  • Nicola has been an excellent host. He welcomed us very nicely and took the time to give us all useful tips, upon our arrival, which was extremely appreciated.

Although the accomodation was nice and the equipment corresponds to the ad (the shower is really nice and the WiFi worked perfectly), it proved to be quite noisy in the morning, as it is located on the ground floor (which was not indicated in the ad), next to a parking place with an electric gate and the windows aren't soundproof. As a matter of fact, except on Sunday, people passing by on their way to work woke us up every morning as early as at 7am...

It might sound as a detail but the advertised large TV had only italian-speaking channel, wich unfortunately renders it useless to those who, like me, enjoy watching the world news with their morning coffee...

Unfortunately, the place in fact does not exactly have a 'central location'. It is ten minutes walking distance from St Peter, which makes it between 30 and 40min walking distance from Piazza Venezia. So to be honest, it is not exactly a finger tip away from the city center, as it is indicated in the ad (which I admit, we could have realized ourselves by looking closely at (website hidden) maps before travelling). Even by public transport, it took us almost 40 minutes each time to reach the center, as there is no fixed schedule for the busses (you either get lucky or you don't. And we also discovered that unfortunately there are no 916 bus on Sundays...).

After spending an entire day walking and sightseeing in the city, and then having to come back to the apartment, we had little energy to go out again at night to the city, due to the distances, which was a pity (even if you have the chance to catch a bus immediately from the apartment, it's a 40min drive to Trastevere). Fortunately, there is an excellent and very friendly restaurant 5 minutes from the apartment.

Overall, we found the apartment very modern and 'ready to use', but it is difficult to referred to it or to the neighbourhood as 'charming', really. Next time and for the same price, we will favour something more 'personal', less noisy and closer to the city center.

Hope these comments will prove to be constructive.

  • Nicola was very nice and accomodating, and his place was awesome! It accomodated our group of five nicely and everything was clean, modern, and a great base for exploring Rome.

  • great place, great city, great experience.

my brother found this place and we stayed there for 3 nights. it's about 20 minutes from piazza San Pietro. there are a couple of restaurants nearby, nothing fancy, but food is ok. it's a fair walk downtown, but we're used walking while traveling, so no issues here. from Roma termini, taxi ride it's about €14.

the apartment is awesome. everything is new, modern furniture and a lot of space for 2 people. Nicola was very friendly and helpful since the beginning, even helped us extending our stay on the last minute.

I'd recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome.

  • Nicola was very informative And helpful with all of our tour needs. He was waiting for us at the apartment and showed us how to use all the appliances. The apartment was phenomenal And very close to all of the sites. A nice touch was that he had a welcome basket waiting for us With pasta, sauce and a bottle of wine.
We highly recommend Nicola's beautiful apartment.
    Thank you Nicola,

  • Nicola's apartment was just perfect! It looked just like the pictures and was very clean and comfortable. Nicola was the perfect host. He was there when we arrived and answered all our questions. He also arranged for our taxi when we left. Our stay in Rome was absolutely fabulous! We will certainly stay at this apartment again if we ever come back.

  • We chose Nicola's apartment based on positive reviews and weren't disappointed. Nicola arranged airport pickup for us and met us just as the cab dropped us off at the apartment. He quickly showed us the apartment, answered our questions about nearby amenities and left the famous complimentary basket with pasta, wine, crackers and some candy - very handy when you're coming in from a long trip and want to have a quick lunch! There was also tea and coffee in the kitchen.

The flat itself was clean and well-equipped, it had everything we needed. The en-suite bathroom is really tiny, but the second bathroom is larger. There is even a first-aid kit, which we thankfully didn't need to use.

The bedrooms may be a bit small, but the kitchen, which doubles as a living room, is quite spacious and has air conditioning just like the bedrooms, so we hung around in there most of the time that we weren't out.

The apartment is in a quiet small street quite close to the main road, but traffic noise wasn't heard. There is little traffic immediately near the building, although being situated on the ground floor, you can hear people walking/driving outside and opening/closing parking gates if you leave your windows open.

Probably the only downside was the small number of electric outlets and no adapters to plug multiple appliances into a single socket, so if you're coming with lots of gadgets that you will need to plug in, be prepared.

  • Our family had a fabulous stay in Rome. Nicola was attentive, responsive and friendly with the entire family. Only draw back was poor lighting along the laneway when returning late at night. Notwithstanding this we would recommend this for anyone traveling with a young family.

  • Great place for bigger groups to discover Rome. 2 confortable bedrooms and 1 big living room with a comfortable double sofa for 2 persons to sleep. The flat is on the ground floor so it is easy to move in and out. Car parking is available and safe. The flat was very tidy and modern. We enjoyed the sleeping in the beds after visiting the Rome attractions. Breakfast was normal and we could even drink the gift bottle of wine...

  • Nicola was a wonderful host and the apartment is more like a hotel. Perfectly immaculate. Short walk to everything in Rome. I loved it there.

  • Everything was just perfect. Nicola was very kind, appartent was very clean, all we needed was included, new furniture, kitchen, bedrooms. Parking place. I mean, we`ll definitely stay at his place once again, when we`ll get back to Roma.

The one and only tiny minus is that Metro station is about 15-20 minutes by walk from the appartment. But from the other side -- Vatican is about 400 meters away. And Roma is the city, where you should walk all the time. Using metro is not necessarry, since the appartment is in the heart of the city.

    Bravo Nicola, thank you!
