The Space

Wonderful landscape. Time to relax. Enjoy calm woods, watch all kinds of animals nearby or just appreciate the fresh water source which shows up just behind the house. All in all the house is just 10 min to downtown Bielefeld, 325.000 inhabitants city with all you could like: art and culture, sports and easy living. Take a walk in the woods, enjoy nature and have fun to share city life with others!

If you travel alone, you ll get a room with one bed. Also for 2 travellers there will be a room with a double bed. All neighbours live at least 200 meters from the house. Just a 10 min walk from the house you ll find a well known pub for Rock and Blues, where you can have a nice evening with good food and drinks. Or you prefer to go to Bielefeld to enjoy all kind of activities downtown. The bus to the city is a 20 min walk away and runs every 20-30 min.

Enjoy calm days near the woods or (email hidden)ly day downtown and a rest in the house. Or just go into the garden, take a few hours off, reading, relaxing, BBQ whatever.. If you like walking, hiking, jogging: nature its just a step away!

The house is the perfect combination of silent quite nature experience and the possibility to discover the region around Bielefeld, Teutoburger Wald, Osnabrück, even Münster. • My girlfriend and I have encountered many airbnb hosts and we would say Markus is the best host we have ever met. We went to Bielefeld for watching a tennis tournament in Halle. Markus did not just come and pick us up in the train station, he and his partner drove us to Halle for the tennis tournament, and drove us back as well. We got lost a few times in the forest and they never hesitated to come and 'save' us. They are not only good hosts but also good people that every guest can trust and should respect. They made good breakfasts too.

  • Our visit to Markus was one of the highlights of our visit to Germany. We found him, his hideaway home and the surrounding area utterly charming. We can highly recommend his place for a visit.

  • At first I was a bit worried about staying outside of the city, but Markus immediately put my fears to rest in an email exchange before my trip. On the train ride into Bielefeld, I got a call from Markus, a very good sign. We met at the station, I told him I was hungry, so he took me to a family gathering at his mother's house where strawberry shortcake was being served! Amazing. Then, he and Ina took me on a tour of the city center of Bielefeld, and we sat down at Mellow Gold, which we determined was a Beck-themed tavern (Jeff Beck was on the speakers, Beck's was on tap, Mellow Gold was Beck's first album...). We then drove out to their home. Each day, when I needed to be at the University, Ina made me a delicious breakfast and then gave me a ride. Then, at the end of the day, Markus was always available to meet me at whatever the nearest bus stop was and give me a ride back to their place. What a great couple of hosts. The house is lovely and is set in a beautiful, green, hilly rural landscape. If you like nightlife, there is a very cool tavern within walking distance. At the end of my stay, Markus gave me an early morning ride to the train station. I couldn't have asked for more.

  • I had a very nice three night stay at Ina and Markus' cottage. It is picturesque and quiet out there - except for the occasional tractor. ;)
Both were very friendly and welcoming and their house offers all amenities, especially lovely outside seating.
I would recommend a stay at their place when you're looking for a great getaway.
    Thank you Ina & Markus!

  • This spring my husband and I enjoyed a lovely week in the beautiful place of Markus and Ina. Surrounded by nature and peace, the location is absolutely superb! From there you can easily make many trips towards interesting places in the area, both culturally and naturally. There is a lot of possibilities to choose from. Markus and Ina gave us great advices and were very pleasant and flexible hosts. The home (and garden!) are very convenient and we also enjoyed spending some nice time together with Markus and Ina.
This country house is definitely a place to recommend to all of you, who are looking for a wonderful place to stay in the area. Go and enjoy!

  • Very friendly hosts, with lot of international experience (know what people need when they travel). Nice welcome drinks at fireplace where there even we arrived really late (2300). For breakfast we had yummy fresh bread from bakery. Vegetarian option was there too. The area is really nice fro hiking and mountain biking. Distance from Bielefeld downtown was not issue , its was only 15 min by car (depending the traffic). There was also option for double bed or separate beds. Nothing negative to say... By the way ask the host about Bielefeld , he knows everything.

  • I stayed one night at Markus's place. Markus and Ina were very welcoming right from the begining. We had interesting discussions, dinner and a drink in Bielefeld together, and a nice walk around the city centre. The house is worm and nicely decorated, and the room confortable. The area around the house is a mix of trees and green fields, very peacefull. I enjoyed staying there and would strongly recommend this place!
