There are also dvd’s available. No Cable TV. Access to washer and dryer with 7+ day stay. Carport and added parking space for two cars. There is a walk path down to the bridge and another into the 3 wooded lots behind the house, both with fire pits. Wood is provided. Beautful bird sanctuary! Don’t forget to use my online Airbnb guidebook for tourist information.

I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob.
I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination.
I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists.
I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean/disinfect as you stay.
I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.

Where you’ll be

Cherokee Village, Arkansas, United States

Cherokee Village was established as a retirement community in the 1950’s. It is quiet and peaceful and located on 15,000 acres of woods. There are seven lakes, a marina for renting pontoon boats on Lake Thunderbird, nature trails, a natural spring, two seasonal waterfalls, two 18 hole golf courses and pools. Hardy is within 15 minutes. It has an historic downtown area filled with antique shops and restaurants, Spring River floating and kayak rentals. About one hour’s travel distance north is the Mark Twain national Forest. Make sure to hike Greer Springs, Turner Mill, and Falling Springs. I would recommend stopping at Greer Recreational Area to ask for specific directions to these three magnificent places! See my Facebook page for further details on local hikes.

Check out my favorite local restaurants . . . Chow on the Square close to City Hall and Carol’s Lakeview across from Lake Thunderbird. Spring River Draft House, Chok D Thai, and Artisan Grill are fab. You will find more recommendations for local services in my guestbook and at Cherokee Village Town Center Visitor Center.

After owning and operating The Glenwood Village Tearoom and Gift Shop in Shreveport for 30 years, I decided to retire to this haven in the woods. My Louisiana business was featured in Southern Living Magazine, Fodor’s Travel Guide to the South and on the Travel Channel; so hosting and entertaining are what I love! Living here in Cherokee Village is an absolute delight. May I share this special haven with you? Come and enjoy the peace this special place in nature affords.
