Where you’ll be

糸島市志, 福岡県, Japan

The house is situated in a small quiet village surrounded by beaches and farmland. The surrounding area is quite popular with tourists and nearby there are several farm shops, cafes and restaurants. The well renowned Sakurai Shrine is only a 10 minute walk away and within a 20 minute walk is Futamigaura (Palm) beach with it's "couple's (wedding) rocks", which are 2 large rocks joined by a Shinto rope featuring scenic sunset views. Around May time each year a ceremony is held when a new rope is hand made at Sakurai Shrine and then carried to the rocks. Many people attend this festival.
