Large and bright living room with two openings on the roof, Splendid (website hidden). Easy free parking or guarded, adjacent to public transportation. Ideal for walking through the beauty of the historic center of Rome: about 15 minutes by walk to Largo Argentina, 20 minutes to Piazza Venezia or St. Peter, and the alleys of Trastevere practically a stone's throw from home, the most characteristic district of Rome!
I recommend romantic dinners on the terrace ... you will not find a better view in any restaurant, guaranteed!
The rule is only one: do not do to my house you would not want somebody do in your home. Just a bit of education, that's all.
La regola è solo una: non fare a casa mia quello che non vorresti che qualcuno facesse in casa tua. Basta solo un pò di educazione, tutto qui.
Raffaele's apartment was one of the highlights of our trip!
Raffaele's apartment was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. Situated in a quiet corner of Trastevere but with easy access to the quarter's entertainment, it was a nice, little haven. The light is particularly great in the morning, and the apartment had a nice airy feel to it. I would definitely stay here again!
I was new to airbnb and, after our airbnb stay in Rome, am a convert. The rooftop apartment is beautiful, with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the city -- the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. In a quiet part of Trastevere, but easily accessible to all of Rome, it was a highlight of our trip. Thanks Raffael for a wonderful stay!
We stated at Raf's place, the apartment was very nice and had an amazing view of Rome. The main bedroom was very comfortable and there were two separate bathrooms. It worked out well for the most part. Although other reviews mentioned they did not have difficulty getting to the tourist areas I did have difficulty finding good public transport options. When I looked at Google for directions we always had to walk a fair amount to a bus stop. I must confess that the only reason this was difficult is because I was traveling with my mother. Also the other bedroom is a bit uncomfortable. There is futon and a second bedroom that is not very comfortable. Overall these things are workable.
Overall this was a very positive experience. There are several restaurants 5 to 10 minute walk from the apartment. The other very positive thing was that we had a car and there was street parking readily available which meant that we did not have to pay for parking.
Raffaele's apartment is exactly as described and very stylishly furnished. The terrace is very large with wonderful views right across the city. The apartment has an excellent kitchen with everything one could expect for a relaxed and pleasant stay. The building is very secure and has a cute old fashioned lift. Being just off the via trastavere it could not be better situated, in easy walking distance of all the 'hot spots' of Rome, transport links could not be better with a tram lune right outside. Excellent shops and markets in mins distance. I cant think of anything I wasn't happy with. Raf and Josy were very helpful and enquired as to how my trip was going and if I needed anything. They say "see Rome and die" and it lives up to its name of the Great Beauty! A fantastic stay, I would be happy to stay again as soon as I can.
The place was fantastic! Great space for two people (or I'd say up to 4 if you have kids as there is a spare bedroom). Location is in a great neighborhood in its own right - very pretty streets and good bars, shops and restaurants. As the ad says the tram is right outside the house, and the main Trastevere station is only three stops away. We didnt bother with the tram to walk to the historic city center - the walk across the river is lovely and getting to the Pantheon is less than 30 mins.
The flat itself was perfectly clean and had a welcoming interior, plus it has an amazing, massive terrace overlooking the city on the 7th floor that is jaw-dropping. We spent every evening out there drinking wine before heading out for the night. I didnt meet the owner, but he sent someone to let me in and as my flight came in at 6am, was flexible enough to have someone meet me there before the check-in time, which was great. I would absolutely recommend the place.
