The Space

Only 2 km from the historic centre (that you can also reach on foot), Home Sweet Home is an apartment (130sqm) already renovated, furnished with stylish furniture, equipped with 3 large terraces and surrounded by greenery, located in Monteverde one of the most elegant areas of Rome,

You can enjoy 3 SWIMMING POOLS (2 indoor and 1 outdoor), 50 meters from apartment.

We have a FREE PARKING area (if you don't find street parking) on a private street near the apartment (50 meters).

The apartment offers accommodation until 11 people. It consists of 1 living room with sofa bed, 3 large rooms (from 20 to 25 sqm / room - red, orange e yellow room) that can be arranged with 2 or 3 beds(double bed + single or 3 singles), 2 bathrooms with tub, large separate kitchen with washing machine, and 3 terraces (one with a table to have lunch in the green). In the apartment you have all hot water you need even if you are many people. You can take a shower when you want (without fear of remaining without hot water).
The apartment layout was thought to ensure privacy to each occupant of every house’s room. Also our large kitchen is separated from the other room. All rooms are in fact protected by doors (included living room).

There is also a washing machine for your free and exclusive use.

If you need WIFI from 1 May we have a new internet connection: It’s an hight speed connection and it works 24 hours, always hight speed and you don’t have limits about its use (you can play game, look television or make…what you want!). ask me for information and price.
Baby bed on request .
This year the pools are subject to charges but at a very low cost (5 euros / person per day for all 3 pools) For a large group or for a long period (more than a week) or if there are little children, our pools manager usually give us a little gift: a further reduction on the price .

If you want we can offer you a SHUTTLE SERVICE customized at competitive prices to / from airports or stations. We are at your disposal for any your particular request.

"We are in a green hill in the heart of Rome, well connected and adjacent to the historic center. That's why Monteverde is considered one of the most elegant and sophisticated residential neighborhoods of the city.
We are in a typically residential street (green and silent), but at 50 meters away from us there is Colli Portuensi Avenue, full of elegant shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and even a covered market with typical Italian products. (all reached on foot). Just 150 meters, you have an equipped children's play area and 1km Villa Doria Pamphili, one of the most beautiful parks in Rome, (if you like jogging, to have a picnic or relax in spacious green areas, surrounded by some ancient statues or fountains). And after… only 2 km you are at Trastevere, one of the most beautiful and characteristic districts of the ancient city. Rome is also near to the sea (we mostly because we are situated to the south-west of the city). You can arrive in 20 minutes at Fiumicino airport and in 30 at the sea (Ostia and the Natural Reserve of Castel Porziano or Fiumicino). This is possible because our neightbour has a optimal shortcut to Roma-Fiumicino motorway, and Grande Raccordo Anulare. You can easily reach the same places by bus or train. "

There are 4 bus stops to 50 meters away from our apartment (line 31 brings you in few stops to Vatican Museums and St. Peter Cathedral). Luckly we have at 800 meters (reachable also by 2 bus stops of line 31), the line 8, tramway with route reserved which takes in 10 minutes to Trastevere and to the centre of Rome. We are at the same distance (25km) from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports. (Connections are also guaranteed by bus and metro).

When you will be here, it'll be a pleasure for me to give you information about restaurants, typical places, shops, children's areas around us and all the information that only those who live in Rome can know.

I'll try to do my best to answer you in 24 hours.
I'm waiting for you! Welcome.

  • We spent a couple of days here and I really have no complaints. The apartment was neat and clean, there is plenty of space for seven people (2 bathrooms, 3+1 private rooms), and Grazia was a very friendly, responsive and helpful host. We didn't use the nearby pool at all, but we went to check it out and it looked like a good way to cool down on a hot day (albeit a bit crowded at the time). All in all, I would definitely recommend this listing.

  • Gracia is a really nice and friendly host. Communication was great, she answered all our questions in advance and while we were there.
The apartment was the way it was described, spacious and clean, thanks Gracia for telling us all the details about the area and how to get around.
We can definitely recommend Gracia and her apartment.

  • Our host was very welcoming and informative and provided shuttle service to the apartment, which had a good sized space for a big family.

Amenities, buses and markets were walking distance from our location which was very convenient. The local swimming pool was accessible for 5EUR per person. Our main issue was the shower setup as it was quite small and had an awkward setup.

Otherwise the apartment and our host were of good service.

  • The apartment is very nice and perfect for a large family. It has three bedrooms and a living room with a sofa bed. Everything was clean and worked as it should.

The location is in a quiet residential area outside the centre of Rome. However, there is a street with shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc just 6-7 minutes walking from the apartment. This street also has bus lines going past the Vatican and with the option of transferring to a tram that goes to Piazza Venezia (central Rome). All in all, it was relatively easy to travel to the tourist sights (although the bus seemed to run quite infrequently on Sundays and holidays).

Grazia was a very nice host and always responded quickly to messages. When we arrived she sat down with us and gave us lots of useful information about the local area, which we appreciated very much.

  • Grazia was a superb host. We were a large family party (eleven people) and recently stayed at this property for five nights.  Before our arrival I was in frequent contact with Grazia about sleeping arrangements,  queries about the property,  etc. All these queries were answered quickly which was greatly appreciated.  Nothing was too much trouble.

The property is a pleasant property in a quiet residential area. The flat was clean and well presented. We were within easy walking distance to the local supermarket, an excellent restaurant (Retro...don't miss it!!), and what must have been the best ice cream shop in Rome. Upon our arrival Grazia sat down with us and gave us a lot of local knowledge and recommendations which we really appreciated.

