A great stop on the way to parks, hiking, sightseeing, and other outdoor recreation. Yellowstone National Park, The Idaho Falls, BYU-Idaho, Bear World, Jackson Hole, Grand Tetons, St Anthony Sand Dunes, Idaho Falls Temple, and Island Park just to name a few. Easy access to Highway 20. Fifteen minutes to Idaho Falls Airport. Great for business travelers with a need for high speed internet.

The space
The building is over 100 years old and we are located in the industrial area of a small rural safe little town called Ucon, just outside of Idaho Falls. The apartment is ground level, so no steps. You can park right in front of the door, so taking in luggage and supplies is easy! The kitchen and living room are very spacious. Bedrooms are air conditioned in the summer time. The town has a popular cafe, post office, tennis courts, and a small park for children to play or to have picnics. You may want to shop for food and supplies as there isn't a grocery store in the town, but the local service station has basic supplies. Or just about 5 minutes to the north is Rigby. They have a nice grocery store "Broulims" and several restaurants as well as a Wendy's, Arctic Circle and Dairy Queen.

Location

Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States

This building is in the industrial part of a very small town. (1300 people). The hard working factory workers leave between 4:30 and 5:00, so it is very quiet at night and you seldom see them during the day and the factory is quiet. Next door to our apartments, is Holst radiator repair shop for Semi Trucks. They also leave early in the evening. It is a very successful business, so you will see many semi's waiting for repair. The Holst's have several family run businesses in town and have lived in Ucon for years. They are friendly, good neighbors. The railroad is nearby as well, but only runs during the daytime. Our grandchildren love watching the trains.

The town has two city parks, both nice and one of them has a tennis court. There is a Shell service station and a US Post office, also a local cafe which serves homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner. Five minutes to the North in Rigby you will find a grocery store (Broulims) and fast food places as well as a couple of restaurants.

Heading South, take exit 313 or 311 and after about 15 minutes of traveling through country and houses, you will reach the mall with shopping, restaurants, a movie theater and a Walmart.

If you continue south on highway 20 in less than 15 minutes you will exit to the City Center where you can walk the beautiful greenbelt, visit the Japanese gardens next to the Snake River and see the LDS Temple. There is a Temple Visitor Center next to the Temple where visitors are welcome.

Idaho Falls has a delightful zoo at Tautphaus Park and the Museum of Idaho generally has great displays. East Idaho Aquarium is small, but nice. Idaho Falls has three golf courses. Battle Zone and I-jump are popular entertainment centers. Kids Town at The Falls is also loads of fun for your children.
Feel free to take a leisurely walk one block down 109 north in Ucon and you will be in the residential part of town. You will find the people friendly and the town safe.

If you are traveling north in about 20 minutes you will reach Rexburg, where you will find many things to do. Besides various restaurants and fast food places, Rexburg has a small spray park which is free in Porter Park. There is a carousel and playground area as well. Rexburg Rapids is a popular place to cool off. Legacy Flight Museum is an airplane hangar with historic model planes, the Museum of Rexburg is right next to the library. Rexburg also has family history center. The Nature Park is a serene area for fishing and disc golf. Smith Park is a nice picnic/play area for children and has a tennis court. Rexburg has a historic Tabernacle as well as two theaters and a bowling and arcade center. Beaver Dick Park is also a popular picnic area near the river. Kidsburg is a children's discovery center. It is near the Walmart shopping center. The Craze Fun Zone is a fun laser tag center. Our family has enjoyed playing there several times. BYU-Idaho campus welcomes visitors as well. They have the fabulous I-Center with beautiful paintings. Contact campus tours for a great experience. Rexburg also has an LDS Temple.

I grew up in the area where my listings are at. Enjoy hiking, running, biking, and whitewater kayaking and rafting. I like hosting airbnb. It is interesting to meet people and hear why they are traveling to the area.
