The Space

The studio is located in the very heart of the Latin Quarter. It cannot get any better, right beside the churches of Saint Germain des Prés and Saint Sulpice, in one of the most lively and fashionable areas of Paris, with many shops...
The neighborhood is very busy... but the studio very quiet !

• Exact location : Odéon - Quartier Latin (St Germain des Prés)

18m2 (194 square feet) renovated in february 2013.
Sixth floor walk up accessible through a service entrance WITHOUT ELEVATOR . So, it might not be suitable for people with mobility issues and young children.
It's really not a big deal if you don't have heavy bags.
If you have a heavy bag, I really don't mind carrying it up for you.

- basin
- Corner shower with sliding door separating the room (tiled shower with hot water).

The studio is fully equipped. You can prepare all your meals in the studio :

- kettle for tea
- coffee machine with coffee,
- toaster
- plates,
- cutlery,
- cupboards
- cleaning products,

*******************************************************************Here is a F.A.Q About the apartment, hope it helps you have a better idea about your future experience with us ;)

1.What is the rental process?
Just select your dates, number of people, and go through with the booking,

2. What would the total be for renting your place between certain dates?
I am not sure, as it depends on what you select when you go through the booking (the price should be indicated once you have selected dates and number of people etc on the booking page for the apartment). (cf. #1).

3. Would there be a deposit? If so how much would it be?
Yes there is. You pay it to AirBnB, and they give it back to you 2 days after you are out of the apartment if everything goes normally. I have never had a problem before, and all of my guests have collected their deposit back. The deposit is 300€.

4. Would it accommodate two people?
Definitely. Two people would be most comfortable in the apartment :). There is one large Queen size bed in the bedroom, and one extra folding bed.

5. Do you have Internet access?
Yes. There is both LAN and Wireless Access. It is very fast.

6. Is this a secure building?
It is a very safe building. First of all it is a very safe neighborhood. The street door and inside door require a code to get in.

7. What time do we have to check in and check out?
Whenever you want, I am very flexible and always looking to accomodate my guests to the best of my ability. The only restriction to this, is if guests before/after you have arrive at the normal hour... then you have to leave at "your" normal check-out hour so that the cleaning staff can do their job.

8. Are you close to public transportation?
Very close! You have the metro station « ODEON » less than 2mn away walking and the train from Roissy CDG and Orly is also 10 minutes away.

9. Is there grocery shopping/ cafés near your place?
There is everything you can dream of nearby. There are heaps of cafés and restaurants nearby, including my personal favorite for morning coffees and afternoon teas: "Paul", just down the street from the apartment,

10. Is there anything we should know about your place?
It's very comfy, very well designed, equipped with state-of-the-art
everything, as well as actual Art ;). In short, it is the perfect base-camp for a wonderful Paris experience!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon !

See you soon !

  • Excellent location! Clean apartment! Jeff was the perfect host. The 114 steps to get up to the apartment were exhausting, but we would absolutely do it all over to be able to stay in this great location and this great apartment.

    July 2014
  • We didn't get to meet Jeff, but his assistant was helpful. The space was small (probably servants quarters for the large house next door) for 3 people (one slept on an air mattress in the kitchen). The bathroom has no light of its own so bring a flashlight for late night trips. Be prepared: 6 flights of stairs to the top (145 steps). The bed was good, the kitchen area more than adequate.

  • The location of the apartment is great, especially if you are a young couple, or bachelors wanting great access to the hang out spots. For us as a family, it was fairly easy to get to Du Louvre, Notre Dame and all the surrounding touristy spots, as well as a very easy connection to the Metro. I do not recommend bringing lots of bags, especially big ones (say, check in sized) as the 6 flight of stairs are quite narrow and difficult to climb. While we did have assistance from Jeff's assistant Zoey during our arrival, we couldn't expect help during our departure. Not to mention climbing up late each night of the stay, after all the touring around, when you maybe tired. We felt the apartment was too cramped for us with our three bags, and though a second bed for the 3rd guest is advertised, it is really not that practical to put it out as there won't be any room to walk. We were a bit disappointed with the general cleanliness of the apartment and it left a lot to be desired. The bed is tucked under a skyroof and we were bothered by the dust in the corners against the wall, as well as the general condition of the apartment. So overall, we would recommend this place for its location, especially if you are a party owl...but perhaps not for families.

  • Studio was as expected and as described here and in the reviews. The neighborhood is amazing. Jeff was very communicative and gave us a brief tour when we arrived.

    June 2014
  • Excellently located studio in the heart of Saint Germain des Pres in Paris. Has everything you need and even more. Jeff's nephew received us very friendly and even helped us with the luggage through the 6 floors. Would definitely repeat next time.

  • Paris is great but we were really disappointed with the apartment.
Yes, the location is amazing. And we knew it would be small and have lots of stairs. But the whole studio was just a bit worn and old and tatty, and, worst of all, dirty. It really didn't look like it had been properly cleaned for a long time, and even smelt of urine all weekend which really wasn't nice at all. I thought the smell may be from outside but shutting the window made no difference. We never saw Jeff all weekend so can't comment on how he was as a host. His assistant met us but we had no other information other than what was in the studio.
So yes, location brilliant, and it is a lot cheaper than other apartments, but I wouldn't stay here again.

  • Jeff was an amazing and welcoming host! When we first arrived at the studio, he oriented us to the neighborhood and city. The studio is in the center of the city, which made sightseeing very easy. We walked to many of the big monuments. The studio is also located to many metro stations. It is very clean and has all the basic needs - WiFi, converter, wine opener, and clean sheets and towels. The studio is located on the 6th floor with no lift, which was only difficult after a long day on your feet. Otherwise, the stairs was no problem. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to paris. Highly recommended.

  • My husband and I rented the St. Germain studio for 8 days, and we found it adequate. We never met Jeff, but were let in by his cleaning person who was helpful enough. Overall, I would recommend it with a few caveats.

Pros: GREAT location, many things were in walking distance (restaurants and bars, shopping, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Musee D'Orsay, etc). Very reasonable price compared to a hotel room in the same area. The bed was comfortable enough and had a nice window to look out, and the kitchen was very convenient. The studio makes great use of a small space!

Cons: It's a sixth floor walk up accessible only through a service entrance, so anyone with young children or who is older may not want to rent this space (and remember, floor numbers in france start at 0!). The studio itself could get very humid and stuffy (it was a rainy week), which was a bit uncomfortable, but that could be alleviated by opening the windows and turning on the fan; probably wouldn't be a great place to stay in the summer.

If you're looking for an affordable place in a fabulous location, this is it. It's not luxurious or fancy, but it was a good value for the money.

  • Enjoyed our stay here. Was a bit of a struggle getting up the 115 steps to the room with luggage but otherwise ok. Apartment was relatively clean however shower didn't appear to have been cleaned when we arrived and not had bins been emptied.
Wasn't met by Jeff but by someone else. Not really an issue but would have been good to know who may have met us other than Jeff. However, she was very helpful.

  • 먼저 주인장이 너무 친절해서 마음이 편안했고, 아파트 위치가 정말 좋았습니다. 단 6층이라 오르내리기 불편했던 것 빼면 모든 게 다 만족스러웠습니다^^
