Interaction with Guests
I am available via (phone number hidden) phone or text to answer questions while you are visiting. I work long hours but it is likely our paths will cross as I live in the home.
The neighborhood used to be a plantation long ago so has a historical marker at the beginning of the community at the railroad tracks. Location is close to shops, restaurants and activities.
Car definitely recommended. There is bus pick up and drop off at the Kmart walking distance from the condo however there is a busy high traffic road (Rivers Ave) to cross to get to the bus stop. While you will see a few bikes and mopeds it is a risk of your life walking on the main roads in this area.
Other Things to Note
No refrigerator or coffee maker in the room. Simple comfortable bed and bath only. Check in after 2:00 and check out is no later than 10:00 am. Please do not ask for a late check out as I am unable to accommodate you.
Welcome to Charleston and Casa de Pamela! Thank you for choosing my place for your stay. Please absolutely NO smokers. Come/go as you please through your own private entry door. Please no additional guests/visitors or 1 night stands during your stay. Pool is open during the warm months from sun up to sun down. Please honor the noise ordinance & be courteous to neighbors. I have a small 10 lb dog on site but your room is a pet free zone. Please hang up all dirty/wet towels on clothing rack so they do not get sour. If you use any of the beach supplies please clean off all the sand outside the unit before returning them to the walk in closet. The 2 gas stations at the corner (Murphys & Shell) make a fairly decent cup of coffee. Dunkin Donuts is within driving distance too. Reminder this is my home and not a hotel so please do not waste electricity or water. Please turn off lights when you leave the room & check water faucets to be sure of no dripping. The room is normally only cleaned between guests however if you need something done during your visit, don't hesitate to ask ie: towels, empty trash, etc. Again, thank you so much for your courtesy and for choosing my room for your trip. Check out is no later than 10 am. Please leave the keys on the tall cabinet and lock the bottom lock before you pull the door shut. Don't forget to check before you leave to make sure you have all your belongings.
I appreciate you.
We had a really great time at Pam's. We felt really welcome and we had someone who could answer any questions we may have. The room was clean and comfy. Thank you!
Pam was awesome! I feel like I have found a new friend! The month I stayed there was fabulous. She shared her time, food, and travel tips with me. I was in town to study and she even set up an area in the room so I could have my books spread out. The room was neat, very clean, and well equipped.
Very nice room with everything you need, perfectly clean and well located. Pam is a super nice host who does everything so that you feel welcome and comfortable.
Very nice place, comfortable bed, very clean home away from home.
Pam made us feel at home! She was not able to be there to greet us when we arrived because of her work schedule, but she let us know in advance and left us a handwritten note welcoming us to her home by the door. Our first impression was warmth! The room looked exactly like the photos in the listing, only even more inviting. Everything was VERY clean. The floors looked brand new. She provided us with some coupons for some tours and restaurants on the bedside table. The closet had plenty of space for hanging clothes as well beach gear that we were welcome to use at our convenience. The room has little notes around it, giving you helpful tips to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible such as, "leave the bathroom door open for better air circulation." Her bathroom was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. Her bed was very comfortable, and the room stayed nice and cool each night. You can hear the train at night, but Pam addresses that in the listing, and I kind of found it soothing and nostalgic. We were able to park right out by our door, and it was very nice that it was a private entrance to the room. When we were out for the day, Pam checked in and made sure we were having a nice time and offered her advice. Her apartment really is about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. It's a very easy drive. You are mostly on the highway for the majority of the distance and it goes straight into downtown. There are gas stations and stores nearby as well as a movie theater and Barnes and noble (always a plus for me), as well as many restaurants. While the apartment does not have a fridge, Pam let us use hers. She also let us borrow some cups, and offered to let us watch her redbox movie if we were interested. She was very courteous and she gave us plenty of space without making us feel "neglected." It was a perfect balance. One thing that makes Pam a great host is she is that she is a great communicator and she goes out of her way to make sure her guests are comfortable. She gave us fresh towels halfway through our stay and would turn the light on for us for when we got back in late. We definitely recommend Pam and her room for anyone visiting Charleston! It was a wonderful experience and we hope we can come back!
This was my first Air bnb experience and Pam made it wonderful. She called me often during my stay to see if I needed anything. We chatted some nights and I left feeling like we were friends. The space was great. Private entrance provided lots of privacy and the freedom to come and go. The space is exactly as described and what it appears in the pictures. The location of this property was ideal to where I was going in Charleston. I will definitely stay here again and suggest that you do also.
We stayed at Pam's for 2 nights while we did a quick visit to Charleston. The room was exactly what we were looking for - very comfy bed, nice bathroom, and a quick drive into Charleston. It also has a Esperanto entrance so it felt very private. Pam also shared her delicious iced tea with us! Two thumbs up!
