Windsor is the jewel in the crown of Prahran (the heart of the vibrant Chapel and Greville Street fashion precinct), nestled between St Kilda and South Yarra. Some of Melbourne's best restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, clubs, vintage and contemporary furniture and fashion can be found in Windsor. A lovely 5-10 minute stroll through the park will bring you to Chapel Street.
Around the Area
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at Yellowbird, a nearby local favourite. Enjoy cheap and cheerful Delicious Mexican at Fonda on Chapel, experience Vietnamese street food at Hanoi Hannah on High St, have a glass of wine and a special dinner at The Woods of Windsor - a fabulous restaurant/bar, or savour some great pub food and a cold beer in the beer garden at the Windsor Castle, a popular local pub. Or catch a movie at The Astor Theatre which shows old classics.
As a local, I have lots of recommendations for places to go, things to do, and how to get around. Please ask!
This apartment is a two minute walk to trams which take you into the city/St Kilda and a 10 minute walk to Windsor train station (4 stops away from the city).
Apart from enjoying the relaxing space, my guests enjoy the location, the views, the peace and the light. Come and stay at Leafy Avenue Views. You'll love it!

This is a comfortable, clean and welcoming flat with great access to the city via trams or train. The flat could easily accommodate a couple which would be less costly (I paid £50GBP a night). It is on the 2nd floor with no-one living above and therefore quiet and serene. The area is safe and leafy.
The kitchen facilities were more than adequate, the bedroom very inviting and the bathroom modern & well-designed. There was a large tv and an allowance of wi-fi.
Jeanne is a kind, calm, charming lady who helped my queries and conveniently doesn't live too far away. I have no trouble in recommending this gem of a place. ☆
This was my first experience with airbnb and thanks to Jeanne it was great! She was really nice and helpful before, during and after my long stay.
The apartment is as shown in the pictures, it's clean and beautiful. It has everything you need to feel at home and it is a perfect location to visit Melbourne. Train station, tram stop, shops and restaurants are very close.
If I will go back to Melbourne (hope so!!) I will definetely stay again at Jeanne's apartment.
Great value for money. Lovely light filled little apartment. Great location, close to Chapel st and Windsor station. Clean, had everything we needed. Wifi was patchy which was our only issue. Lovely stay thanks.
Jeanne's appartment was exactly what we needed after three months of travelling: a nice and comfortable retreat to unwind and feel at home in an instant. It has a good layout, offers a nice view of the city skyline and into the tree-lined street in front of the house. The place is nicely furnished and very clean (apart from the oven, the only little minus). Shopping opportunities are nearby as well as public transport. Though we didn't meet in person, communication with Jeanne was quick and easy. Nothing more to add. : )
Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Apartment is fully equipped with everything you would require. Jeanne is excellent. Organised early and late check out as well as responding to emails within minutes. Very accommodating to all our requests. I definitely recommend.
Hi Jeanne, we were so grateful to have a home away from home. After spending all day in Melbourne city, it was wonderful to return to a relaxing home with all the homely amenities.
While working in Melbourne, it was great to have a home where I could cook, wash cloths or just curl up on the couch and watch TV. So much more relaxing than a hotel room for 9 days.
When I do return to Melbourne for work or holiday, I will hope to stay here again. The parking permit, wifi and early check in that you provided also helped.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Altho we did manage to be here during the hottest Feb. in 115 years apparently. No AC but we had 2 good fans and were able to keep the apt quite manageable with those. We had everything we needed there, a home away from home. Easy walking access to Chaplin St., the Prahran market, St. Kilda, even downtown. And easy to get the trams and trains close by. We met Jeanne when we arrived and she came over again as needed when we had a problem with a fan and the TV (new TV for us right away!). She is lovely and responded immediately to any enquiries. Would recommend her apt.
We stayed for 11 nights in the apartment which we mainly used as a base to visit the Australian Open (6 minutes by train to Richmond station). The apartment was exactly what we were looking for- a place to feel home after a long day out. Public transport is close by - 10 minutes walk to the train and 5 minutes to the tram station (but which takes much longer to the city centre). We didn´t meet Jeanne in person but everything from communication before our stay up to the check-out went smoothly and without any problems.Chapel Street with lots of restaurants is close by. Coles is a bit further away (maybe 15 minutes), but walking there was also not much of a problem. Would stay there again.
Lovely apartment situated close to Chapel Street and the city is easily accessed by tram. Good range of kitchen equipment. Views of the city from the balcony. Good communication with Jeanne at all times. We found the balcony slightly small, but it is exactly as pictured in the gallery so that was simply personal preference. Would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend to others
WE stayed a week in Jeanne's delightful bright and airy apartment. It was easy to find, a short walk to transport and funky Chapel st shops, cafes and Prahan Markets.
Thank you Jeanne for a lovely stay in your apartment, it truly felt like a home away from home.
