Hello! Welcome to my 2-bedroom flat in the Mission/Potrero Hill/Valencia/Guerrero Streets Neighborhood~ in a gated-community!! I have one small-medium-sized bedroom with double-bed (which is 1 bed for two people), CD player, fan, and 2 lovely bicycles included!! The room also has an iron, hairdryer, supplies for nearby laundrymat, there is a shared kitchen, and wifi to boot! There is also a shared bathroom, with shower and an old-scallope-footed bathtub. The flat is an old, railroad style flat on the second floor, with narrow and long hallways known in San Fransciso interior architecture! The noisy neighbor just moved out, but from time to time there may be some residual noise in the guest room that can not be heard in the rest of the flat because the guest window is connected to a shared outlet. If you choose, I also have a window fan that either blows air in the room, or out, and when it is on, there is no noise in the room at all....
15 minute walk to Bart, two buses pass by (#27 & #12) that go downtown to Financial District, Moscone Center, MOMA, Department Stores, and Ferry Building Area, and Fisherman's Wharf.. Mission Street is about 6 blocks west. The Castro is about a 15 minute bike-ride away or a 25ish minute walk!! Can take a longer walk to Market Street, and take the Trolley or Muni downtown to Fisherman's Wharf, or take Bart to the Embarcadero Center, Ferry Building, Oakland, Berkeley, and both San Francisco International Airport and Oakland Airport....
For shopping, there is a Safeway 5 blocks away; Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are about a 15 minute walk too!!
Flat is only 10 minutes away from the San Francisco International Airport by taxi, or take Bart to 24th Street or 16th Street Stations and walk 15 minutes!
Close to the Bay Bridge, Highway 101 and Highway 280.
Normally it is can be easy to find street parking, but there are new bars and cafes, and most of the parking is only restricted 2-Hour parking during the day. Weekend and evening parking sometimes can be easier..
The new cafes and restaurants within a block or so include Atlas Cafe (which is listed in Lonely Planet San Francisco) and Blowfish Sushi on the otherside of the street. There are 2 new restaurants, Central Kitchen with wonderful sit-in deli, and Local's Corner, 2 corner stores, a brand new laundrymat with free wifi and new washing machines and dryers, and a Bank of America ATM about a 5 minute walk down to 24th Street. Chase Bank is a 10 minutes walk in the other direction at the local shopping center.
Yoga Tree Valencia is a 15 minutes walk from the flat near Mission Street and 24th Street, with many drop-in yoga classes.24Hour Fitness gym (which includes a swimming pool) is also 10-minute walk in the other direction; by Safeway.
Shared TV in livingroom, and there is a full shared kitchen if you like, with your own space to put food.
Two cats live here too, and there is some sign that they live here just in case you have never stayed somewhere with pets! They generally stay in my bedroom, but will come out and say hi in the livingroom and down the hall! They tend to be very friendly, especially Zach, who is 4. Geena, 14, is a bit more reserved, but will probably say hi to you from time to time too!!
I have two bikes that are included in the stay. One of my previous bikes got stolen recently, so I bought a new cruiser bike.... There is one male cruiser bike with new huge cushioned cruiser seat, and one female cruiser bike... they have only one speed, but they are great for biking around the mission and going downtown towards fisherman's wharf! Many of my guests take them on the long ride through many neighborhoods across the golden gate bridge to Sausalito, and then take the ferry back to San Francisco with the bikes. However, some guests find this is too far, and have rented a bike near the bridge, or taken the bikes in a car closer to the Golden Gate Bridge. If you want a rest from the bikes, you can also put them on one of San Francisco's Muni Buses, and often it is possible to take a bike with you on Bart... just ask the station manager which cars are set aside for riders with bikes.
I have used AirBnB myself, and would love to have some interesting people pass through!! I am a counseling psychology intern in Holistic Psychology, and also work with children as a teacher!
Please email me if you have any questions!!
I try to get back to everyone's inquiry within 12 hours at the most...
Anyway, thanks for looking, and hope to see you soon!

Thanks Colleen for hospitality. I enjoyed my stay there. One can feel friendly open atmosphere in the flat. Highly recommend. Zack (the cat with green eyes) is gorgeous :)
I booked Colleen's place few hours before arriving and I could do that thanks to Colleen's reactivity ! Thanks again.
Her place is comfortable and perfectly located in SF.
If you choose to stay with Colleen : be sure that your host will do her best to make you have a great time !
I can only recommend you this airbnb deal !
Colleen was a wonderful host. She left my friend and I with guidebooks, maps, and plenty of her own tips. She also left us with towels and treats. Even while nursing a cold, Colleen was friendly and attentive. We were able to use her kitchen to store, prepare, and eat meals which added to the experience. If you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. Her neighbors are lively.
We enjoyed our stay in San Francisco at Colleen's place. The neighborhood is very quiet, next to the Mission which is very nice visit. Colleen was very nice and helpful, and the bikes were very great to explore SF (however be sure to lock all removable parts... We are still deeply sorry for the stolen seat :( )
We really recommand Colleen's apartment! Thanks again!
We spent 5 days with Colleen, which is a very good experience. The house is a nice, pretty. Guests can feel like at home. We really recommend it. The transportation is convenience. Route 9 and Route 27, which goes to downtown, is very close to Colleen's house.
Colleen is very nice, easygoing and helpful. She prepared different kinds of map in the room, and made coffee every morning. Her cats are very cute and smart, everyone stayed will love them.
This was my first stay with an Airbnb host, and a great experience. Good restaurants and cafes nearby and easy links downtown. Colleen was a freindly and helpful host, and being able to borrow a bike was a nice bonus (not the vehicle for a sporting work-out, but good for a scenic ride around the city).
We stayed one month with Colleen and it was very good. We had space and the flat was clean and comfortable. Colleen is kind and she provided us information about all what we need. And, of course, the bicycles were fantastic to move around the city!! I recommend this flat :)
We spent 4 beautiful days in Colleen's place, a very warm, quiet coloured house. We really recommend it to all Airbnb's guests. Colleen is a wonderful host: a nice and smiling woman who prepared excellent American coffee for us every morning. We fell in love with Geena and Zac, the nicest and most freindly cats of California. We really enjoyed our stay in Colleen's place and again,we really recommend it.
Staying with Colleen was like staying with an old friend — even though we had just met! She was so welcoming. She opened her home to us as if it were our own, making us coffee every morning and even offering us an ice pack when my boyfriend was having back problems. Her kitties were super friendly too!
We enjoyed staying in the Mission. It was close to a lot of great restaurants and there was a lot going on, so I'd definitely recommend it for younger couples who are looking to experience more than the tourist stops.
In an unfortunate series of events, the lock was cut on one of the bikes I borrowed. Of course no one wants to tell their AirBnB host that a bike got stolen under their care, but Colleen was so sweet and understanding. But having the bikes was definitely an awesome perk. I got to ride San Francisco Critical Mass!
Colleen wes very friendly and helpful ! The flat is near all comodities, in a great district. The room was clean and perfect for us. A good place !
