Our host, Reggie, was very friendly and helpful during our 3-day stay. He gave us a tour both outside and inside the house once we got there. He gave us tips and resources on where to go both near Wiarton area and in Tobermory. All 3 rooms were clean, neat and tidy. I would recommend this place to anyone interested to stay in the Wiarton/Georgian Bluffs area.

I made a last minute booking (3 hours) at the farmhouse while kiteboarding in Sauble Beach. Marlene was very flexible in accommodating me. Marlene went out of her way to prepare a late night snack, tea, and a delicious breakfast the following morning. Reg was an awesome host to hang out with and we had plenty to talk about. We stayed up playing crokinole along with a German couple. Rooms were warm, quiet, and perfect for a solid nights rest. This will be my first choice when staying in the Bruce Peninsula again.
At the final gasp of summer, we paid a return visit to Reg & Marlene's quiet farmhouse. A beautiful time of year to escape the city and our stay with Reg, the countryside, the wildflowers and the Milky Way that was on display - all quite fantastic. We managed to get a number of astrophotographs before the dew attacked at around midnight. We will post the results soon !
Reg & Marlène have been very kind with me, and I really appreciated the old style still present in this old farm. It seems nothing has changed from the time the farm was in activity. I walked around, and I could imagine the people working hard in the fields some times ago. Have a look on the 3 multi-centenary old maple trees on the backyard and appreciate the wonderful colors during the Fall period !
I could cook, the kitchen has everything needed.
It was very quiet, wonderful to take a rest during a hard trip !
I drove about 2 hours to visit the Bruce Peninsula, and there I couldn't resist to make a (short) dive in the wonderful green-blue water, with white stones beaches !
10mn drive from the farm, you can see the nice sunshine, alone on the beach...
It was an absolute joy to have stayed at Reg and Marlene's incredibly unique Heritage Farmhouse. Not only are they hospitable hosts on site, they were extremely responsive in assisting me with the booking, even personally taking the initiative to offer tips on local attractions prior to my arrival. Reg was the main host during my stay and was a delight to be around. He was extremely knowledgeable and considerate, making himself accessible by text to give directions throughout my trip, stocking the fridge with some of his favourite local produce in case we didn't have time to visit all of the local host spots, and making sure the fireplace was going when we returned. Thanks to him, there was never a dull moment at Georgian Bluffs!
The house is located in the back of the country side which makes it remote and very quiet. The house was clean and had everything you need for the stay (linen, towels, kitchen). We were welcomed by Reg who made us feel at home right away. While being a bit far from the Bruce peninsula park, the remote setting is much more relaxing and sleeping with the open windows is refreshing! Close to Wiarton, you can find everything nearby! Reg directed us to a nearby farm where they had fresh eggs, milk, yogurt, bison and lamb meat which makes delicious meals from local products!
Overall it was a nice weekend, very relaxing where the host made us feel like we were at home. Recommended for family, or groups of friends who wants to relax in the beautiful Bruce peninsula!
