The listing description was so accurate! A great room in a great location! Opportunities to eat locally and local nightlife were close, yet it was just a ten minutes walk from the train station! What a wonderful stay, and our hosts were absolutely amazing!
We had a good experience at Federica's house. She is very nice and helpful. She provided us a list of places to see and good restaurants to try in venice. Her place is very nice, clean and well decorated. You have l a nice view from the bedroom.
Thank you Federica!
Federica & Nicolas were very gracious hosts. The room is exactly what we expected and it was in a great location.
After crying in the foetal position at the price of accomodation in venice we decided to give air bnb a go and were lucky enough to be accepted by this lovely young to middle aged couple. Their 2 bedroom apartment is located in dorsodoru around a 10 minute walk from the train station and maybe 40 minute walk to St marks square (piazza San marco). Dorsodoru is one of the rare untouched areas of venice tourist wise, having recently been recognised on tripadvisor whre it currently holds he position of 18/344 things to do. Having a high university student population means it is a great place to stay with budget eating and drinking options in an otherwise expensive City. The walk to the tourist area despite being far is not unscenic and that is half the fun of venice. It also made getting to the station with heavy bags a breeze.
The room itself is a clean basic bedroom as described. It doesn't share a wall with the main bedroom and you very much feel like you are in your own space which is refreshing. We didn't use the kitchen or laundry as we didn't stay 3 nights or more but there was plenty of delicious street food available. The bathroom was clean. Federica and Nicholas were friendly - we were so busy seeing venice we didn't spend s lot of time with them but they didn't impose or encroach on our space which was refreshing.
Overall I have no complaints and would recommend it to others. It's a lovely corner of venice to base yourself and the hosts are very welcoming.
Nicolas nous a accueilli très gentiment (et en francais!) Federica et Nicolas nous ont laissé beaucoup d'intimité pendant notre séjour. L'appartement est superbe et conforme à la description. Le quartier est à la fois central et agréable.
Federica and Nicolas were friendly and accommodating hosts. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has an amazing view into the canals and over the roofs of neighbouring buildings. The room is spacious with ample storage areas. Everything was clean, neat, and orderly.
The apartment is also well located and within 30 minutes walking distance to most of the major attractions in Venice and less than 10 minutes away from Venice S.L station.
Do note that this apartment is located on the fourth floor of the building and there is no lift to facilitate the movement of heavy bags.
Overall, we were very happy with the accommodation and will recommend it to anyone keen to explore Venice.
My girlfriend and I stayed with Nicolas & Federica for 2 nights while we were vacationing in Italy. They were wonderful hosts who did everything they could to make us feel at home during our stay, and their apartment is beautiful and cozy. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about going to Venice!
