LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! -
Located at the Heart of the city, you are not at the mercy of a car, horrid parking and traffic. Plenty of public transport options.
Bur Juman underground Metro station with both RED and GREEN Lines is besides the Bur-Juman shopping centre .
Its ONLY 7 minute walk from our home and is a famous junction for both Red n Green metro lines in the Heart of Dubai.
At Bur Juman , you can take the RED line metro to go to Atlantis, Burj Khalifa, Jumeirah Beach Islands, Mall of Emirates, Emirates Towers, Ibn Battuta mall, Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain
and ALSO take the GREEN line to get to Deira, Rashidiya, Dubai Airport, Union Square, Palm Deira, and more.
You are connected to both Red and Green line within a 7-10 min walking distance. No need to switch trains.
Its a 10 - 12 min pleasant walk to the Karama shopping centre, Lulu Shopping Center, Spinneys 24 hr, multiple small convenience stores and Supermarkets dot the area, a short 10-15 min bus ride (From outside Bur Juman mall) to Bur Dubai and Gold Souq and the Abra to cross over to Deira area. It is close to major highway Sheik Zayed road (Highway E-11) which takes you to worlds tallest building - The Burj Khalifa (830 metres and the Dubai Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, Jumeirah Beach, etc. You can ask me any questions related to the area, my 30 year experience here will come in handy for YOUR trip.
There is a large international store called Spinneys at a 10 min walking distance where you can get your western groceries.
Being close to the highway means you can get taxis in the area easily. Catching them outside hotels is the best bet. Dubai is like New York, in that you always find taxis on the road, and thankfully don't need to call for them.
Depending on where you need to go, we can give you advise on bus routes. There are Airconditioned bus stops at frequent intervals, and many of the famous areas are connected by bus routes.

In Short, this is THE PLACE to be if you want to MAKE the MOST of YOUR TRIP TO DUBAI
Airbnb is a popular concept throughout the US and Europe and its a great alternative to cold, cookie cut hotel accommodations, where you get the personalized service through the eyes of a resident. Having lived here for 30 years, I can give you great tips, and tricks in Dubai! It helps to have a local idea of things so you can make the most of your trip here. Read the reviews of my previous guests to get an idea of the experience you will have.
If you're a tourist, the best time to visit is during the winter months october-april. But be prepared to share the beach with other tourists.
Dubai looks beautiful during several
weeks during the year. Decked up streets, several events that happen that bring tourists by the droves.
Islamic New Year (November)
Eid (Aug 2nd week - note there are food restrictions during a portion of the month)
Diwali (November first week)
UAE National Day (Dec 2nd - lots of grand Vegas-style celebrations)
Several other popular international and local events you can plan around
Dubai Shopping Festival (January-February)
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships (February-March)
Dubai World Cup (March)
Dubai Summer Surprises (June-July - great for kids)
Dubai International Film Festival (December)
Summer time is very hot but you will find the city to yourselves.
Your private room will have a bed, a side table, a closet, and a dresser. It has a beautiful large window that allows light and fresh air in. It also has curtains that can be pulled across for privacy. We have an air conditioner in all the rooms (including the hall), so its a comfortable cooling atmosphere as well. The A/C can cool the room (like make it Alaska cold) in about 10-15 min, so that's a plus.
It also has a ceiling fan if you don't want to freeze with the AC on.
It has been well-maintained, and refurbished with great features for privacy and comfort. It might not be the ideal holiday destination like some other high-end houses listed on here, but it is a no-frills arrangement for a traveler that wants a safe, clean, well-located space with hospitable hosts for a short stay.

