Interaction with Guests

Whenever you stay at our place we will try to give you the key personally and show you around. If we are not able to make it, we will send a very good friend of ours, which lives just around the corner. We are reacheable alt any time by phone.

The Neighborhood

We live in a real upcoming neihgbourhood (the De Qlerkstraat), with a lot of new little boutiques, shops and restaurants. Also two big supermarkets and a deli next door, they sell everything you need. Within a five-minute walk we have a market (Ten Kate markt), which is near a shoppingstreet as well (kinkerstraat). Toward the city you will pass Bilderdijkstraat which is a nice shoppingstreet as well. The whole area is growing fast in a very positive way.

Getting around

In the street back from our house there are several tramlines (phone number hidden)) which will take you everywhere in town!
There is a parking place in front of the house, but its paid parking and often a bit crowded. We recommend you to come by train en get around the city by bike or by tram.
From the airport Schiphol, it is best to take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. After this, take tram 13 and stop at Willem de Zwijgerlaan.

  • My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Tom and Anne’s apartment. They were extremely informative and generous leaving a bottle of wine as a cute welcome gift. The apartment is spacious with all the necessities. Beautiful quiet local area with great transportation links into the heart of Amsterdam.

  • Tom and Annemarije's appartment is great! The appartment has all the requirements for a nice peacefull stay. Tom's introduction and explanation was good and arranging the logistics was perfect. The appartment is in a very nice neighbourhood and there's plenty of things to enjoy just at walking distance.

  • Tom and Annemarije's apartment is really delicious and very light; from the window of the living room you can enjoy a beatiful view. The apartment is located in very quiet neighborhood just minutes from the vibrant city center of Amsterdam. The hosts were really nice to us, they left us a bottle of wine :)). Me and my boyfriend stayed there a week ago and we would go back even now.
    Thanks Tom and Annemarije

The house has an artistic signature that makes it very interesting and romantic, it is spacious, bright, and it almost feels like home! • Tom and Annemarije has such a beautiful home. It's very spacious and very close to the tram. They were very communicative and left us great suggestions about where to go in Amsterdam. The apartment is on a quite street (a little dimly-lit). We only stayed a night, but it felt like home. My husband loved the decor. It definitely had a cool feel to the apartment. Thank you again for sharing your home!

  • Annemarije and Tom's house is a perfect solution where to stay for an holiday in Amsterdam ! It's close to the city centre (10-15 minutes by tram) - I warmly recommend to rent a bike to enjoy even more the holida - and in a quite neighbourhood, Supermarkets, restaurants and pubs are really close by, so you can find everything you need during your stay. The house is big with two big bedrooms, a living room with couches, tv and computer, a nice and furnished kitchen as well as the bathroom. Tom and Annemarje were so kind to leave us some indications where to go and what to see and where to eat, together with the breakfast and beers in the fridge. They stressed to contact them whenever we could have any problems.

  • The apartment is highly recommended, it's quite big and filled with light. Perfectly clean and really cozy. Somehow it actually feels like home and we didn't want to leave. It took us less than 1/2 hour to get to from the airport, so it's well located as well.
We also got a recommendation list as well as some tasty treats, the hosts hospitality is superb as well as the communication skills. Just the nicest people - pleasure to do business with!
    Thanks so much,
    Anna & Ran :)

  • Tom and Annemarijes apartment was perfect for our long weekend in Amsterdam. It is even more lovely, light and spacious than in the pictures, and even though it snowed for most of our stay we felt cosy and at home in their great little place.

It is really well connected to the city, especially by bike; although you don't really need to go far to find excellent bars and restaurants and all necessary amenities.
    Highly recommended!

  • Tom & Annemarije's apartment was a great place to stay in Amsterdam -- it's very spacious, clean, and is closely situated to the grocery store, other amenities and to the tram which is just steps away to take you further into the city. It's a beautiful area that's quiet and closely connected to a great vacation experience. I would happily stay at Tom & Annemarije's apartment again.

About
Hey there! I am a 26 years old woman, living in one of the most epic town of the world: Amsterdam. Eight years ago i came here to study medicine. Right now I am in my last year of internships. After that I will probably specialize in tropical health. In between college years I did some travel breaks; 6 months in South America and 3 in Indonesia. I love travelling around the world and meeting new people. That's probably one thing I couldn't live without: travelling! But also reading books, visiting musea and going to the cinema. We have this beautiful cinema art house dating from 1900, and I go there every week.. Other things I can't live without is good food, good friends and family ;-) Airbnb has been an truly wonderfull experience to me so far. We have had guests 4 times now, and everytime it is a big succes!. people are so nice and kind. It's fun to meet people this way. We didnt use Airbnb yet ourselves, but we defintely plan to. To me, iot seems like a perfect way to get out of town and get the true spirit of a local in Berlin, Lonodn or where so ever. Me and my boyfriend have a real "open house"; a lot of friends are part of the furniture. We are used to being hospitable. Airbnb seems the perfect way to help other people having a nice holiday, hoping that we will have too whenever we use someone else 's home! XX Annemarije
