Here is a F.A.Q About the apartment, hope it helps you have a better idea about your future experience with us ;)
1.What is the rental process?
Just select your dates, number of people, and go through with the booking,
2. What would the total be for renting your place between certain dates?
I am not sure, as it depends on what you select when you go through the booking (the price should be indicated once you have selected dates and number of people etc on the booking page for the apartment). (cf. #1).
3. Would there be a deposit? If so how much would it be?
Yes there is. You pay it to AirBnB, and they give it back to you 2 days after you are out of the apartment if everything goes normally. I have never had a problem before, and all of my guests have collected their deposit back. The deposit is 300€.
4. Would it accommodate two people?
Definitely. Two people would be most comfortable in the apartment :). There is one large Queen size bed in the bedroom, and one extra folding bed.
5. Do you have Internet access?
Yes. There is both LAN and Wireless Access. It is very fast.
6. Is this a secure building?
It is a very safe building. First of all it is a very safe neighborhood. The street door and inside door require a code to get in.
7. What time do we have to check in and check out?
Whenever you want, I am very flexible and always looking to accomodate my guests to the best of my ability. The only restriction to this, is if guests before/after you have arrive at the normal hour... then you have to leave at "your" normal check-out hour so that the cleaning staff can do their job.
8. Are you close to public transportation?
Very close! You have the metro station « ODEON » less than 2mn away walking and the train from Roissy CDG and Orly is also 10 minutes away.
9. Is there grocery shopping/ cafés near your place?
There is everything you can dream of nearby. There are heaps of cafés and restaurants nearby, including my personal favorite for morning coffees and afternoon teas: "Paul", just down the street from the apartment,
10. Is there anything we should know about your place?
It's very comfy, very well designed, equipped with state-of-the-art
everything, as well as actual Art ;). In short, it is the perfect base-camp for a wonderful Paris experience!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon !
See you soon !
In the neighborhood : Luxembourg Garden, Church St Sulpice (ref Da Vinci Code!), St Germain des prés, Latin Quarter, Louvre Museum and lot of nice and gourmet restaurants, parisian cafés etc...
Nous accueillons des hôtes cool, agréable souriant et sans histoires !
Brilliant location, excellent host, well equipped and finished. Six long flights of stairs kept us fit after over indulging on local cuisine! Fine for a weekend stay, but have to say the 'no paper' bathroom in a small space was a bit of a turn-off!
Jeff was a great host. He meet us at the apartment and pointed out all the local amenities and places to see near us and also where to grab the best baguette or crepe. He then showed us up the 6 flights of stairs, carrying my girlfriend's bag as the true gentleman he is, to our home for the next few days.
The studio is as described in the listing with it being in a fantastic location and is a good size for two people especially as you tend not to spend much time there as, hopefully, you are out discovering this wonderful city. It does have everything you need and I am sure if there was anything missing or a problem Jeff would fix it as soon as possible.
I would recommend for singles or couples who want a wonderfully located base with all the home essentials you need to have a great stay in Paris. Although it definitely is for the fit only as climbing the 6 flights of stairs to the studio can take it out of you.
Listing is accurate and Jeff did a great job of accommodating me for a last minute booking. The WiFi was full speed and worked wonderfully and it was a great perk to have international phone calls included. He also gave great tips about the area (restaurants, local tips, the best places to go, transportation, etc.) to make my stay, both inside and outside the apartment great.
very friendly host who has tons of information on the neighbourhood's "secret" places. he made us immediately feel at home in the neighbourhood and apartment. the neighbourhood is fantastic, and you're close to almost everything to visit.
Jeff's apartment was perfectly located in Paris and we were able to walk to most of the main sites. The Odeon metro station was just a few steps away from the front door, which made getting to the other sites that were further away very easy. The apartment looks just like it does in the pictures and is the perfect size for two people. It was also very clean with a comfortable bed, and the shower worked well. Just make sure you are able to walk up the six flights of stairs to get to the apartment.
Jeff was a wonderful host. He responded to the reservation request very quickly and also provided maps and all the information possible. He also offered a ride from the bus station to the studio just to make us feel safe in the city. Trhough the ride he was showing and explaining important places in the city center and in the neighbourhood as well. The location of the studio is perfect:a lot of bars and restaurants, cafes and bakeries and all the important places are on walking distance. The metrostation is 50 m away so everything is well connected. The studio was well equipped and it had everything we needed for a 3-day visit. The shower and the toilet are bit tight but we didn`t stayed in the room that long so it worked fine. We had only one small remark for the general cleaness of the room but all in all it was fine. After the second day we even got used to the stairs (we didn`t count them :))
I cannot recommend this place enough, it's right in the heart of what I now consider to be the best part of Paris. Within walking distance of everything, plus a tonne of great cafes, restaurants, markets, bars and other excellent places to watch/soak up Parisian life right on your doorstep. Jeff is a great host, and the accommodation is small but perfectly formed! Don't let the stairs put you off (112 of them) you'll need them to work off some of the irresistible culinary charms of the area. Can't wait to go back, top marks!!
