We look forward to hosting you during your visit to Minneapolis - the city of Lakes!
My guests have included students, professors, artists, business people and visitors from Italy, India, Taiwan, Turkey, Indonesia, Canada, Brazil, and all parts of the USA. Hope to host you soon!

Interaction with Guests
We will be present most of the time, though we work full time and are involved with community activities. You will be provided with freshly ground coffee, fine tea, and an amazing cooked breakfast. Often times we invite our guest to join us for an evening meal - David is a fine cook! Conversation over drinks is also not unusual. Your space will be honored, but this is a shared living situation.
Walking and biking paths, tennis courts, several lakes, and parkland surround the neighborhood. The excitement of Uptown Minneapolis is less than a mile by foot. This is a special place.
There is bus service less than 100 feet from the from door that connects with light rail to airport and a 12 minute trip to DT Minneapolis via bus. "Nice Ride" bicycles are docked less than 2 blocks from the condo.
You are welcome to use the entire condo: the comfortable living room with HD TV and streaming music, spread out and work on a project on the dining room table, or use the gourmet kitchen to prepare something to eat or drink. Our home will become yours during your stay. Smoking is only allowed outdoors.
This was my first time using Airbnb so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. David was there when I arrived after an early morning flight. Within 10 minutes, I was completely at ease and knew that it would be a great stay. A window fan and air conditioner kept the room comfortable, despite the very warm and humid weekend. The room and condo were beautiful, and I was encouraged to make myself at home. Coming in late at night was not an issue.
I enjoyed the conversations with both David and Edward over coffee and a tasty breakfast, and late in the evening after my return to the house. They are gracious hosts and I definitely will return the next time I visit my son in Minneapolis.
"A fantastic experience" doesn't do justice to our hosts. I was totally at home and treated like a king. The food was exquisite and every effort was made to make every experience memorable. David and Edward spent quality time with me sharing their home and took the time to show my son and I a great time in the Twin Cities. Thanks for Everything! Dave
If you're traveling to Minneapolis, do yourself a favor and stay with David. He and Edward were incredibly warm, generous hosts and made me feel right at home. They were funny and interesting, David made me great conference-fuel breakfasts in the morning, and they didn't mind my up early / back late schedule. Not to mention Duncan, resident Lab and total sweetheart - the entire experience could not have been better!
Fantastic experience! Beautiful home, great neighborhood, wonderful conversation, cooking and cocktails!
David and Edward went above and beyond all expectations to make me feel welcome in their home - even helping me out with suggestions/transport & photos for my new retail business in Minneapolis.
I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to stay in the Twin Cities & very much look forward to repaying their hospitality in England!
David and Edward were fantastic hosts -- they really made me feel completely welcome and at ease. The bedroom was comfortable, with AC and a desk. And the bathroom was impeccable. I did not spend much time in the apartment, but it is very cozy and well located, close to Lyndale Ave to the east and the lakes to the west.
David and Edward are both very interesting people and gracious hosts. And their dog Duncan is adorable! The three nights in their home was my best airbnb experience so far.
David and Edward made me feel like home, they were really kind and thoughtful. The first day they invited my dinner, and after David gave me a tour to the neighborhood. Whatever I needed I ask for David advises and helped me with all that I need.
The neighborhood is very well located, walking distance to Lake Calhoun and all the night life of Uptown.
I definitely recommend staying here and I will do on my return to Minneapolis.
Comfortable room in a wonderful neighborhood. David and Edward were exceptionally kind and helpful. Coffee in the morning was much welcomed, and their home is perfectly located within walking access of Lakes Calhoun and Harriet, plenty of coffee shops and restaurants, and a Nice Ride station for biking. Highly recommended.