Travel into Rome was not difficult although the Rome bus "timetable" is a mystery!  We were pretty close to the Tram system which gave us easy access right into the city centre.

One of the selling points of the apartment was the nearby pool, which was a determining factor in our decision to come here. The outside pool was great and we enjoyed using it on one occasion. The weekend we were there was the change over from the outside pool to the inside so our second visit had to be to the inside - this pool was extremely cold and we were limited to only one lane which is difficult with 4 young children.

If you intend to use the pool all day you will get value for money....if you don't it may be an idea to avoid due to price. We were given an immovable price of €25 for all if us which is good for use all day. Bearing in mind we were there on the first occasion for about 2 hours and the second time for half an hour (due to the coldness of the inside pool) a total of €50 was absolutely crazy.  The pool however is not under the control of Grazia therefore I suggest you use your bargaining ability with the owner of the pool.

All in all, Grazia was an ideal host who offers accommodation of a high standard.  We would be happy to return.

  • This is a spacious and well furnished apartment in the very pleasant suburb of Monteverde. Good for a family, particularly if kids are happy to walk. Easy access to Centro Storico by tram and the Vatican by bus and easy route out of Rome by car. Walking distance to food shops and restaurants.

Grazia was a warm and helpful but unobtrusive host. She kindly organised a taxi from the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

  • Beware!!!! Stay anywhere else but here. The listing is not at all as described and if we did not have a positive attitude, the trip would of been a fail. Thank goodness Airbnb helped resolve some issues or we would of been charged for things that were wrong with the apt. We have travelled extensively for 1 year and have never had an experience like this. I am sorry to say but because of this experience, we will only stay in hotels in the future. Look elsewhere but enjoy Rome!

    Response from Grazia:

This person was in my apartment and immediately began to create problems to me and to Airbnb too. She is a person absolutely inadequate to travel (I think perhaps she suffers from problems of anxiety and panic attacks..I don’t know and I don’t want to know it!) Anyway she was assisted in all ways and manners possible by us as it’s normal for us to do as you can see from our feedbacks. In return when she and her friends left our apart, we found TWO roller shutters broken!!! She is also left without informing us of anything!!! I have requested damages to climb from bail. The damage was evident but she don’t wanted to pay. Airbnb has recognized my reasons. I had not released feedback on her for not putting her in trouble. Now,, against my way of being, I am forced to defend myself from this little attempt at revenge. I think she would have done well to remain silent. I do not like all this.

  • Graziella was an absolute pleasure to get to know. She is a warm, charming, caring woman who made sure we were comfortable and organised in her palatial apartment. We stayed there for 2 weeks with two small children. It was a very comfortable home away from home. We used the tram or bus to get to the sites of Rome. We enjoyed staying outside of the tourist zone as we had more space to ourselves, charming locals and some fantastic local food. We hope to visit again one day.

  • Graziella was more than a perfect host. She exceeded all our expectations, by her extremely helpful, kind, and mainly attentive approach.
The apartment was absolutely great in an amazing area. Everything was prepared for us, and equipped with all the needed things.
It was so reassuring and one of the best experiences as well, that Graziella organized our stay very precisely!!!, there was no missing point, what we've agreed on, or delay. Even we've arrived after midnight, she was there in time, also any time, when we needed her. She was absolutely professional.
We felt at home from the first minute, which Graziella just strengthened as she treated as with the greatest hospitality.
We considered our stay in Rome as one of our best vacations ever and Graziella as a host had in this experience extremely big role.
We truly suggest Graziella's place to everybody, as she was one of the few people during our numerous travels, whom we considered not just a reliable host but a great person as well

    Response from Grazia:

Dear Zoltan, you and your family are so nice people....Thank you!!! Many, many, many thanks.

  • Grazia was a very gracious host. She had us picked up at the airport and brought straight to the apartment. The apartment met our needs and was great. The only downside was the wifi. We paid extra for it but it hardly worked. We couldn't even check our emails at time. Other than that, it was perfect!

I am an architect and I live in Rome, I love traveling and I've also lived abroad. I speak French and a bit of English. With Spanish ... I hope to make progress. That picture is obviously not me but "Rome". She will be the real enchantress goddess of your holiday (for professional reasons I cannot tie my image to an advertisement. I might add a photo of a beautiful blonde woman or a handsome young man and sparing you my dissertation. But it would not be serious and, especially, what would be the point? I think instead that the goal is to offer you maximum reliability about the veracity of what you see and read here about our apartments. For this reason I have accepted the offer of Airbnb to send me their photographs to take photos but also to verify everything they have seen in our apartments. (see logo on the photos). If you decide to be our guest, on arrival you will find everything that you've seen in photos or found described here. No unpleasant surprises! Instead I will be pleased to welcome you personally (and I hope that our meeting will be a pleasant surprise, for both!). “Casa Welcome” was my home a short time ago. After all, to build and furnish homes is my job! I hope our houses can accommodate you in the best way. They were conceived to offer you all the comfort possible, using any technique and experience that are proper of my profession. (equipment, furniture and supplies in the apartment, all "first class"), while taking advantage of exclusive services worthy of a 5-star hotel (3 swimming pools, health club, concierge, bar / snack bar, children's playground, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera .... ). Roma and I will wait for you and, of course, ... WELCOME!
