Eric and Dympna live in a modern 3 storey beachfront guesthouse in the quaint and picturesque seaside village of Duncannon. The friendly village also has a working fishing harbour, and is built around a spectacular star shaped 16th century fort. The village has a couple of nice pubs which serve excellent food and are a great place to sit and relax after a day sightseeing.
Our uniquely situated home has 3 en-suite rooms for guests, each with large south facing windows giving exceptional views of the award winning beach and surrounding Waterford estuary. Your room is a very comfortable double ensuite. Your stay with us also includes a hearty Irish breakfast, which will be served to you while you take in the magnificent views from our breakfast room directly overlooking the beach.
The surrounding area is renown for outstanding natural beauty and has remained unspoiled, while still easily accessible to all major routes. Duncannon is 2 hours from Dublin or 45 mins from rosslare ferryport.
We had a lovely stay at this quiet little B&B. We checked in no problem. Our room had a fantastic view of the beach and water located directly outside. Less than a one minute walk to the beach. There are also several good places to eat just a short walk up the road. Breakfast was great as well. Be sure to show up hungry because it will fill you up!
Très belle chambre avec vue sur mer et salle d'eau privative : très raffinée.
Accès plage à 50 m de la maison, accueil chaleureux par Eric, le mari de Dympna,, conseils pour dîner et circuit touristique.
excellent "Irish Breakfast"! Merci!
Dympna's place was fabulous!! It was right on the water; the view was amazing, the room was very comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was amazing!! The town of Duncannon was a jem; the people were all so very friendly and helpful with suggesting on which sites to visit. I would stay here again in the future. Thank you so much Dympna.
the hosts where both helpfull and knoweable about the area, the breakfast was hearty which went well with the beautifull sea view, the bike ride to the hook lighthouse is a great experience on a good day also, i have no hesistation in recommending a stay here....mark
Beautiful spot and nice set up with good food at nearby pub a few minutes walk away. I would not hesitate to stay again.
We arrived a little earlier in the afternoon than expected but were well received by the host and family. Their accommodation was really good, spotlessly clean and just as noted, right on the beach. The breakfast was excellent. In all, the host and her family cared for us well as did others we met in the local village when dining out. The local people were very helpful and good company.
Absolutely loved it. So bright & beautiful overlooking the lovely long strand of beach. Excellent hosts & delicious Irish breakfast. Nice pub around the corner featuring traditional Irish music with very friendly locals. Historic Ft Duncannon at the end of the road is a short walk away. You will love Seashells and Duncannon.
My stay at Seashells was a delight. Dympna and her husband were excellent hosts. A great stay was made with a fresh and comfortable bed, strong water pressure in the shower, full view of the shore, well made Irish breakfast and good coffee, reliable wifi and a peaceful setting.
A lovely small town and a great B&B, right on the beach. Had an amazing stay with very welcoming hosts, a comfortable room and nice breakfast in the morning. Perfect get-away
Dympna and Eric were very friendly and accommodating. The room had a magnificent view and the breakfast was beautiful. I would highly recommend their place to anyone staying in or around Duncannon.
