In the past few years a number of great restaurants have opened in the neighbourhood, including an outstanding wine bar on the ground floor of the building.

The flat is a 3 minute walk to metro Grands Boulevards (line 8 & 9) and a short walk to lines 7, 3, 4, and 12. Gare du Nord is a 20 minute walk away, or can be reached by several bus lines nearby.

The apartment was all that could have been expected and being on the 6th floor of an old Paris building - quite unique. All appliances, condiments and equipment required to be self sufficient (including a coffee maker) were available. A balcony with a view of the Eiffel tower in one direction and the Notre Dame in the other completed the picture. The hosts lived in the adjacent apartment and were very accessible. Any small problems were dealt with immediately. The location was within minutes of numerous restaurants and food stores and not more than 5 minutes from the Metro. Most of the high profile attractions in Paris were within walking distance of the apartment. As hosts, Gregoire and Robert were most accommodating and we spent a very pleasant hour with them while discussing their ideas of what we might enjoy doing in Paris.
This a lovely flat in a great neighborhood! The apartment is just as it is pictured. Grégoire met us with our luggage and helped us stuff it into the elevator. That elevator is small but a life saver when you have two weeks worth of luggage to get up 6 flights of stairs! The apartment is light-filled and very well equipped. It has a nice espresso machine with complementary coffee pods. There were plenty of pots and pans for cooking, cooking oils (vegetable and olive oil), spices and even sweeteners for the coffee. There is also a washing machine in the kitchen which works well and there is detergent provided. It was so helpful not to have to buy essentials for a week long stay! The bathroom is also nicely equipped, however, the water pressure leaves something to be desired. There is a hairdryer but I would suggest bringing your own as it is not very powerful. The bed is ample for two people but we did find the mattress to be a little too firm for our personal taste. The balconies provide light and great views of many sides of the city. There is a computer and desk which we found very helpful. There is a great selection of books and some DVDs as well.
The metro stations couldn't have been any closer and was so helpful in getting around the city quickly. There are 2 grocery stores just downstairs and several good restaurants. Overall a great value for the price! Book early, there is a reason it books up so quickly!
This was a perfect gem in the heart of Paris. We were central to everything that we wanted to do and the flat was perfect for our "second honeymoon". We felt like we were true Parisians with a perfect Parisian view. Gregoire was a great host. Our flat was clean, he provided some great wine, and even better recommendations of great things to do in the city. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to live like a local in one of the most perfect spots in Paris.
Our stay at Grégoire & Robert's place was perfect. We loved everything about staying in their cozy rooftop apartment.
We really feel like we lived like Parisians for 3 weeks. The location was super central to everything we wanted to do, the internet was great so I could get work that needed to be done. The views were awesome.
It is such a charming flat. At first I was worried about A/C, but the breeze the moment we walked in kept it cool even on warm days.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
ALSO, Grégoire and Robert were super helpful about places to eat, responsive when we had questions, and are the ultimate hosts.
Gregoire arranged for a lovely neighbour to meet us at check in and all went smoothly. We didn't meet our hosts even though they were helpful with questions on local knowledge and we had the comfort of knowing they were right next door if needed. This is a beautiful apartment in the rooftops and is as described. All essentials provided and more. It is in a great area of Paris and a perfect base to explore by foot, metro or bus. The space is small (presumably normal for this area) however adequate for two. My husband is 6ft4 and struggled with the rooftop ceilings at times. The shower had very, very little water pressure which is bothersome for weary travellers. Overall great week in this beautiful apartment and would recommend hosts and their apartment.
The apartment was sunny and cheery. Gregoire welcomed us with flowers and orange juice. The neighborhood is filled with food stores - people really live here!
We spent a glorious May week in Grégoire and Robert's flat in the 9th. The location was ideal for the sight-seeing we had on our list...yet it was also the perfect launchpad for getting lost in lesser known arrondissements. The flat was exactly as advertised and perfectly appointed. Be sure to read the guidebook they have crafted to accompany the flat- it's a thorough guide with great recommendations for shopping and eating in the immediate vicinity. All-in-all, Grégoire and Robert's flat was the perfect accompaniment to our week in Paris. As we were packing to leave on the last night, we heard the strands of "La Vie en Rose" from the open balcony windows played by a street performer from below. While we know these gents nor AirBnB set this in motion, it couldn't have been a more perfect end to a wonderful week.
