  • Great location in the historic center but on a quiet street. The apartment was a good choice for the two of us. Giovani was very helpful, hospitable and generous with his time. Thank you Giovanni!

  • All the great reviews about Giovanni are absolutely spot on! He was incredibly gracious and helpful. He gave us some wonderful recommendations about restaurants, beaches and locales to visit (the Puritate restaurant in Gallipoli was amazing.) He also took us to some of his favorites restaurants, bars and pastry shops in Lecce. He and his girlfriend Ilaria were delightful, the apartment was very comfortable and Lecce was a special place. We would love to return and would recommend this place to everyone.

  • We stayed in Giovanni,s apartment for two months in Lecce and everything written about Giovanni is true. He kept in contact from start to finish and gave us some great tips on Restaurants and especially wine. He even took us for a day at the beach. The apartment has everything you need and is located in a lovely quiet street in the old town. The people of Lecce are so friendly, I would highly a stay at this aparmtment.

  • The house was nice. Coffee machine and a wine glass helped to create an atmosphere of Italy. It is an old town and within walking distance of the beautiful architectural models. Thanks to host.

  • Great apartment in the center of old town Lecce! The apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious with lots of conveniences. Walking distances to shops and restaurants. Giovanni is a great host. Upon arrival he met us, showing us where to park our car in an inexpensive lot near the apartment. We then had a tour of the city center, as Giovanni pointed out the best coffee bar, gelato shop, restaurants, and shared historic information. He also recommended the best places nearby to visit. The best part of our stay was the invitation to join Giovanni and Ilaria along with friends for wine and dinner. We had a fantastic time. We would definitely stay at this apartment again while visiting Lecce.

  • What a marvelous apartment in Lecce!! Giovanni and Ilaria are an absolute delight as hosts and we quickly became part of the local scenery, having been advised of all the best restaurants and local markets to secure provisions. We also know now, that there IS truth to the rumour that you can have inexpensive but VERY good wines - courtesy of the advice of our personal sommelier Giovanni. Sweet Home Lecce is all that is promised - in a quiet part of Historic Lecce, so you can walk to everything which is a good idea, given that you'll want to walk off all the food! The apartment is very cozy and well appointed. No car is required, but if you want to make an excursion to Galipoli or Otranto, the trains run regularly and it's just a short trip to the seaside. Lecce itself is a beautiful town full of history and wonderful things to see. Make sure you do your research before you come so that you can enjoy the architecture and art to its fullest. Our month stay here was in February - not high season, so there was some rain, but it's such a lovely town that we found that all you need is an umbrella. We are from Canada, so we did find it a bit amusing that the local people all wear puffy parkas, when for us, it felt more like spring! Thank you to our lovely hosts - we are applauding you from here!! Denise and Murray

  • My wife and I just finished a month-long stay in Lecce, so please take it from me: if you plan on visiting Lecce you really should rent this place. Sweet Home Lecce is a large and comfortable apartment situated perfectly on the quiet edge of Lecce's beautiful centro storico, close to all of the sites and cafes in the old town, but also near easy parking and shopping on via Taranto.

The real reason to stay here, though, is the host, Giovanni. The Leccese are famous from their friendliness, but I would need more than the allotted 500 words to list all of the kindnesses that Giovanni paid to us in the time we stayed in his apartment. Here are a few highlights: he picked us up from the airport, and returned the next day BY HIMSELF to pick up our lost luggage. He offered to drive us around the Salento, and took us to gorgeous beaches we never would have found on our own, as well as offering (insisting really) to give us tours of Otranto and Galipolli. He responded to any questions I had about Lecce almost immediately and usually offered to come by and show me where to buy wine or do laundry himself. He invited us out to dinner and drinks with his friends many times, and always made sure to include us in the conversation despite our bad Italian. In short, from the moment we met, Giovanni treated us more like friends than tenants. Thank you!

Oh, and we even learned some Leccesse dialect: Sta bai fortissimu!

  • Great Host and Great Place. Giovanni welcomed us and informed us of everything we needed to know. Also gave us a bottle of wine on arrival!
He told us of the best beaches around the area and restaurants.
Greatest host yet!!! and the location is great.
Anyone going to Lecce must stay here!

Thanks Giovanni for making our time in Puglia different in a positive way!
