The space
This camping experience is definitely not the typical idea of camping you may have. There’s no place like this. Even if you camp often, our concept is not even available nowhere else. The uniqueness of this place is that the owners backyard’s property is a FOREST 🌳 with a natural rock climbing wall 🧗‍♂️ for NON climbers AND climbers who want to stay camping with the convenience of having bathroom, parking, kitchen, BBQ area and a Mountain View.

You will sleep in a natural rock shelter as your private room!. This is the way our natives used to sleep and made rituals. The zone is a famous archaeological site. Enjoy this ancestral getaway.

The cost includes tent, full size air mattress set up, pillows and bed sheets, 1 parking spot, full bathroom, a battery/solar operated fan and an outdoor kitchen (small fridge, stove, coffee maker, utensils). Price also includes 2 guests, a 3rd and 4th guest may sleep in the hammock or in a small rock shelter next to this one for an additional cost of 20$pp.

Maximum persons: 4

ACCESS details: 🗺

Your rock shelter name is Refugio Sagrado. To get to the rock shelter you first need to know that the trail is ROCKY, sometimes a little muddy, and need to use fixed ropes to help yourself hike to get there. Bring boots or good grip shoes. You should be in the mood to get a little adventure as well! You will get there using a map.

See video:

Bathroom, kitchenette and parking spot is at about 6-7 minutes hiking from the rock shelter.

Check in time: 4pm-6pm ⏰
Check out is before 9:00am

➡️➡️ Multiple days stay:

Parking is very limited here. If you want to stay more than 1 night, it’s important that you know we need parking spots for other people coming during the day. It is very hard for us to find parking for other people if you leave your car the whole day in the spot for days. Our suggestion is to go and explore places around and come back in the afternoon for your next night. Obviously if you will be rock climbing that’s not a problem at all!! We can suggest really good places and you can also see our guidebook for that.

If you are a NON experienced/Beginner you would have to hire us as guides for an additional but very convenient cost. Yes, kids from 3 years old can rock climb too! If you are interested just follow these steps to make a reservation. We only work with reservations, make sure you book it before getting here.

Suggestions for a better stay/What to bring: 📝

1- If you want to make a campfire and you don’t know how to do it, we sell the logs at 10$ (last for 1.5 hrs). Let us know in advance to have it prepared for you.
2- Bring your towel / or we can provide it at no additional cost.
3- Since you need to hike for about 5-6 minutes to get there you need: boots or similar good grip shoes and it will be easier if you get here before sunset.
4- Bring in a backpack only items you will use at the cave such as water, food, phone, headlamps or flashlight, etc. Bathroom items can be left in your car or in the shelves at the kitchen in a box or a closed bag to keep it organized. Bathroom is located close to the entrance at about 5-6 minutes from the cave. Plan accordingly when to get the shower etc.
5- You can also follow Leave No Trace Principles for an alternate way to dispose human wastes. (Dig a hole at least 25 feet away of any campsite or trail, of at least 6” depth then cover it). See this video:
6- You can bring your own camping stove if its the small one and if it fits in your backpack. You need your hands free for the trail!
7- You need to download the Airbnb app to have access to all the details and messages at real time.
8- See our guidebook to see all the good restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and more that we have compiled for you:

👀 See these videos where you can see our forest area and the Rock Shelters:

1- We extremely hate to write something like this in the first rule, but you can’t left behind your garbage. Its yours, keep it and bring it to the trash can.

4- Do not harm plants or animals of any kind.
5- Do NOT flush toilet paper because it will get clogged in the pipes. You can be charged 25$ or more to fix this. Also keep the bathroom door locked after you’re done.
6- Do not use bar soap in the open shower. We provide of liquid soap for you.
7- If you plan to do a campfire also plan how you will turn it off. Carry additional water for this purpose and never fall asleep while a campfire is still burning.
8- If you are in the kitchenette area at 10pm or later remember to have noises at a minimum.
9- The main gate is never locked, however it should remain closed especially after 8pm. Please help us on that.

11- Before you leave make sure you didn’t leave anything in our property. We are not responsible for your items and will not ship it to you

If you don’t frequently do camping, you should know these type of experiences may take you out of your comfort zone.
However, you open your mind for new and unique experiences to happen and that otherwise you will not get.
In order for these experiences to be better and organized we set up for you a tent, full size air mattress, two pillows , two sleeping bags, bed sheets, hammock and a fan. In addition you will have access to a full bathroom. Your camping area will be exclusively for you and your companion. All these logistics definitely make a difference if you need to do it yourself, thats why we do it for you!
