The space

Eric and Dympna live in a modern 3 storey beachfront guesthouse in the quaint and picturesque seaside village of Duncannon. The friendly village also has a working fishing harbour, and is built around a spectacular star shaped 16th century fort. The village has a couple of nice pubs which serve excellent food and are a great place to sit and relax after a day sightseeing.

Our uniquely situated home has 3 en-suite rooms for guests, 2 with large south facing windows giving exceptional views of the award winning beach and surrounding Waterford estuary. Your room is a very comfortable double ensuite. This room enjoys a brilliant sea view, overlooking Duncannon beach and the surrounding Hook Penninsula. Your stay with us also includes a hearty Irish breakfast, which will be served to you while you take in the magnificent views from our breakfast room directly overlooking the beach.

The surrounding area is renown for outstanding natural beauty and has remained unspoiled, while still easily accessible to all major routes. Duncannon is 2 hours from Dublin or 45 mins from rosslare ferryport.

As beautiful as the pictures are, they don't compare to the incredible views and like-new property of seashells B+B. Outstanding Irish breakfast to top it off!

We enjoyed our stay at the Seashells beachfront B & B in Duncannon. It was the perfect location for exploring the Hook lighthouse & Waterford area. Dympna & Eric were wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable hosts... and the views overlooking the beach were fantastic! The 2 local pubs down the block offer good dinner options. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting this area.

My husband and I stayed at Seashells B&B, and it was amazing! The views are as wonderful as the pictures suggest and the room was perfect. Breakfast was delicious also. Fantastic hosts and location, highest recommendation possible!

This place is truly underrated. The view is absolutely stunning and the walk to the beach is literally two minutes. The room is lovely and the bathroom was cute and welcoming. Not only do they offer a made-to-order breakfast, but they also have tea and coffee with cookies and tv availability at all times. Breakfast was delicious and the cookies were great too. Dympna suggested that I go to two bars and both were excellent. One had a toasty fireplace and the other had live music, which was absolutely great! Eric provided lovely breakfast and always was helpful in using the kitchen. My only very small and minor feedback would be that I would have liked more interaction, but it was a Bed & Breakfast, not an airbnb. Regardless, I truly enjoyed my stay here.

What a lovely town and view even in the winter! We left with a full stomach and great pictures of the beach! You can see the light house at night and it is definitely worth the short drive to tour it during your stay. Unfortunately, the thing we remember the most is how uncomfortable the bed was; it felt like we were sleeping directly on metal springs and sounded like it too.
