Rachel’s flat is wonderfully located, close to the main historic sites in Edinburgh and to many good restaurants/ bars. The apartment is very comfortable and the view is superb. I loved that it has two accesses: from N Bank Street and from the alley!!! Great value for money. I st…

Rachel’s unit is ideally centrally located. Go out the door that is the same level as the apartment and you are in the midst of Old Town. Go out the door at bottom and it is a easy walk over the Mound to Prince Street & New Town. Lots of places nearby to eat and convenient to E…

Wow! The location of Rachel's place is even better than I had expected. And it's an adorable studio! It was absolutely perfect for me and my husband. Highly recommend.

This space was perfect for what I needed! It is in a very central location, with everything that you could possibly need or want to see right out your door. I didn’t find it to be too noisy or anything, despite the prime location. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen ha…

My husband and I recently stayed here for 10 days while honeymooning in Edinburgh. This apartment was perfectly located between Old Town and New Town, as well as being close to public transit, great restaurants, and pubs. It was so easy to walk most anywhere from here, and we wer…

While this flat is wonderfully located, it has some issues. My friend and I were asked when we were intending to arrive at the flat and indicated that it would be before 10, yet there was no one to let us in out of the cold and rain for over 15 minutes. We strongly recommend that…

Response from Rachel:
Dear Madi and Anne, Thank you for the happy sweet note you left at Bed With a View. As it is the opposite of this review, i'd like to address some of the contradictions. I am committed to providing good service and a comfortable stay. - Your booking was confirmed instantly, yet despite the paper trail you appear to have been confused and made another booking. This was un-nerving as our communications had been clear, and everything was ready for your arrival. To respond to your comments: - Gill arranged to meet you at ten am, five hours earlier than the normal check in time, and was there at 9:55am. Having arrived early, you sent a message at 9.46am; a wait time of nine minutes. - There were three rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom cabinet. I'm sorry you didn't find them. - Thank you for your feedback about the bed. It has a firm mattress, which is two years old, however, I will look into adding a thicker topper. - As the flat is centrally located, in the heart of Scotland's capital city, some noise is to be expected. I'm sorry that you were disturbed by the neighbours. - Bed With a View is in a UNESCO area of outstanding heritage, with limitations on the kind of windows that can be fitted. I'm sorry to hear that the secondary glazing rattled. The exceptional weather conditions and unusual wind direction may have contributed to this. I will check the window fittings. - The flat has many lights and lamps. I can only touch the ceiling if standing on a chair. - The individually wrapped organic Clipper tea sachets are definitely in date - i'm sorry they were not to your taste. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate fair criticism and respond to helpful feedback. Best and bookiest, Rachel

We spent Hognamy here and boy was it centrally locates. Too centrally locates for us. We booked NYE at an Ibis to be closer to the venue we had booked for a gala. Rachel was kind to give us a partial refund for that night. We didn’t realize all the festivities would be literally …
