If you are looking for a special place for your holiday, this is just the place for you. Our 150-year-old Molino is a former water mill, partially built into the rock and located above the rooftops of Santa Cruz de la Palma.
Everything was renovated but originally left. From the street it goes up 150 steps and another 150m hiking trail uphill. A very special place that can only be reached on foot and at the same time offers proximity to nature and all the amenities of the city.

The space
Through the front door you get directly to the spacious kitchen/dining room. The room has a cozy sleeping level with mattress which can be reached via a steep ladder, a wall of natural rock, a hammock and a large dining table. In the kitchenette you will find fridge, gas stove with oven, sink, washing machine and a beautiful view of the sea through the small kitchen window.
In the adjoining living room you can relax sitting on one of the two sofas or in the old Canarian windows. YouTube or your own Prime/Netflix/GooglePlay account can be used on the smart TV.
The bathroom with natural stone floor and small cave is equipped with sink, toilet, bidet and shower.
In the bedroom there is a spacious bed (180x200) and a sofa bed (80x200) waiting for you (the sofa bed can also be placed in the living room). Here you can enjoy the former mill ramp and the morning sun through a large glass door to the outside...and in the afternoon sit on the steps in the pleasant shade and enjoy a cortado with a view over Santa Cruz and the ocean.
Outside there are three small terraces. A mosaic terrace with table and chairs. Here you can eat great and has a great view of the mountains and the other three mills. The two other terraces overlook the high houses of the city on the sea and can be used for eating, sunbathing, gymnastics or whatever. In addition, in front of the house there is a table with benches and sea views. This is our favorite breakfast spot.
For refreshment, an outdoor shower (partially transparent) is waiting for you on an old millstone.

Where you’ll be

Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canarias, Spain

From the Molino, everything is within walking distance, assuming a certain fitness. The city beach is only about 1 km away, the nearest large supermarket is right at the beginning of the hiking trail, about 300m away. The beautiful pedestrian zone is only 800m
away... The Molino itself is one of four old water mills, which are distributed on the slope and are described in various guides. Oriented east and south, there's long sunshine here and you can enjoy sunrises and views of the neighboring islands of Gomera and Tenerife.
