No smoking inside of house
Love love love this little cottage at the beach. My husband and I booked a last minute vacation in Hawaii. After a few days in Waikiki we were looking for something a little more quiet and this was the perfect place. The cottage is very cute, well stocked, and has fast wifi. It has comfy beds and comfy couches. We enjoyed using the grill and cooking meals. We only met Rob and he was very nice and accommodating, helping us navigate the paddle boards. Definitely bring water socks as there is quite a bit of reef. But if you forget no worries as they have a whole assortment of sizes, as well as snorkel sets, body boards, paddle boards, and a canoe.
The neighborhood is pretty low key so don't expect all the excitement and frills of Waikiki. We used Ewa beach as our jumping off point to explore the North Shore and attend the Volcom Pipe Pro Competition at Bonzai Pipeljne.
All in all, couldn't have been any happier with our stay.
Hospitality was first class. We were welcomed on arrival and felt like guests in the home of friends. The cottage was very well appointed in every way. The beds were comfy and the ocean surf sounds wonderful. We were completely content here.
Wow! The cottage is really as close to the ocean as it looks in the pictures, and the beach is beautiful all day long.
The cottage is easy to find, far enough away from the craziness of Waikiki, but, close enough to get to all the action easily, and we had a great view of the fireworks in Waikiki on New Year's Eve! The cottage is so well stocked with everything you could need from sun cream, coffee to earplugs in case the ocean is too loud at night (though apologies to Cheryl and Rob, our youngest took a bit of a liking to the pot of "funny coloured things!"... We found a stash in her bag back home!)
The owners are very close by, and very helpful but not at all intrusive. Wish we lived closer to come back soon :-)
Thank you for your kindness. We had a great time and do hope to stay again.
Description was spot on. It was really clean and we felt right at home. The beach is a couple of steps away from the lanai and beautiful sounds of the ocean filled the house. The bedrooms were very comfy and they supplied toiletries, towels and board games. We utilized the kitchen, fridge and BBQ. Cheryl, Rob and their dog Daisy were extremely hospitable. They checked in with us, bought us bait and helped us fish right off our lanai. The location is a local neighborhood (a nice escape from waikiki). My family and I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to our friends. Overall an excellent experience:)
The listing was accurate and met our needs for a quiet get away on the beach, at a reasonable price. Rob was very accommodating and stayed up late to greet us at 11:30 pm on our arrival day. The beach is right out your doorstep, and Ewa is on the sunny, dry side of the island! Paddle boards, kayaks and beach equipment is furnished. Although not luxerious, it meet our needs for a weeks stay for two couples.
What a perfect way to begin our stay on Oahu. We arrived just in time to watch a glorious sunset from the lanai, and we woke up each morning to the sound of beautiful, soothing waves that gently crashed just a few steps from the cottage. We are certain you will not find any other accommodation closer to the beach than this sweet little cottage (unless you pitch a tent ON the beach itself). We were greeted by Rob and Daisy (their adorable, friendly dog), who is as friendly and generous as they come. An array of towels, snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, and kayaks were at our disposal, and Rob encouraged us to use it all and gave some great tips. The bed (we only used one of the 2) was very comfortable, and the cottage was impeccably clean. Thank you, Rob & Cheryl, for everything! Great stay :)
