 25 is an Edwardian red brick terrace house built in 1904, and is situated just 2km from the city center. This location is a perfect combination of a residential area with easy access to the city.

The space

I can offer you a quiet Attic Room with comfortable 1 double and 1 single bed and a separate private bathroom. This bright spacious room overlooks the rooftop and the mountains in the distance. You are welcome to use the sitting/tv room. Breakfast is available in the dining room, where I will leave everything ready for you to help yourself. On offer are tea, coffee, juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and bread. Just let me know what you would like and I will do my best to provide it.

Guest access

guests have access to the sitting/tv room and to the dining room which has a small fridge and microwave for guests use. Sorry but my kitchen is private

Interaction with guests

This is my home and therefore I will be in residence during guests stay. I am happy to chat, answer questions and give advice but the house is also big enough to give you your privacy.

Noeleen was welcoming and accommodating and made sure we had the transport information we needed as soon as we arrived. We felt quite at home during our week long stay with her. Good breakfast too. Her house has an excellent bus service - getting in an out of the city whatever the time of day was easy. We recommend Noeleen's place for your Dublin stay.

Staying at Noeleen's home was a highlight of our visit to Dublin. The accommodations are exceptionally clean, it is conveniently close to public transit, yet it is just far enough out of the busy city center to be fairly quiet - although it is certainly doable if you want to walk the 25-minute distance to get to the city center. Most of all, Noeleen was extremely kind and helpful...I highly recommend staying here!

Noeleens home was a wonderful place to stay while in Dublin- walking distance to the cemetery and botanical gardens, fabulously decorated with unique classic and contemporary touches, warm and inviting rooms, and the beds in the loft were so cozy and comfortable. Just like a typical lovely B&B, we were provided breakfast and out beds made everyday on our return home. The breakfast provided was filling and include fresh bread with butter and jams, yogurts, cereal, juice, fresh fruit, and tea/coffee. We absolutely loved our stay and did not want to leave! What we enjoyed most about our stay were the activities suggested by Noeleen, such as a wonderful and affordable meal at a vegetarian spot, a day trip to the seaside town of Howth, and a unique collection of art and texts at the Chester Beatty Library. Noeleen is a thoughtful and knowlegable host- she made sure we had everything to ensure we felt at home in a new place. Three of us (gals in our late 20s) stayed comfortably in the loft room and shared the ensuite bathroom without issue! Great for a girls trip. It's a quiet spot to return to after long days.

We enjoyed a very pleasant 4 days with Noeleeen. She was a delightful host, who looked after us very well. She was available when we needed her without being intrusive. The attic room was comfortable, and we had a private bathroom. It was out of the centre of Dublin but very close to several bus routes into town, and we liked being in a more residential area. Nice pubs nearby. Be aware it is an attic room so there were two flights of steep stairs, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Noeleen offered us a great welcome and communication was punctual and friendly. Noeleen took the time to prepare a map of the area with bus details on, which was a lovely touch. The house is close to public transport to get to the centre of Dublin but is a very short walk to the cemetary and botanical gardens. It was very free and easy to stay here - we could come and go as we pleased, and breakfast was available at any time.

Noeleen has a lovely house and was a great host. She greeted us with a cup of tea on arrival and throughout our stay gave us plenty of tips and advice on how to get around. Our room was spacious and with our own bathroom we felt we had enough privacy. The bed was so comfy that we had trouble getting up in the morning! There were bus stops close by and so getting into the city centre was easy. Highly recommend (young couple travelling).

This is not near downtown, but so very easy to get to downtown by walking or bus (25 minutes max walking). Also easy to get to from airport. Super quiet attic room, with great airflow (we slept with the windows open) and a clean and tidy bathroom with plenty of towels. The breakfast kept me going well into the noon hour (thank you!). I would absolutely stay here again when in Dublin. Noeleen is a gracious hostess.

Noeleen User ProfileNoeleen is a superhost.

I have many years experience of hosting guest from all over the world in my home and I enjoy creating a pleasant environment for all visitors. I am working in a school for children with special needs as a classroom assistant. My school is great and I love the long holidays! I am the mother 3 adult children who have now left home - hence all the spare bedrooms! I love to spend time with my family and friends, eating or chatting. My cat, Tiger Lilly is my loyal companion. I enjoy cooking (vegetarian), gardening, arts and crafts. I am interested in the arts and I am a volunteer guide in one of Dublin's cultural art museums. I love the movies and especially enjoy going to one of the two art house cinemas that we have in the city. I like to walk and cycling, swim in the sea and dance classes. I have had some great trips abroad, China, Argentina and Cuba been among the most memorable. I have also been to South Africa to work as a volunteer in a township - an amazing experience.
