The stay here was very relaxing. Kristin was responsive and made sure I knew everything about the place. I arrived late, and fell in love with the area. It is very remote and quiet, with cooler temperatures due to the altitude. I haven't had such a good night's sleep in some time. I'll definitely be back!
The house is super good. Exactly as the picture showed, even better. The location is great. We went to see the glow of crater at night, which is just a short drive away. Kris prepared almost everything for us and gave a lot of advises. Will come back next time in Hilo. Strongly recommend.
The house is so nice. Super beautiful, super large, and super clean. I strongly recommended others to choose it. So nice! We have very nice two days there.
We loved the house! We arrived early and met Kristin who instantly welcomed us and let us drop off our bags. She shared some ideas on where to eat in Volcano. She was very accommodating when we added an additional person at the last minute.
Kristin included a lovely gift basket with coffee, treats and water which we used on our hike in the National Park. She was a wonderful hostess. The house was well-maintained and clean.
The place was a perfect configuration for our party of 3 adults and 2 kids. Everyone was very comfortable and the kids loved enjoying a movie on the comfy couches. The outdoor space was perfect to relax and enjoy the cool evening.
We loved it and would definitely come back on our next trip!
Nice, comfortable, cozy house! Only 10-15 min away from Volcanoes National Park in a quiet setting. The house worked great for our family of four, and Kris's welcome basket was a special touch. Booking, directions, and communication were all top-notch and easy.
Lovely relaxing night at the Halias Hideaway which lives up to its name - very quiet and peaceful. Clean and spacious property, just what we wanted.
Encore merci !
About the Host, Kristin
I am a local country girl that enjoys a good laugh! I enjoy spending quality time with my horses here at the ranch. My passion for horses started at the age of 5, when my dad put me on my first horse. It was love at first sight & it has been an awesome journey..
I moved to Arizona for 3 years to pursue my riding career. I was fortunate to meet some awesome people that changed my life forever. I was able to bring that knowledge back home with me, along with a ton of life experiences!!
I love meeting new people & listening to their stories. That is why I decided to open Halias Hideaway (named after my grandma Halia)..
