The Space

Private room sleeping 2 adults available in our beautiful East end flat.

Located in a peaceful residential conservation area in east-end London, our flat provides a quiet nights sleep only minutes away from the thriving city. We offer a private room with double bed, perfect for 2 adults. The room has a window facing onto gardens, and offers a quiet nights rest (a rarity in the city!).

We have a top floor open plan kitchen-diner-lounge area with - most importantly - a 4 metre balcony; providing stunning views across the city. This is our favourite spot. A little oasis in the city, with orange blossom, jasmine, lavender and our very own urban veggie plot! A perfect spot for a glass of wine in the evening sun before heading out into town for dinner and drinks.

EAST END LIFE...(a little about the area)
East London is our favourite part of London, with pockets bustling with culture, food, music, shopping and changing urban landscapes.

Our favourite things to do here in East London include cycling along Regents Canal; seeing the changing graffiti, the long boat community (including a floating cinema and bookshop), past Victoria Park and the padoga, on to Broadway Market for some tasty lunch or maybe a spot of swimming at the lido. You might like to take a stroll up to the amazing Columbia Road flower market on a Sunday, to soak in some real east-end haggling and bustling. Alternatively head to Brick Lane and immerse yourself in the sounds and smells of multicultural London. Get a curry and beer on famous Brick Lane or alternatively head to the market food hall for Japanese, Thai, African, Moroccan cuisines (to name but a few)....After eating you can visit the iconic Rough Trade music store, spitalfields market or do some vintage shopping.

Victoria park is a 7 minute walk from the flat and offers wide open spaces for long walks and picnics in the sun. Grab a refreshing drink at the Pavilion, where you can expect to find live music and a party atmosphere in the summer. Victoria Park village is only 15 minutes walk away and offers an award winning butchers (the Ginger Pig) and the best cakes in our local little cafe - Loaf.

Want to take in the big sites? The Tower of London is only 15 minutes away by tube and there are easy transport links to St Pauls, London Bridge and the South Bank (including the Tate Modern) and the British Museum. Also, the central line offers a direct route to the sites of West London, including Nottinghill, Hyde Park, Knightsbridge and, of course, the big Buckingham P.

We live in a very well connected area...

BUS: No.8 bus stops 3 minutes from the flat and travels a beautiful route past Brick Lane, through the city (inc. Liverpool St station), to Bank, St Pauls, Holborn, Tottenham court road and Oxford St (for shopping!)

TUBE: Closest station - Mile End - is a 10 minute walk from the flat, providing connections to the central line, hammersmith & city, circle and district lines.

DLR: The Docklands Light Railway provides a pleasant journey from Bow Church DLR station (20 minute walk away) to Canary Wharf and Greenwich for the Millennium Dome, Maritime museum, Royal observatory and the beautiful Greenwich Park with magnificent views of London.

BARCLAYS CYCLE HIRE: The best way to take in the city! Hire a Barclays bike (known locally as 'Borris Bikes') for around £2 an hour. Take a cycle around close-by Victoria Park or take in the urban landscape along Regents Canal. Bicycles are located 3 minutes walk from the flat.

AIRPORT: London City airport is close by and we have good rail and tube transport links to other airports.

We take pride in our home and hope you will enjoy your stay with us. We are both passionate about East-end London and can offer some precious insights you won't find in the guide-book. We are more than happy to discuss great restaurants and watering holes with you, and want to ensure you get more from your stay than the regular Madame Tussauds and bus tour experiences!

  • Me and my boyfriend had a really wonderful days at Louise's and Dom's house!
Excellent location - about 7 minutes walk to the tube and bus station, and you can directly go to the city centre ~ about 20 minutes. Near house - Victoria park and nice pubs!

You have everything you need and even more. In the kitchen you can find all necessary things to make a food, in the small nice bedroom you find very comfortable bed and nice garden view and I really like amazing big bathroom with window!

And the terrace was so cute. It's the best way to have relax in the city - have a glass of wine or cup of tea in the terrace.

    I highly recommend this place!

    Thank you, Louise and Dom!

  • This is an excellent place to stay in London. Louise & Dom were timely in their communication during the arrangement and very gracious hosts while we were there. They have a great selection of books! The bed is extremely comfortable, the flat is very very nice and they offered us tea and crumpets. Very nice British touch ;)
The place is a ten minute walk from the Mile End tube stop which has 3 key tube lines running through it. Perfect for seeing all the London sites. The neighborhood is very safe and quaint. There are two nice pubs nearby too when you're too tired to go back into the main city :)

  • Really nice and clean apartment and comfortable room. All facilities and comfort . Good position, near Mile End underground and 8 bus that take you to the vibrant Shoreditch in 15 minutes and in the city center in less that 30 minutes. Louise is really nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our time in this accommodation. We highly recommend to stay here!

  • We only stayed for a night at Lou and Dom´s, but we had everything we needed. Lou and Dom are great hosts, and took us in to their home like friends. Thank you so much for letting us stay over, if we need a place to stay in London again, you guys are definitely one of the first people we will contact. :)

  • I had a lovely stay out in Bow. The room has a great bed and view over leafy back yards. The flat is stylishly renovated and well appointed - very comfortable - and in a cosmopolitan part of town. Louise and Dom weren't there much when I was, but were helpful with advice about the area and super helpful when organising check in. I'd stay there again in a flash.
