Live in the heart of East Village as you visit NYC. This is the most lively neighborhood in New York City and you are just a short walk away from the Lower East Side, NoHo, Little Italy, SoHo, Chinatown, the West Village, NYU, and Union Square. It features an incredible array of amazing cafes, restaurants, bars, lounges, and fashionable boutiques--for every taste and budget.
A short subway ride will take you to Museum Mile (Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim, Whitney, Frick, etc.), Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Museum of Modern Art, the Empire State Building, and everything in between!

Additionally, there are remote-controlled air conditioners in the bedroom and living room, a flat screen TV in the living room (with digital cable, DVR, and DVD player), along with free Wi-Fi.
This very comfortable, homey, clean, and quiet apartment is in an authentic East Village building and is just two flights up (32 steps in total) from the ground level. It is located on 3rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue.

You won't be disappointed and will love the charm of the apartment as well as the vibrancy of the neighborhood!!

Four-night (4) minimum stay required.
We look forward to hosting you!
Dave was a gracious host, with lots of invaluable information about Manhattan.
The unit itself is in a prime location for restaurants, & subway. It's neat & tidy & a nice space to stay in. However-I do have to mention the gas smell in the apartment. Dave was already aware of the smell when I informed him, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done. The smell wasn't so offensive that it made or stay uncomfortable, but it was hard not to be aware of it.
All in all though, it was a fantastic place to stay for or visit to NY!
This a great cute apartment and a great location in Manhattan. I only dealt with Dave for my booking and met him in person - absolutely super with correspondence and checking in with making sure I had everything I needed.
Its an older building, so not for those who want something that is slick and new, but it has the perfect old school New York charm.
Relatively quiet given the location, clean, comfortable and excellent water pressure (a bonus in a multi level walk up apartment building!). Its a small apartment, so ideal for two, but a group of three could stay easily. It doesn't have a separate full kitchen, although you could cook no problem - we ended up keeping busy and didn't utilize this area much.
Lots of amenities around, and a short walk to the subway, which was handy.
Overall an excellent stay in the city. I will be recommending it to some friends who are planning to go to New York this year. Thanks very much Dave!
It was a pleasure to have stayed here on our trip to New York. The apartment was always comfortable for two people to come back to after a busy day - plenty of heat and light and enough room to flake out and relax. Clean and organized as well. It is located in a calm, relatively quiet area (no disturbances at night) with easy access to transit so as to get anywhere you need to go in the city - there is lots to do and see right in the neighborhood as well with all the necessities (corner store, coffee, food, etc.) nearby. Kaitlin and Dave were both a big help ensuring that we got our bearings when we arrived and were able to answer many of our questions as first-time users of Airbnb and first-timers to NYC.
Had a fantastic week staying in the East Village Oasis. Dave & Kaitlin were extremely easy to get in contact with, which eased some of my worries as a first time Airbnb user. Dave was there to greet us and gave us some recommendations for things to do. The apartment is cosy, perfect for 2 people and in a brilliant location for exploring the city, especially the village (both east and west) with lots of lovely bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. Also really good value for money compared to hotels. Overall would definitely look to book this place again next time we visit New York and would recommend it to any couple looking for a great base to explore the city.
Nice little unit in the heart of East Village. Kaitlin and Dave were great hosts with really good communication. The unit is as advertised and proved to be a good base for our stay in NYC. Thanks Dave and Kaitlin.
Had a truly wonderful long weekend in Kaitlin and Dave's lovely little apartment.
Perfect position in the middle of our favourite NYC neighbourhood. The best bars and restaurants of the East Village are all on your doorstep.
Couldn't have asked for more, would certainly stop there again.
A great stay at the East Village Oasis. Dave was very efficient in his communications before and during our stay make the whole experience very enjoyable.
Comfy apartment and great location.
As so many others have written before: nice little apartment and a fantastic location! And Dave was super responsive to questions and had a ton of recommendations!
The only downside was the heating system that kept us awake with it's noise. So much about old buildings and their quirks.
Check-In and Check-Out were absolutely hassle-free.
The best thing about this flat is the location and the responsiveness of the hosts to any e mail. Very impressive. We had stayed in the East Village before, so are familiar with the flats. The buildings are old and there is a quirkiness you certainly don't get with the hotel experience.
We would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful time staying at Kaitlin and Dave's celebrating my 30th birthday over a long hot weekend! Dave was so helpful suggesting excellent places to eat and drink in the area before we booked - it's the reason why we chose to stay at theirs! They were also super accomodating with our check in / check out - and he even helped my boyfriend organise a birthday suprise!
The apartment was fully kitted out with everything we could possibly need and it's in an incredible location in the East Village with everything we needed for a chilled NYC break within walking distance. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and will definately return to Kaitlin and Dave's on our next visit to The Big Apple!
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
