Welcome to our little farm in the Appalachian Mountains surrounded by pure nature. Where a Christmas tree farm, Blue Ridge Parkway and Mtns to Sea trail hug this farm. Convenient location 15 to 20 mins. from downtown Boone, Jefferson, Blowing Rock and Wilkes. Appalachian State just 20 minutes out.
Blue Ridge Parkway and New River less than 5 miles near. Hiking trails throughout the high country are waiting for your adventure.

The space
Spend an afternoon relaxing on the country porch of this 1920s farm house. Unwind while listening to the creek, gazing at the mountains and smelling the fresh surrounding Christmas trees. Enjoy hiking up to the Blue Ridge Parkway or adjoining Mtns to Sea trail. Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy the nearby cycling, skiing, fishing, canoeing and zip lining adventures.
This renovated farm house is great for that family gathering. You will enjoy a comfortable living area, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, washer/dryer, Apple TV and internet. Great outdoor covered sitting area with gas firepit. Spacious yard, awesome fire pit for marshmallow roasting, creek and hammock make it great for a lazy relaxing stay.
Farm is conveniently located in the High Country near scenic towns like Blowing Rock, Boone and West Jefferson, with easy access to three major ski resorts and many tourist attractions. Take a relaxing drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy the mountain views, trails and waterfalls just minutes from this farm. Enjoy a great selection of unique shops with local arts and crafts as well as outlet shops all within 10 to 15 miles. Boone and Blowing Rock offer outstanding restaurants. Appalachian State University is 15 minutes away.
Farm is in the community of Deep Gap, a rural farming area full of lush green fields and old farm land. Please note this is a working farm situated at the end of a state maintained gravel road. Expect the usual farm activity and noise such as tractor, ATV, mower and chain saws. Natural spring water is collected on site and prepared for distribution up to 3 times weekly. Farm house water is from our natural spring, enjoy.
Please not, host lives on premises, up the hill.
You will need a vehicle here. There is a Dollar General and farm store within one mile. Grocery store 5 miles out. Please respect All No Trespassing signs.

Master bedroom and one bedroom upstairs will have window air condition units when needed.

Pet fee of $ PER DOG (only 2 dogs allowed) must be paid prior to arrival if you choose not to pay through Airbnb. pets cannot be left home alone, must have kennel and must be leashed when outside (farm animals around).
Please no cats as we are highly allergic.

**PLEASE NOTE-Winter is unpredictable in the Mtns. We may have snow, sleet or ice. During inclement weather the State will clear our road sometimes 2 or 3 days late so you WILL need an All Wheel drive or 4 Wheel drive or chains.
*Christmas tree choose n cut on premises.
Natural spring collection site on premises with distribution up to 3 times weekly.
Working farm -expect farm equipment and vehicles.
Instruction for oven in left drawer.
A/C is only in 3 of the bedrooms-available May -September.
Dogs on leash when out side- farm animals on site. Pets must be kenneled when left in house.
Please do not allow pets and children under 10 to roam outside unattended.
Please honor Pet Rules-only 2 dogs allowed. No pets on furniture or on house blankets or bedding. No cats please as we are highly allergic.
Please respect ALL No Trespassing signs.
Sauna NOT for public use.

Eddie and I love to travel around the country and thoroughly enjoy meeting different flavors of people. Both of us are outdoor enthusiast and love to hike, bike, ski, kayak and anything outdoors. We enjoy climbing to the top of the mountain to catch the sunset or sitting on the porch in the evening to play fetch with the pup and listen to the creek. We are very easy going, yet full of energy and always ready to share all the beauty we enjoy. We are also very accommodating and will often open our home to last minute guests and friends needing a place to relax.
