Had an amazing time at Long Valley campsite. The location is incredibly beautiful and secluded, perfect for walking and getting away from it all. The yurt was great and had all you need. John provide detailed instructions of how to get there and everything you need to bring and consider. Highly recommend this campsite for those that want to be surrounded by nature and a great network of walks.

Lovely little yurt with everything you need. Its secluded but in walking distance of a quaint pub/hotel, that does great food. We had terrible weather for most of our stay, but managed to see the stars from inside on the last night.. which was fab! There are buses that can take u to the town, with a 15-20 min walk to the lake. Apparently there is a walk through the woods that can be done too, but avoid the road route as its a very long and can be dangerous. (Locals advised after we had walked this route for about an hr and stumbled across another lovely pub..) I'd recommend taking a sleeping bag and warm clothes (just in case) John was very helpful and accommodating.. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

An exciting experience! A great combination of being in touch with all the breathtaking beauty surrounding us while enjoying lovely creature comforts, such as wooden floors, wood burning stove (very lovely & toasty!) and cool furniture. The pub up the road is fantastic, too.

The yurt exceeded our expectations with regards to what was provided for the price. Literally the only thing we had to bring was our food and drink, and towels - everything else was provided from oven gloves to a coffee filter. Flys were a bit of a problem on our last day, so it may be an idea to bring bug spray. Although we didn't do any walking/climbing, the location is quite central to visit other attractions in the area and it was so nice to come back to our own cozy space at the end of each day. The wood-burning stove heats the space very well, and popping a plate of hot-cross buns in the warm oven in the morning was a real treat!

Beautiful location. Lovely hiking area with some magical waterfalls very close by. The yurt kept us warm and dry over a very wet period. Although I did find several insects crawling on me throughout the night.

We had a fabulous week in the yurt! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a little while. Fantastic little escape but in comfort and warmth. Quiet, picturesque campsite with loads of walking and exploring to do

Had an amazing time staying in the yurts at the weekend. Pubs were within walking distance and everyone was really friendly. The yurts themselves were a lot bigger than we'd thought they would be and were beautiful inside! The fire was needed as it was chilly at night and the shower block was nice and close with fab hot showers - which were needed as the weather wasn't on our side unfortunately!! A short drive away were cute villages and towns with lots to do. Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend.

Long Valley Yurts. Yurt holidays with a breath of fresh air. Based in two beautiful locations with the Lake District National Park, come and enjoy a holiday with a difference.

Kick off your shoes and relax.. 'A truly magical experience' is how some of our guests have described staying in one of our bell tents or yurts.

Sitting back with your mug of hot chocolate, enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove and watch the solar fairy lights twinkling against the canvas as you drift off to sleep. Waking up the next morning to the sound of birdsong with the prospect of a day of exciting new adventures ahead is all part of the Long Valley Yurts holiday experience.
