No experience required!
The boat is flexibly based in the Dodecanese area - the very heart of Rhodos Old town, the Luxurious Marmaris Marina and the New Kos Marina. It gives you a unique independence and autonomy so visit the surrounding bays, undiscovered beaches and hidden anchorages.
As well as, we want to spoil you with a gourmet Mediterranean cuisine, and that does not include Greek only! Captain/crew is a passionate Italian cook as well!
You do not need to worry about your transfer from/to the boat, we will organize that. Also, why not even take you swimming with dolphins too.
Food, fuel, port/marina fees are not included in given price, as they are personal preferences and vary upon consumption.
We had the BEST time on the Marion Seagull!
A friend and I booked a 5-day cabin charter in the Dodecanese from Rhodes (Kamiros Skala). The captain (Daniele) and his first mate (Giannis) were incredibly hospitable and really went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. What I liked best about our trip with them: Daniele knows the islands (and their residents!) well and chose places and excursions that were incredibly enjoyable and unique. We were so pleased to see/do things we would have never experienced on a gigantic cruise ship. A few of the highlights: exploring the deserted island of Alimnia, taking a stroll up the lovely streets of Chalki, visiting a monastery and drinking ouzo/eating loukoumades at a taverna in Tilos, and visiting a hamam in Datca, Turkey.
One note if you've never done a cabin charter before: yacht charters like this require one to be flexible as weather/wind can dictate where you'll be able to go. For us, it was a storm that kept us at a port in Turkey for a day--it was a revision to our original schedule that turned out to be really great.
The yacht was quite comfortable (even for two "overpackers" sharing a cabin). The bathrooms have manual marine toilets (which I think is fairly standard). The living space off the kitchen was a nice place to relax during a rainstorm. We opted for a half-board (breakfast and lunch). Daniele is a fabulous cook--we had some fantastic pasta dishes and a stellar tzatziki.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience that we definitely recommend!
We had a terrific experience sailing for a week with Sandra and Daniele. The food was terrific and our family was able to see some small bays and unbelievable beaches around Greece and Turkey that we just would never have had the opportunity without this incredible opportunity for anybody to take advantage of. Top notch and thank you very much!!
