Interaction with Guests

We can give you great local knowledge, meet you in the local Town of Cahersiveen to show you the shops and facilities and then if you wish to drive you to the House in Portmagee or arrange to leave the key on the door for you :)

The Neighborhood

Its quiet, peaceful, scenic and relaxing. My Uncle, Aunt and Grandmother live next door on the farm so there is always help at hand and friendly banter.

Getting around

You will need a car to get around especially to the local town, but the village is only about a mile away on the road but shorter to walk along the beach (safer at low tide). if you like cycling its a great way to see the local scenery.

Other Things to Note

Directions to the house:
When in Co Kerry, follow signs for Cahersiveen, we can meet you in O'Sheas B&B in Church Street and direct you to the Atlantic View Villa or if you want to explore and find the house yourself its very easy to find and sign posted all the way.
Take the main RIng of Kerry road from Cahersiveen to Portmagee and Valentia Is, turn right at Kerry foods (old creamery) where there is a little shop and petrol pump. Go straight along the road and drive through the village of Portmagee, turn left at the Fishermans Pub (opposite the pier where Skellig boats leave)
follow along 'New Road' on the Skellig Ring until you see a sign for Reencaheragh turn right (between two houses)
Drive down the hill towards the beach, you will come to a junction where there is a white farm house and Kathleen & Jerrys house 'Reen Coast B&B' and ours is the peach house beside it. We will leave a key for you.

  • This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful area right on the coast. Linda and her Dad were super nice and helpful. The cottage itself is clean, bright, cheerful, and very spacious. We were thoroughly happy with every aspect of our stay here. If we come back to Ireland, we would definitely stay here again!

  • This is a great place to stay and relax. It is quiet and peaceful, close to a beach and well appointed. Everything was ready for us and having a fire while sitting in the living area was soul nurturing. Portmagee and Valentia Island both have wonderful hidden treasures and we were quite blown away with the amazing Kerry Cliffs that are so close to the house. I would highly recommend staying here and if I ever get the privilege of coming to Ireland again, I will come back here!

  • The house has plenty of room and is in a beautiful scenic area close to the beach. The house acted as an ideal starting point to go explore the little town of Portmagee, the Skellig Ring, Venetia Island, along with the more traditional Ring of Kerry. Waking up with the sheep calling and wandering 2 minutes down to the water was a real treat.

  • We really enjoyed our stay this summer at Linda's !!
The house was spacious and clean, and each of my 3 daughters had her own room ! We especially enjoyed the living room with the fire place where we could burn some turf that Linda kindky provided us.
The house is ideally located in a lovely little village on a road driving straigth down to a pebble beach where the girls loved spending time each day. We enjoyed travelling around the Kerry ring, and maybe even more on the Skelling Ring, with its lovely little roads , beeches, cliffs, etc.
We definitly recommand Linda's house !

  • We had a wonderful stay: comfortable house at a fair price, perfectly located in one of the most beautiful place of Kerry, and above all the nicest hosts one can imagine. Hope to come back soon!

  • We absolutely loved the house, location and town! We were given a warm welcome, shown about the town a bit and escorted right to the place. The house is spacious and comfortable, we enjoyed the fire place a ton. It's a peaceful location, right near the beach and surrounded by fields. Our hosts were lovely, accommodating people and we enjoyed our stay very much.
