Karen and Eric greeted us in the driveway and were friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful about things to do in the area, and following their suggestions worked out well. It wasn't long before we felt like we were visiting friends. Their dog, Dylan, and cat, Horace, are a bonus.
Their stone farmhouse is very charming, and the back patio is a delightful place to sit. The house is on a quiet road and we mostly heard birds during the day and frogs at night. Karen did say that during summer evenings they can get noise from a nearby campground. However, for us it was wonderfully peaceful. It is an easy drive to the sights of the Dordogne.

As an experienced BnB traveler, I can wholeheartedly recommend Karen and Erik Michel. They are the consummate hosts - a truly welcoming couple. They are helpful and friendly. Rooms clean, &well-apointed. They have an organized folder for local sights to see, and even picked up grocery items so we could spend more time on going to castles, caves and gardens. Top-notch experience.
A very friendly welcome Karen and Eric were very hospitable hosts. A picturesque rural setting with forest behind; very quiet, sunny rustic courtyard. A very comfortable bed and very tasty and ample home baked breakfast.
Our stay with Karen and Erik was fantastic. They were gracious hosts and have a beautiful home with views of the valley below. Their lovely patio was the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening and the pool was a great place for my husband to have a bit of a swim. Karen offered helpful advice on activities and attractions in the Dordogne region. We had a beautifully presented breakfast each morning and of course Dylan (their endearing spaniel) was always there to welcome us as well!
My family and I had a wonderful experience staying with Karen and Erik. The place was very lovely, comfortable, well-located, and unique. We felt very welcome. The breakfasts were very enjoyable.
One of the great advantages we had from staying here were the tips Karen provided us on what to see and where to drive. After breakfast she pulled out a couple of maps, showed us around, and answered our questions. This truly was a great help.
My family thoroughly enjoyed talking with Karen and Erik. They are fascinating people, and everyone would have enjoyed being able to spend more time with them.
Thanks for your hospitality.