It is easiest to use the public transport. Ask me for more details if you plan to rent a car, or drive in with your car.
Although we have engaged professional cleaners, it is me and my family who take pride to maintain the Hygeine a/w healthy environ and positivity in our HOME. While we endeavour to maintain cleanliness to our best abilities, you must inform us
if anything is not up to your standards- so we can rectify anything to make your stay better. We speak English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu Urdu, and a bit of Arabic, whatever you are comfortable with.
Thank you for your interest in my rental. Whatever be your requirement, message me, and I will see if i can accommodate your requests.
Q. What is my check-in time?
A. We are flexible about our check-in time, considering most of our guests are international and may fly red-eye flights. We can accommodate your check-in time depending on your requirements, but if we have a guest that day, then to make it easier for the check out of the guest, and check in for yourself, we will have the standard arrangement of 12 pm as check out time, and you can always access the house to leave your bags, and freshen up.
Q. What other languages do you speak?
A. We are a family who is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. We know the area quite well, and can guide you around the town for your needs. This is a no-frills living arrangement with gracious and accommodating hosts.
Q. Do I pay anything when I check-in?
A. The payment goes through the secure Airbnb website which is released to me one day after you check in. They accept paypal, Credit cards, Debit cards and other major forms of payment types.
There will be NO cash exchanged when we meet, just exchange ideas, experiences, cultures, and travel tips.
Q. What are your refund policies?
A. This place is a popular spot and almost receive daily inquiries considering its location at the heart of the city. However, we understand travel plans can change, and we are only human, so we do have a moderate cancellation policy. If you can cancel before 5 days, you will get all your money back (except for the 6-7% airbnb fees that is non-refundable)... But if your situation warrants cancellation or a refund (ex, flight changes, emergency situations), we can work it out with airbnb.
Be open with us about your situation, and we will try our best to help you.
Q. Important - What are the alcohol laws in the largely muslim area of Dubai?
A. This is a Muslim state, but alcohol flows liberally. By law, it can be served only within the confines of a hotel, but with an estimated 450 hotels in the emirate, some with up to 26 bars, restaurants and clubs, you won't be left thirsty.
Do your own research before you plan to consume alcohol in Dubai. We prefer that you dont drink alcohol inside the house for our comfort.
Q. What is provided in the price?
A. We provide a single bedroom (with a max occupancy of 2) which has a double bed, dressers, closet/shelving area. You also have access to the bathrooms and other common areas. You can store small items in the fridge. You will also have your own key to get in and out.
sometimes we rent out our couch to visitors to crash so then the living room may not be available.
Think of it as your home away from home.
Q. Is this listing an entire apartment or just 1 private room?
A. This is a 2 bed 2 bath apartment in which I live. My wife visits me when she is not with my son/daughter. We live in the next room and receive our guests when they arrive.
**This listing is ONLY for a SINGLE ROOM. Bathroom and the other parts of the house are shared with hospitable hosts and other guests.**
Q. Is the area safe?
A. we have lived in this area for 30+ years. You will find plenty of families living around and their children playing outside in the evening. Its proximity to major tourist attractions ensures that it is safe at all times of the day. Dubai has an active night-life, and one should exercise caution. Especially with moral codes and ethics. For example, you cannot and should not sleep with another lady who is not your wife. It is punishable by law. So it goes without saying that you should not bring people over to stay the night if they are not part of the official reservation.
The area is safe, and there are cops frequenting the area.
Having said that, the house has never had any break-ins. Ensure the house is locked before you step out and just maintain a low profile while out late night as you would in any foreign land.
Q. Do I have to leave a review?
A. You will feel comfortable and secure reading previous previews from my guest which will give you the absolute truth of their experience and what you can expect. Since I am new to airbnb, I would love to receive your feedback to improve and of course praise for a job well-done.
We appreciate your good words. You will be left a review upon check out.
Thank you for your interest in our bnb. I look forward to your inquiry, and accommodating you during your visit to Dubai.

Le séjour était impécable de toutes les cotés.
Great place...good help...very friendly....always a helping hand. Very good locations. Good and economical hotels and supermarket around the place. Enjoyed my stay and recommend this yo all. A special thanks to sam for all him help.
Great place in an excellent location! Sukumar is a great host - very friendly and helpful - I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in Dubai for a few days.
Really friendly & helpful hosts, good location as close to Burjuman metro (which is easy & cheap to use, unlike the taxis that tended to get lost.) The room was basic but lots of space & clean. Loads of eateries nearby and felt like a safe area. I'd recommend this host with no hesitation, thank you :-)
Warm welcome and Amazing experience! Room has a great location in a safe and very nice neighborhood, also close to the metro station. with friendly and generous hosts. Would recommend to anybody. We were very comfortable here and will almost certainly stay again. Hope to see them again.
It was an awesome experience staying with Sukumar. I really felt free to roam and their advise on where to get the best Indian food i ever had came in handy. the place is conveniently located. They were more than accommodating to allow me go and come at my own times and always kept my room clean.
I look forward to visiting Dubai soon and I will surely pass them even if its to say hi. . . :-) :-)
Sukamar is a complete gentleman. He went out of his was to provide us metro passes show us where to eat & shop as a local. I wont pretend the apartment is luxurious or immaculate but if you want to travel as a local this is spot on. If you are.looking for a romantic luxury break, increase your budget. If you want to see the real Dubai, this is fine.
Great location, very clean, interesting neighborhood, good price, fast wifi, close to fantastic restaurants and very welcoming host who is quick with communication and always helpful.
Such nice people, very helpful and kind. Give you food, water and towels.
Take your shower gels with you and some flip-flops for the bathroom, but thats normal, I just forgot mine.
I used taxis a lot but there is a bus station next to the apartment which you can use. There is also a shopping center near by called BurJuman where you can eat western stuff. I suppose you could also eat in Karama where the apartment is located but you'll need to ask which places are ok.
I was on a business trip so I didn't explore the area much but I know you can buy nice and cheap cloths there.
All in all it was great for a short (4 day) trip: cheap place and friendly host!
Sukumar is extremely welcoming, helpful and hearty, so it's a pleasure to meet him. He has a lot of knowledge to share, but doesn't get intrusive.
The neighborhood is really good - this is the most "city alike area" in this strange place Dubai - I liked it a lot since it is so central and close to the airport. There are a lot of yummy Indian restaurants and stores just around the corner.
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, there is a fan and an A/C, the bathroom is also impeccable, and a great breakfast is provided - I enjoyed my stay.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
