A central location, a cool and designed apartment yet a charming green neighbourhood; hosts that know about the historical and modern cultural of Copenhagen. Welcome to our apartment!
Location: It is located at Christianshavn, the old harbour and rampart of Copenhagen, very close to some of the city’s most fascinating attractions plus public transport and at the same time in a quiet natural environment surrounded by the trees of the rampart. These attractions include Christiania (50m), Vor Frelser Kirke/Our Saviours Church (50m) and Christiansborg, our parliament (1km/1metro stop). Public transport is also very close by 5 minutes of walk and the metro along with many buses will connect you with anywhere in the city. If you are fresher there is a bike rental nearby, which is the true Copenhagen style of exploring the city, highly recommendable!
Apartment: The room is 12m2 with the basics: a bed (with an extra madras), chair, table and a special hanger system for clothes. The apartments bathroom is situated just next to the room and with a door to separate it from the living room and kitchen, where guest are welcome. The view from the room is very pleasant with a lot of green and an old windmill on the rampart; the windmill is now a relaxed restaurant as normal on Chr. Good restaurants are everywhere (One of them, Noma, has been awarded the worlds best restaurant). Other services are wireless internet, television and perhaps a game on the x-box (if you are lucky).
Neighbourhood: The area around the apartment is full of diversity. The direct view from the room is like a grand old mansion from a fairytale, surrounded by trees and with vegetation engulfing the hills of the old defence banks of Copenhagen. If you turn right you will be presented with the golden and extraordinary spiral spire of Vor Frelsers church and an area of some of the oldest houses in Copenhagen, which, along with much of the rest of Christianshavn is residential area. If you on the other hand follow the left road you will find the back entrance to the Freetown Christiania a unique sanctuary in the city where cars are banned and nature and humans live freely together, with parties now and then. At last there is the old harbour, which is calm and a wonderful place to take a relaxing walk to settle the mind and look at some of the historical architecture of Copenhagen. Christianshavn is generally considered a very lively and urban area, but the apartment lies in a corner where it more quiet. Because of that you can find a place to every mood at Christianshavn, and it is the best area in Denmark.
Hosts: I would happy give/tell guide tours in the area as well as further into the city and its underground. I’ll cook everyday and I think we can make a deal about some breakfast, diner etc. So all in all, what you get is a wonderful place to stay, with plenty of opportunities to socialize with locals and getting to now more about Copenhagen, than you else would.
Please clean up after you self and use the dishwasher. Have fun!
Frederick and Richard were very honest, relaxed, friendly and easy to be around - always ready for a genuine conversation. The room was nice, decent size and very quiet with a green outlook. Frederick cooked a great vegetarian pasta! Sorry for not returning the favour Frederick :)
Frederik is a very friendly and engaging host and his apartment is light filled and airy. The neighborhood is adjacent to a very green are and we enjoyed walking around the area. It is close to the Metro, grocery stores, banks, and pharmacies.
Kopenhagen was great. Not only the city, but also the house we lived in. Frederik was a very friendly and courteous host. For example he had much advices where we should go or what we should eat.
The place was central and you are able to reach nearly everything important by foot. Still it was very quiet and you have a great view out of the window.
I would highly recommend to book at Frederiks place. If I come to Kopenhagen again I would as well.
Frederik was a wonderful host!
He spent time telling us about the city, the attractions and even gave me detailed directions on how to get to the places that I wanted to see.
The apartment was very clean and the room had everything I needed.
The location was perfect and within walking distance of the main attractions in the centre of the city.
By the far the best air bnb place that I've stayed in!
Frederik is a very nice host who will give you good tips what to visit in the city. Very central location in a nice neighbourhood.
Copenhagen, one of the best cities i have ever visited. Sightseeing, people, architecture, all just amazing.
The host Frederick, is a nice guy and very welcoming. We reached before our arriving time, and host welcomed us and gave us the key with no issue.
The House is on the good and convenient location, connecting all the main routes to the city and about 15 mins walk to the city centre. Its just few stops away from the airport and takes around 10-15 mins by metro.
We never felt like we were in someone else's house. Felt like we were in our own house.
Overall we recommend to visit Copenhagen, and if you need cheap and nice place, Fredrick is the guy to contact.
Hi, my name is Frederik! I’m a young man who is currently studying and therefore I would like to offer a room for rent. The other reason is that I am enormously fond of travelling and meeting new people, so why don’t take that experience home? I am, besides from that, interested in things such as sports (bicycling, swimming, skateboard etc.), science/technology, politics, cooking, art and philosophy.
