Creekside House is a charming 1932 bungalow situated on Callicoon Creek in the quaint town of Jeffersonville, NY. A short walk to the local supermarket, bakery, restaurants, and antique stores. Large backyard with fire pit, grill and hammock. The house features a large front porch, 3 bedrooms, a sitting room with a desk, 1 bath and an eat-in kitchen. Easy drive to surrounding areas and towns including the Delaware River, Bethel Woods, Villa Roma, and popular Catskill fly fishing spots.

The space
Creekside House located on Main Street is the perfect spot for those who want the ease and convenience of living in a small town. The backyard is a gem of a spot for those quiet afternoons in the hammock, wading in the creek, and for family BBQ fun. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the firepit listening to the soothing sounds of the creek. The front porch is definitely the spot to be when the Main Street Tractor Parade and the Holiday Parade go by!

Creekside House is a recently renovated 1,014 square foot vintage house with attention to every detail. The woodwork and hardwood floors throughout have been restored to their original character. The new lighting fixtures and appliances give the house a clean, modern feel. Creekside is as quaint as it is comfortable, decorated with antiques, mid-century furniture, and original artwork by local artists.

Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one with a single bed and the other with an antique brass double bed. The Sitting Room overlooking the creek is a quiet space to work at the desk, read a book, or take a well-deserved nap in the cozy chair.

The Master Bedroom located on the first floor is furnished with an antique oak double bed and matching dresser. The Living Room has a Smart TV with plenty of seating to socialize and play games.

The newly renovated kitchen eat-in kitchen is the heart of the house with a big farm table perfect for family meals. The kitchen features new cabinets, appliances, small appliances, cookware, and dinnerware. There is a separate pantry stocked with additional cooking supplies.

The bathroom’s Jacuzzi tub is so relaxing after a long day out.

For your convenience, there are a washer and dryer located in the basement.

Guest access
Guest have access to entire house and yard.

Other things to note
We clean and sanitize the house according to Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol.

Children of all ages are welcome but Creekside House is not “baby proofed” as it has a steep staircase, tables with sharp corners, and such. As the house is furnished with antiques we ask that that child not jump on the beds and engage in rough play.

To ensure you get settled in and have a great start to your stay with us, we have provided initial household supplies and toiletries but these may not be enough for your entire stay and you may need to purchase additional items.

You are welcome to use the firepit located along the creek. Fires in the fire pit cannot be left unattended and must be fully extinguished. Do not dump the ashes or charred wood on the ground. Please use the provided metal bin. There is firewood to get you started in the shed off the back porch. You can buy more wood at the North Branch Trading Post located at 13 Trading Post Rd in North Branch or at Weissman Farm located at 1453 Gulf Rd in Roscoe.

A 32" Smart TV is located in the living room. Netflix, Hulu, and many other apps have been pre-loaded so you can sign in to your own accounts to stream content.

Vintage houses like our place don’t come with central air, though we do have three window air conditioners (installed for use June-August) and multiple windows and floor fans. Evenings in the Catskill Mountains typically cool down to 65 degrees or lower. It will be comfortable unless the area experiences unusually high temperatures.

We are in a small village country setting, along a creek so please expect to see bugs and critters such as raccoons, bats, and deer from time to time. Remember they are more afraid of you, so keep calm and they will move along. Just a reminder to keep the window screens down and doors closed at all times especially in the evenings so you don't have an unexpected house guest!

You may notice a sound when the furnace kicks on. We've recently had her serviced and she's doing just fine! She likes to let you know that she's there and keeping you warm.

Location

Jeffersonville, New York, United States

Jeffersonville is a charming village nestled in the Western part of the Sullivan County Catskills. Jeffersonville’s Main Street (Route 52) offers an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and businesses. Tavern on Main, a new restaurant and bar in town has fast become a favorite as well as the Jeffersonville Bake Shop, both located a short walk from Creekside House. Winkelried Biergarten, a beer garden serves traditional German tavern food, locally brewed, and German beer, along with live music throughout the summer. Ted’s Restaurant, a Jeff landmark is worth a stop for their Turkish specialties alone. For groceries Peeks Market is the place to go, as a small supermarket, they have all the essentials in addition to a well-stocked walk-in beer cooler. For fresh local food check out the Jeffersonville’s Farmers Market on Sundays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

If you feel like a drive, head north on Route 52 to Youngsville. Stop by Domesticities & the Cutting Garden for fresh flowers and a unique selection of antiques and gift items. While you are there check out Forthright Cyder nearby for their small-batch hard ciders.

On Sunday head to Callicoon to visit the Farmers Market for local food and crafts. Have lunch at one of the many restaurants and spend the afternoon exploring the town's many shops and antique stores.

On Wednesday summer evenings head to nearby Callicoon Center for a slice of long-forgotten life to hear the Callicoon Center Band. If you're lucky there will be polka dancing in the street and for just a dollar you’ll have the chance to win the homemade pie raffle!

Hi there! Eric, my husband, and I have been coming up to the Catskills area since our Brooklyn days in the '90s. When we realized we were spending more weekends in the country than the city we knew it was time to make a move. Twenty years later, after raising our son in Ossining, NY we are finally making the dream come true! If Eric’s not fly fishing he’s working with me in our large garden where we grow much of the food we eat throughout the summer and fall seasons. We put up what we have left for the winter months. Being here we don’t take for granted looking at all the stars on a clear night or the stillness when we wake up the next morning. We appreciate our communities' focus on local food and products, the arts, and preserving the history of the area and the natural environment. Life is focused on family and supporting our community. It really is small-town living at its best, and that is what we want to share with our guests staying at Creekside House. Welcome!
