This whitewashed cave house, hanging on the cliffs of the caldera, is part of a traditional synthesis of houses owned by a family of architects. The complex used to be the old bakery of Oia and it was recently restored with respect to the unique local architecture. The marble floors, the built in beds and the antique furniture together with modern amenities strike the right balance between sophistication and coziness.
Out on the wide terrace literally on the rim of the caldera, the sensational view of the volcano will leave you breathless. The deep blue of the sea landscape and the picturesque
domed houses carved in the volcanic earth create a calm and magic atmosphere filling you with emotions you have never felt before.
Our houses are located just a few steps from the heart of the village of Oia. All traditional tavernas and high quality restaurants, cafes, shops and the world famous Oia sunset are at a walking distance. The complex is very close to the parking area, taxis and public transportation.
Originally renovated for personal use, the houses combine traditional style with comfort. The built in king size bed (200x 200 cm) and the double bed (140x200 cm) with high quality latex mattress and the fully equipped kitchen with a small oven, ceramic hot plates, small refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster and cutlery will make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We will meet upon your arrival in Oia and I will be at your disposal for anything you may need during your stay. I will be glad to share with you info about Santorini and everything that is worth doing here.

Laskarina's "Parathira Cave house 2" was beautiful! I thought the apartment was even better than what it looked like in the pictures.
It is in a perfect spot in Oia with a large deck with a view of the ocean. The apartment was extremely clean. Every other day a cleaning woman came to the apartment. It was decorated beautifully and had everything that we needed (including bottled water and wine!) I loved that the apartment still had the quintessential "Santorini cave" feel to it.
Laskarina was very nice and so was her husband (who we only met briefly). She provided a cell phone to make calls in Greece which was very helpful for those traveling internationally who do not want to spend tons of money on international calls. She also offered to call a cab for us to and from the airport.
If I ever come back to Santorini I will definitely be staying here! I have already recommended this place to my family and friends who plan to visit Santorini this next year.
We have just returned from our first time exploring Greece and John & Laskirina's accommodations was a highlight! The communications prior to our stay and during were excellent!
We were kindly welcomed at the airport (organized by Laskirina) and a gentlemen helped us with our luggage down the stairs to a warm welcome from John. Words cannot express the incredible view well enough and the property is well shown in the pictures - stunning! The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom & kitchen provided us with all our needs. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the terrace and explored the island with terrific help from Laskarina & John. The restaurants were plentiful and delicious. The people warm and very friendly. Some highlights were; Captain Ted's catamaran sail, hike from Fira to Oia, Amoudi Bay, drinks at the Sunset Bar during the Beautiful sunset (get there early).
We highly recommend staying at this property. You will be in very good hands to build memories that will last a life time.
I arrived late at night with a welcome basket of fruit and water. THANKYOU! There was everything there I needed until lunch the following day (although I am a girl). Anna was there to greet me and show me around, my airport shuttle was there to greet me, and Laskarina is just a very good person.
Loved my stay. Oh, lots of stairs. Your luggage will be brought up and down, but just know there are lots of stairs. Ibjust thought of it as needed exercise by the end, but there are about 30 stairs (or so it seems...15?) to go up and down each time. They seem less the longer you're there. By the last day, I was jogging up and down like everyone else.
The cave house is beautiful with stunning million dollar views! The house is cozy and has an amazing patio. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and eating on the on the patio in the morning. We didn't get to meet Laskarina but she was just an email away and very quick to respond. She was very helpful and arranged a taxi to and from the airport for us and had someone meet us at the house to help with our luggage. It was the off season so the island wasnt very busy. Since the island was still gearing up for the summer it meant tbat not all the restaurants were open for the season yet but we didn't mind there were still a few great restaurants open-amazing food and it gave us a more authentic experience! The town of Oia is a little gem! We also rented a car and explored the island - a must do! I definitely recommend staying at the cave house- we will be back!
We booked Laskarina's house for three nights, however we stayed there for only one night. Laskarina and her husband John are nice, and the house is well decorated with gorgeous view, but because we were being there in off season, we couldn't find restaurant opened in the town, and there was a power failure in the town next morning, we had to remove to Fira. I believe that if you come to Laskarina's house in summer, it'll be a nicer experience.
The house is amazing! We would like to stay more because everything was perfect! The house is well equiped and very nice decorated. The view is one of the best in Oia.
Laskarina organised our transfer from the port and for our departure. Everything was easy with her.
We absolutely loved our stay here! Perfect location, lovely house and wonderful hosts. From the moment we reserved our dates, Laskarina was so helpful in answering my questions and working with me in advance to set-up transportation from the port to the house. Once we arrived at the parking lot, we had help making our way to the house where we met Yannis who answered more of our questions! The house was very clean and comfortable. They even left us a mobile phone so we could call locally and reach them if we needed anything. They also had bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge! The house was a quick an easy walk to the main path in Oia - close to shops, restaurants, you name it. We stayed 3 nights, I wish it could have been more. I would highly recommend the Parathira Cave House 2 and hope we can make it back sometime in the future.
