The Space

Hello Traveler!

If you choose to rent our room, we assume that you like nice things, convenience is important to you and that you are a friendly and open-minded person. If this sounds like you, welcome, you are making an excellent decision.

At our "artistically-inclined" apartment, you'll have a full bed (sleeps 2), space for your belongings, central air conditioning (crucial in the summer), washer/dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen and a spacious tiled bathroom. Oh yeah, we have private access to a large outdoor patio - It has a hammock, grill, 2 tables with 8 chairs, fire pit, lounge chairs & lots of nice evening lighting.

In an effort to help you pack light and make your stay as comfortable as possible, we provide clean towels, a hair dryer, umbrellas, stove-top espresso, coffee, orange juice or tea as well as basic breakfast items in the mornings. We also have 2 universal outlet adapters for you to use with most non-American devices.

Our 2nd floor apartment is steps away from the Lorimer "L" subway stop, only a few blocks from the "heart of Williamsburg" & down the street from a large park. Our neighborhood is recognized world-wide for its art, music, and culinary options. There is plenty of free street parking and there's a safe place for a bike on our patio. If you get stuck inside for whatever reason, we provide Netflix (for movies), a Nintendo Wii, computer access and a potato peeler that looks like a monkey.

We are a couple (25 & 27 years old) who are very much into enjoying life and helping others make the most out of their time in NYC. We will stay out of your way for the most part, but if you have any questions or need city advice, you will be pleasantly surprised at our depth of local knowledge.

Seriously, it is simply awesome. I feel funny even trying to "sell" it to you. I think access is key...you can get anywhere in the city very quickly from our location.

NOTE: Please contact us before making a reservation. Our calendar page is not always 100% accurate & we'd love to "e-meet" you first.

**We don't accept same day requests - In order to provide a comfortable and memorable stay for our guests, we typically like to book dates at least 1 week in advance**

  • Me and my sister stayed here for a week in the end of june. First of all, David and Aviva are the best hosts ever. So friendly, relaxed and helpful! They gave us great tips about what to do and where to eat, both in Williamsburg and in the city, and helped us plan our days to get the most out of our stay. They are reason enough to stay here in my opinion! The apartment is nicely located in W.burg, with only a two minute walk to the subway with only three stops to the city. It is a quiet area, but close to bars and restaurants. We did not experience much noise, even though the room is facing the street. The apartment has AC, which is really nice in the summer. The patio in the back is also great! The room it self was a bit small, but we didn't find that problematic, and Im guessing it would be nice for a couple.
All in all, I would definitely recommend others to stay here, specially if you want to experience Williamsburg and get great "secret" tips about the neighborhood from some locals with a lot of knowledge :)

  • This is the perfect Williamsburg nook. David and Aviva are lovely hosts. I describe my experience in their home by saying that I couldn't think of anything I needed before they offered it to me. The home is lovely and creative, great roof, steps from the L train, right in the heart of wonderful Williamsburg.

David and Aviva obviously love to host. They made me feel absolutely at home in their space. This was my first time renting a room in a home on airbnb and I think I may have been spoiled. I wholeheartedly recommend.

  • David and Aviva were nice enough, however we were disappointed with the stay.
First off were expecting a double bed, as listed, however it is a fold out sofa bed that was uncomfortable and way too small for two. Also the room was tiny, cluttered and there really seemed to be minimal effort to make you feel welcome, more like a last minute crash then a rented room. We initially booked for three nights but only stayed the first night. For the same price we got a hotel room with our own bathroom and space for our 2 suitcases a few blocks away.
This stay is definitely suited to a single traveller. We feel they should be more realistic about the size of the apartment, as more then 3 people is sincerely cramped in the space, emphasised by the two seater sofa in the lounge/kitchen (whereby only two people can sit, so you don't really feel like you can hang around).

  • So the hosts are The coolest, friendliest and sweetest out. Every detail is thought through by these guys - I'm serious! The location is beyond perfect. Don't even try looking for a better position on airbnb - you won't find it. This place is so close you could prob throw your shoe from the bedroom window to the L train subway. It's handy to all the fun, cool spots, there aren't 9 hipsters or 4 cats living in your room... but the best bit is the welcoming feeling and the hot tips you will get from David. Go! Book it! Hurry! Pronto! X

  • There's probably no better place in NYC to stay. The subway is literally a few steps from the door and right next to the subway you can get the best bagels in the city!
David and Aviva are just unbelievably lovely and welcoming. They really do everything to make your stay perfect. We really felt like coming home and not just being guests.
Not to mention how awesome Williamsburg is!

  • I had a fantastic time at David and Aviva's place! They were extremely sweet and accommodating when we crossed paths, which turned out to be not much as everyone was busy. David was extremely organized with communication and getting me there and sorted out. As for the place itself- perfect. Great location, great room, cute decorating. Was a 1 minute walk from the subway station, lots of good bars and restaurants in the area. Couldn't have asked for better. I would totally try and stay there again, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to travellers going to Brooklyn/NYC.

  • David & Aviva are great hosts, very helpful. They gave us so many good advices, and addresses for Willamsburg area (our favourite area for shopping -vintage & LP shops- and restaurants, bars...) and Manhattan. D & A like New York and want all the visitors love the city as much as they do. The room and the flat are really nice, very clean, with good tastes, with A/C, and the patio is an awesome place. It is really close to the subway (Lorimer Station / L line) just across the street, and 5-10 minutes to Manhattan by subway. It wa super easy for the organization, very quick answers, very clear instructions to arrive from the airport, very easy for the arrival and departure... We loved our stay and we want to come back and to share this contact & address to our friends and everyone ! Perfect place and hosts !

  • For my first experience using airbnb David and his beautiful wife really set the bar high. They were gracious hosts to myself and my friend, and I would highly recommend staying with them. Communication was open and frequent, they had great recommendations for local places to eat and drink, and their super cute clean apt was very central to the subway and eating/shopping. Despite some torrential down pour, our Brooklyn stay was awesome, but we just wished that we could've stayed longer and gotten to know our hosts a bit better since they seemed like a very fun loving inspiring young couple.

  • David and Aviva are wonderful hosts. They couldn't do enough to ensure my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay in their lovely flat (with a totally amazing roof terrace!) and we will be ever grateful for their warmth and kindness. The flat is super convenient, 2 stops on the subway from Manhattan and easily accessible from JFK. They provided everything we might have needed such as adaptors, access to the internet, maps and guide books. Williamsburg is buzzing, friendly and fun- we just wish we had had more time to explore the area. I can't recommend David and Aviva and their place enough and we will definitely go back if we ever manage to get back to New York in the near future!

  • David and Aviva were awesome from start to finish. They welcomed me into their home and made me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. The room was lovely, with everything you could need, the apartment is beautiful and extremely clean and the roof terrace was gorgeous.
They both helped with any questions I had and also made me breakfast which was incredibly sweet of them. The apartment is in a great, safe neighbourhood, close to transport links & it is easy to reach manhattan or any other neighbourhood from there. All in all, great hosts, great apartment and I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back as often as they will have me.
