The Architect's Spacious Loft 2

Apartment - Private room · Godthåbsvej, Frederiksberg, Capital Region of Denmark 2000, Denmark

The Space

Top floor with lots of light. Very beautiful and serene, original details and Danish design furniture.
You get a bedroom and a study, together they are 39 m2/420 ft2 in a 200m2/2150ft2 large apartment.

This house is in the back yard, and very quiet. Super friendly neighbourhood, cafés, speciality shops and a both a large park + zoo and a smaller botanical garden. There's an indoor pool across the street with a gym and spa.
The owner of Noma (World's best restaurant) has a very affordable deli just down the street. Look up "Claus Meyer". Also enjoy one of the best coffee in town at The Coffee Collective Roastery & Coffee Shop.

When you book I'll email you a custom-made guide to my favorite things in Copenhagen.

There's a bus just outside the door, or walk 10 minutes to the metro. Although everything is easiest by bike in Copenhagen.

Large new kitchen + bathroom shared with 1 permanent resident.
The apartment is large, and you don't hear the other person staying here, as the rooms are at each end of the apartment. Also, there's a lock on the door to the room.

Suitable for 2 people. The bed is 140 cm wide. Fast wireless internet, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.

I'll be happy to custom make a guide to meet your interests in Copenhagen.

  • Had a fantastic time at Frederikke's place. Very stylish, clean and cosy and she was a very friendly host. It is also in a very convenient location, would definitely recommend!!

  • We had a great stay at Frederikke's. The room (the whole flat, really) is bright and airy. Heating and hot water were perfect. The potted flower plant, Dutch waffle cookies and teas she provided in our room were a nice touch. We appreciate the fact that we could cook our own meals. The neighbourhood is great in that it's connected by a frequent bus that will take you 'downtown' or to the nearest metro station.

Frederikke was really helpful in giving clear directions and with recommending things to do and where to eat in Copenhagen.

One thing, though, the listing shows that you have access to the office space. Yes we did, but when we were there the desk area was filled with boxes so we were not able to use it. It wasn't essential to us so we didn't raise it to Frederikke, but do bear in mind that you may only have the room for your private use.

    Response from Frederikke:

    Dear Kristin

It was a pleasure to host you. Yes, there a some moving boxes in the office for 2 weeks before they are picked up later this month - I wish you would have mentioned it if it bothered you, but you didn't seem to be needing the extra desk?

    All best

  • What a wonderful stay we had at Frederikka's beautiful apartment. She couldn't have been more helpful in her communication beforehand and her advise on places to go in and around the city. From start to finish the planning was easy and Frederikka couldn't have been more flexible about our arrival and departure.

As for the apartment it is exactly as photographed and described; bright, stylish, clean, quiet and comfortable. It's a perfect base from which to explore; exceptionally well located for walking or taking buses and metros.

It was an added pleasure to meet Frederikka's lovely housemate Helena (sorry if I've misspelt your name), who was exceptionally friendly and kind, even sharing her freshly baked bread with us on Saturday morning. There's no better way to wake up than from the smell of fresh bread cooking in the oven!

Thank you Frederikka! Perhaps we'll be able to return the gesture and host you in London one day.

  • It was great to stay 2 weeks in the nice apartment and perfect, clean room. Frederikke was really a great host with tips about the neighbourhood, and helping out on any question. The room was excellent and in a nice cozy Danish style.

  • I lived 4 months at Frederikke's place and had the most amazing time! Nothing that I write here will be enough to say how much I enjoyed my time at her place! I can highly recommend this location to everyone, who wants to live in an amazing very tasteful and lovely decorated and furnished room with a very comfortable bed and enough space to feel welcome from the first minute! Frederikke is a lovely and admirable person that is very understanding and helpful at all times. We had some great conversations and dinners;-) and she was so sweet to me all the time! As I had to work a lot for a long time we did not see each other that often and sometimes, when she knew I had a hard day I found some nice cereal bars or other little homemade sweets for me on a table with a nice note at the side=)! moreover she was very welcoming to my friends and always understanding.
The bathroom and kitchen are in great condition and you have access to a washing machine in the kitchen, which is a big plus in Copenhagen=)! The area Frederiksberg and especially the Street Godthaabsvej and Falkoner Alle have everything you need, from shoe maker, dry cleaner, Meyer Deli, supermarkets, Spas and doctors etc. Moreover the bus is right in front of the door.
I want to thank Frederikke again for this amazing time and for all her help! I will never forget this great time!<3
    Lots of love

  • Frederikke is a great host: friendly, helpful, and unobtrusive. The flat is well situated (KBH can be a bit daunting to navigate for first time visitors); it was our ideal to come home to at the end of a long day exploring.

When we're next in KBH, we'll be sure to see if there's availability in the loft!

  • Frederikke's loft was perfect! We had a great weekend in Copenhagen because of that. The room is really beautiful, spacious and stylish. We walked to the centre everyday, but there are close by bus and metro if wanted. Frederikke welcomed us warmly and gave a lot of nice tips on where to go for dinner/lunch. I can recommend to follow her advice, and I recommend this room for everyone who wants a great stay in Copenhagen!

  • The guest room of Frederikke's apartment is big, clean, light, accommodated with delicate taste and vintage gems. Coffee Collective & Meyers Deli are just around the corner for amazing coffee and yummy breakfast. Hop on a bus and within 5 minutes you will be downtown, Vesterbro or Norrebro. We did not meet Frederikke but we discussed details of our stay by email in a warm and smooth way. Very nice host & place!

  • Frederikke is a wonderful host, and I can't recommend her loft highly enough. The flat is well located, within easy reach of transit, and walking distance to first-rate coffee, food, and all the necessities. It's a restful space: a very tastefully renovated and modernized top floor of an old industrial building. Well equipped kitchen, so you can prepare good meals, and (in case you have work to do while you're in town), the bedroom opens out onto a simple and elegant workspace.
Frederikke makes it incredibly easy to feel at home, by providing maps, tons of detailed advice on how to navigate and enjoy all things Copenhagen.. and (critically important).. very good tea.

I mainly work with sustainable design, and do exhibitions, tv, give lectures and I write. Please take a look at my website to get more information. It's (website hidden) I travel a lot - both with my work, to visit friends and just to discover new places, cultures and people. I get around in Europe on a monthly basis, and have been in North America and Asia. The next place I'd like to explore is Argentina. Let me know if you have any good advice. My great passion is yoga, and I'm currently doing an Anusara yoga teacher training. Feel free to borrow the yoga mats at my home. I speak Danish, English, Swedish and quite a lot German.
