Welcome to our little sanctuary :) If you are looking for a real home and a special Budapest apartment for your stay, you are on the right place!

The apartment is on the top floor in a more than 100-year-old five-storey building, and because the half of the building has just 4 stores, the view to the opposite site's rooftop and chimneys is very fabled. The building itself was built in 1910 so it survived 2 world wars and several smaller and bigger revolutions too... and it shows upon it of course, but it is its unique beauty :)

The apartment has FULL COMFORT, it's AIR-CONDITIONED to cool you down during the hot summer days and has an authentic heating facility to warm you up in the frosty winter.

You can put down your shoes and clothes in the tiny hall, and have rest in the very bright living room, cook a fine dinner in the well-equipped kitchen or wash away the dust of the road in the super clean bathroom.
In the front of the apartment's window there is a small area on the corridor where you can sit down and have your morning coffee too.

Upstairs, on the LOFT there is a DOUBLE BED for 2 person and in case downstairs there is a sofa which can be turned into an extra double bed. So here can sleep even 4 person but I say this apartment is optimal for 2 maximum 3 person.

SURROUNDING
The apartment situated in a small and quite street right on the junction of the Palace (8th) district and Erzsébetváros (7th) district where used to be the old Jewish ghetto during the 2nd World War. The biggest synagogue in Hungary, the Gozsdu-yard, and the famous and luxurious New York Palace are in a light walk away. Nowadays this inner part of the district is more mentioned as the "Ruin bar" or "Party" district, because here is the most vivid nightlife in the city. Lots of very good ruinbars and restaurants are in just 5-10 minutes walk from the apartment.

The other side, the Palace district is a real cultural recreation, it got the name because here were built the luxurious palaces of the old aristocrats, esquires and lords of Hungary during the 19th century by noble architects like Miklós Ybl or József Hild. So this area abounds of architectural sights like the neighboring beautiful art nouveau building of the Uránia National Film Theater .
The top of that there is the National Museum of Hungary which is in 5 minutes walk from the accommodation.

Sziasztok, or hello Everyone!

Balázs and I are a Hungarian couple in our mid 30's and living with our adorable daughter around 30 km far from Budapest on a lovely island near Szentendre. Balázs is freelance photographer, and I am freelance product and graphic designer. I moved to Budapest during my university years and Balázs came there for work after his exchange studies in Volda, Norway. Honestly after almost 15 years I'm still like a tourist in Budapest because this city is still able to renew from day to day.

I bought a little cozy atelier style apartment after my university years and this was my little warm home and atelier till Balázs and I moved together. While I was living there this wasn't just a home or workplace, it was accommodation for a lot of people who became friends :) One of them was telling me several times, that she can literally feel the spirit of this apartment...and maybe she’s right.
It was always a very calming experience for everybody just staying here, sitting on the balcony starring at the rooftops or chatting on the sofa under the loft (which is made by my super Mum, I'm so proud of her :).

Our passions are the travelling, exploring the nature and the outdoor sports. I am a paraglider pilot and rock climber and Balázs is in love with slacklining and highlining. These hobbies are very important for us, in Balázs's case for the pure relaxing, for me getting out of the four walls. Because of our hobbies and creative professions travelling is also really important for us to get more and more inspiration and elan. Our common big dream is to get a big car and travel to Norway at least for a month, so Balázs could show me all the beauties of the fjords, magical hills, the northern lights and those cozy villages :).

So, let's stay with us, or let us stay with you, whatever just keep on traveling! :)

This is your vacation, so we really won't disturb you, except it is your explicit wish! :)

Because of the pandemic for our guest's and our safety we do not meet our guests in person. But in case on-line we are happy to tell you everything about the apartment and the city and I gladly help you to get familiar with the Hungarian habits, where to find a good restaurant or how to get to the Széchenyi Thermal-bath and other tips.
After that it's your turn to discover the cozy streets of the downtown, getting lost in the amazing Budapest's nightlife, starring at the huge eagle at the Castle, climb the Gellér-hill or try out the Hungarian kitchen. :)
