Darby, Montana, United States

Darby is a great small town. It is home to Montana's smallest brewery, antique stores, a world famous hat maker store, the largest candy store in the Northwest, coffee shops, restaurants, and museums and history of Lewis and Clark (they went directly through the town of Darby)!

Kids love it here, too! There is a park in the heart of town. There is also a play ground at the school as well as tennis courts and a skate park.

All seasons are a great time to visit Darby. The world famous Bitterroot River runs right through town and offers the best fly fishing in the country! We know the best fishing guides in town. Let us book your fishing or float trip! For swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking spending the day on the beach Lake Como is 10 miles away and Painted Rocks Reservoir are the place to go! The hunting locations are too numerous to count but let us help you find a hunting guide. In the winter cross country skiing and downhill skiing locations are world class. Lost Trail Powder Mountain is different from all the other ski resorts. It is not crowded and it is affordable. The powder up there is fantastic. They are open Thursday-Sunday. Chief Joseph has miles of cross country trails. After a day on the mountain, stop by Lost Trail Hotsprings for a soak.

My husband and I fell in love with The Bitterroot Valley 5 years ago. At the time, we lived near Seattle. We worked full time and ran a successful business, but we rarely saw each other or our children. Moving to Montana allowed us to reconnect with ourselves and with our family life. This is a rich place to live: there are gorgeous mountains, tons of trees, and abundant wildlife. We want to share this beauty and peace with other people looking for a chance to relax and reconnect. We have discovered a love of hosting during our years as Airbnb hosts. We specialize in properties in the south section of the Bitterroot Valley. If you are considering renting out your home, let's chat. Property Management is our specialty.
