Mill Cottage dates from around 1880 and was originally home to the miller of the adjacent (non working) sawmill. Later on it was the telegram office for the area. Nowadays it is a traditional holiday cottage, quirky and full of character. The location and outlook are wonderful with breathtaking views of Loch Awe and lawns that give way to natural wild gardens and woodland. Listen to the burbling stream and enjoy the 3 acre field in front.

Emma’s cottage is so charming and located right near the Loch and Castle Kirchurn. She was such a kind and gracious host and so very helpful. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage very much.

Good location, very quaint and rustic. Tub was difficult to use (water temp, color, etc.), No shower. WiFi is pay per use. All in all a good experience. Check out the nearby castles.

Response from Emma:
The wifi is BT Unlimited broadband, and there is no need to pay. The code is on the hub and in the house manual. Use is free and unlimited at all times. The listing states we have a bath and no shower. Sometimes after particularly heavy rainfall there is a peat colour to…

The Cottage was a cozy, quaint spot near Cladich overlooking Loch Awe. It was the perfect location for us to take day trips to the Whiskey Trail, Glen Coe, Isle of Mull and Iona, Loch Ness, the sheep dog training center and rent boats on Loch Awe to see the castle ruins and grave…

I am the 4th generation of my family to live on the farm here. I know the area well and can advise people where to go both on and off the beaten track. I have been to the places I recommend and often with my 4 children. We live an outdoor life, we spend a lot of time in and on…
