One bedroom available in a two bedroom house in Central Halifax, close to all amenities. This house is extremely comfortable, with lots of light, a sun room and a large backyard and garden. Also included is a driveway and laundry room with a washer and dryer.
It takes about 25 minutes to walk downtown to Spring Garden Road or Barrington Street, but it's a 5 minute drive. Easy access to both bridges. Grocery stores, a drug store (with post office) and various restaurants are situated at about a 7 minute walk away. Several bus lines run very close by and can get you anywhere you'd like to go in the city.
The neighbourhood is eclectic with lots of ethnic dining options within a few minutes' walk. You can also explore a bit further afield and hang out in the Commons (10 minutes walk) or on Citadel Hill (maybe a 12 minute walk!). Or you can head to the north end and visit the Hydrostones.
Either way, you'll definitely enjoy your stay in Halifax.
Important to note: there is a cat that lives here as well, so please make sure you are not allergic to cats. Her name is Lola, she is sweet and shy and has short hair. She has a tendency to like to sleep at the foot of my bed so if you're sleeping in that room, you may have to share the bed.
The "book room" (pictured) has a futon bed, a private deck overlooking the backyard and lots of book shelves. It's a small room that gets lots of direct sunlight in the afternoon. As the photos show, there is not a lot of floor space around the bed itself. It is a small but comfortable room and you also have full use of the entire house.
In the morning you can make yourself a cappuccino and sit outside in the backyard or the sunroom and plan out your day.
In order to have full disclosure: I do work long hours and leave early in the morning, which means we may not see each other much. I'm happy to sit and chat in the evenings if we are both at home, but I don't want to disappoint anyone who might be expecting more of a "B&B" situation. I'm often in court in the evenings which means I may not get home until 9 or 10pm.
Also, I don't really eat breakfast so I rarely have breakfast-type foods to offer guests. I do however keep on hand lots of tea and coffee, and guests are invited to eat anything they want from the garden.

Noemi is a very friendly, helpful host. She made us feel completely at home, with use of the kitchen for breakfast preparation, and the living/TV room.
Our room was a bit small for two people, but in fairness the small size is mentioned in the accommodation description. The bed was very comfortable and cozy.
Overall we would recommend a stay at Noemi's home. She's a great host, the location is convenient to everything and it was very enjoyable stay.
A clean, cozy room in a lovely, well-situated building with a thoughtful host!
Noemi was a wonderful host during my 6 night stay in Halifax. The split level three bedroom house boasts a lot of charm (wooded parquetry, old fashioned bath tub) and is well situated in the north end. For me, the 25 minute walk into downtown Halifax gave my legs a good work out, but if you want to stay in the north end then this place is perfect. I found the room well described, it is small and only suitable for sleeping. Unfortunately I found the bed ( a queen size double futon) mattress) quite firm but spacious during the stay. Noemi was accommodating and helpful during my stay and recommended restaurants and even baked muffins! I would recommend this accommodation if you're looking for affordability and the convenience of being in the north end in Halifax. Worth mentioning to the women that there's no mirror in the room and the bathroom doesn't have a power outlet. Other than that it was a wonderful stay in a charming part of a seaside town.
Friendly folks and a nice place to stay in the North End. Had no trouble finding parking and was generally pleased. The clawfoot tub was fun.
Noemi was very easy going, welcoming and adaptable! The house was clean and comfortable. Thank you Noemi!
Noemi was a great host. She made everything easy and accessible. The North End of Halifax is a great place to explore.
Our three day stay with Noemi was an excellent start to our two week tour of Nova Scotia. The room was just what we needed in a ideal location, not too far to walk from downtown Halifax.
Noemi was a perfect host. She made us feel very welcome and at ease to use her home as our own for three days. She had plenty of time to give us lots of good advice on where to go and where to eat, as well as how to get there!
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this as a fantastic base to explore Halifax.
Our stay at Noémi`s home was great. Noémi is a very friendly and considerate host, and her cat is the cutest cat we`ve ever met.:) The house is clean and comfy and very close to downtown Halifax and lots of nice cafés and bars. We would love to come back soon!
Noemi was a great host - friendly, respectful and flexible. The room was all I needed and I could use all the living space while working. It were great 3 days in Halifax!
Noemi is a great host and went out of her way to make meeting for me to get the key convenient. The place is nice, clean and centrally located. She even invited me to a bbq her and her room mates were having for her birthday! Highly recommended!
