  • Fotis was an incredible host. My sister and I stayed there one night, and were very comfortable. The place is about 1 km away from the metro, and Fotis was very helpful giving us information about sightseeing in Athens. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Athens.

  • Fotis is great! If you get a chance to stay at one of his apartments, do it! I stayed at Lefkados 27 in Kypseli. He met me at the apartment and very generously, he took time to show me how everything worked in the apartment. NOW, thanks to Fotis, I know how to make the magical (ha) Greek frappe with Nescafe! cool and easy! He is such a nice, friendly person, with a great sense of humor! Fotis took the time to walk me to the beautiful nearby park (Pedion Areos) and then showed me how to get to the metro station from there to go to the Plaka (website hidden) is about a ten minute walk through the park and then a small pedestrian street and then only two stops to the Monastiraki stop by metro.
The apartment is small, but has everything you need. If you are staying for some days, he can provide a small "washing machine". It is cool...just a portable container that swishes your clothes clean (you place it in the shower). There is a small clothes line and clips to hang your clothes on the narrow balcony ( look for more clips on the shelf under the stereo). The bedroom is a good size and has tv and double bed, with a desk, stereo and wifi. There is a small fridge and a wardrobe closet. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is a tiny space, but functional. Best for me, there is an elevator! One thing to note is upon your final leaving, Fotis reminded me (I had not thought about it before) to go downstairs first and make sure that the residents have not locked the front door to the building from the INSIDE, because, if you must leave and he cannot meet you upon leaving, you need to leave the keys inside of the apartment. So, if you leave the keys inside the apartment and go down (apartment door is locked), but find the apartment building door is locked from the inside, you will be trapped inside the entryway, basically. HA, good to know..I am learning a lot from renting different apartments with airbnb for sure. Oh, and there is a great coffee shop (or 2) just a block away and also a super market just a few blocks away, very close. Very safe feeling area and nice people!
I also want to say how communicative Fotis was before I even got to Athens, by email. He is wonderful! Thank you Foti!

  • Yes, this is a really good (and little) studio to stay in Athens. Everything you need is here, the studio is close the Archaeological Museum, close a huge park and Metro Victoria. By feet you can reach Monastiraki in 15 min. So, well situated.
But the best is Fotis who is a really great host.
Imagine this : I came during Easter and no shops were open, so Fotis bought me for those 2 days bread, ham and cheese ! And there was 2 red easter eggs in the fridge... He gave me good advices to visit Athens and was flexible for the hour of arrival and departure.
I can say that it is a very good value for money.

  • I stayed a week in Fotis place and I have nothing to complain. The place was cozy and it has absolutely everything you may need. The location it is also good, in the center and close to the metro. But for me one of the best things of the place was the host, super kind and always available whenever I needed something.

    Hope to come back again!

  • Fotis was an excellent host who gave us lots of information about Athens and was kind enough to take us to the bus terminal. The apartment is very well located and close enough to public transport. It was nice to come home to after a long day of sight seeing. Highly recommended.

  • I've had the chance to stay at one of Fotis' apartment in downtown Athens for a few days, and can certainly recommend this apartment and its owner. Although it is a compact apartment, the great location (near Pedion Aerios) makes it a great choice to visit Athens for a single person or a couple. As I was staying during the winter season, a portable heating device was provided. Communication with Fotis was absolutely perfect and his assistance on various matters (sights, sites and bus/train information) was highly appreciated.

  • Fotis is a lovely, careful, communicative, attentive host. I mention super credit for pets allowed! We met on time in front of the apartment building (kypseli-lefkados st.). He showed the flat. Then he showed the market location and bakery in the neigborhood. We walked through a bookfair at a park, and some days later we went to the Athens bicycle festival.

The flat is a small one on third floor. There is an elevator. A bedroom (with a little balcony), a little kitchen and toilette-shower. There is all what you need for basic things. There were sheets for bed, towels, internet (wifi), refrigerator. The kitchen has electric hot-plate, a toaster-oven, counter-top can fit one plate. There was also a stereo (radio, CD, USB) and small flat-screen TV in the bedroom. Clean, simple, functional.

I stayed 1 month. After first week it felt too small. A few days, maybe a week is ok.

About
I rent my properties since many years short term and long terms to tourists and visitors of Athens. I am glad to help and provide friendly accommodation. I personally like to travel around, have visited almost all European countries so far. I am married and we live in Athens, and visit a lot another nice place called Loutraki, 80 km away, where my parents live. I enjoy the smiles that satisfied tenants have after they leave Athens, and am glad when they come back. Feel free to contact me for anything you want to know about Athens, or questions you have on planning your trip, even if you won't stay at my apartment!
