We had a very lovely stay. Rooms were clean and private. Owners were inviting, accommodating, and personable. Great stay in the country only 15 minutes from a great beach. Would certainly stay again and recomend to my friends. Thank you Reg & Marlene!
This place is AWESOME!
I stayed here on a bicycle tour around Lake Huron. After an 170 mile day that was very rainy arriving at this quaint farmhouse was exactly what I needed. Reg had a fire going in the wood-burning stove and made me a cup of tea. As I dried my clothes by the fire the two of us had a great chat. Reg gave me some great information about the area. Later that evening Marlene arrived and she was also very very nice. The next morning I was leaving quite early. Nonetheless Marlene insisted on providing me a wonderful country breakfast and coffee. It fortified me for another long day on the bike. If you are in the area this is the place you want to stay. Do not hesitate just take my work for it.
My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend at Reg & Marlene's Farmhouse. They've done a great job maintaining the authentic feel of their farmhouse, giving a rustic charm that would be hard to replicate elsewhere. Unfortunately Marlene couldn't make it for our stay but Reg was very helpful both before and during our trip. He made every effort to make our visit a memorable one. We got a chance to try some tasty local elk sausage and he gave us directions to several unique spots to visit - a drive-through canopy, private sunsets and a chance to catch a late-night firefly show. We loved hearing stories from Reg, he really knows the area well! We couldn't have asked for a better stay and we hope to meet Marlene the next time we visit!! Thanks Reg for making us feel so welcome. We would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Bruce Peninsula.
We had a quiet and enjoyable stay at the farm. The bed was comfy and of course, Reg was a very considerate host. The location is perfect for sightseeing in the Bruce Peninsula and hiking on the Bruce Trail. Our timing was perfect for seeing the spring wild flowers; trillium, Indian paintbrush, pitcher plant, and so many blossoming trees and shrub.
Our host, Reggie, was very friendly and helpful during our 3-day stay. He gave us a tour both outside and inside the house once we got there. He gave us tips and resources on where to go both near Wiarton area and in Tobermory. All 3 rooms were clean, neat and tidy. I would recommend this place to anyone interested to stay in the Wiarton/Georgian Bluffs area.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I made a last minute booking (3 hours) at the farmhouse while kiteboarding in Sauble Beach. Marlene was very flexible in accommodating me. Marlene went out of her way to prepare a late night snack, tea, and a delicious breakfast the following morning. Reg was an awesome host to hang out with and we had plenty to talk about. We stayed up playing crokinole along with a German couple. Rooms were warm, quiet, and perfect for a solid nights rest. This will be my first choice when staying in the Bruce Peninsula again.
