From the host

The Ridgewood Farm Guesthouse is perfectly located 3 miles from Harding University and town, yet is completely secluded. Many wildlife make this their home including deer, hawks, large Pileated Woodpeckers, Great Horned owls, quail, a variety of small birds, armadillos and more. A lovely cypress encircled pond sits next to the house, and is filled with bass and brim. A black cat called Wednesday lives in the main house along with four dogs - a large-eared small brown dog called Mimi, a Beagle named Juno, a Chiweenie named Ellie, and Yeti, a large, white Great Pyrenees that is supposed to protect the chickens, ducks, cows and goats. There is also a lot of maniacal squirrel chasing. Other dogs visit regularly for daycare or dog sitting. We have 50+ chickens, 12 ducks, 5 goats and several Dexter cows. The farmhouse and land have a wonderful energy, whether you seek rest, relaxation and rejuvenation or solitude and privacy. There is a stocked art studio that you are welcome to use attached to the green barn. If you would like company and meaningful conversation, you are welcome to visit with us in the main house for meals, gathering around the fire (indoor and out) and cooking on the grill. There is a grill you can use between the main house and the farmhouse and, and a hibachi type grill on the back patio of the main house you can use.
