Lower-level bedroom with private entrance and full-size bed and private bathroom. Enjoy great views to the northwest and amazing sunset views. 5-10 min drive to the beach, close to La Costa resort, world-class golfing and great beaches.
Great deal for Carlsbad/La Costa area and so close to La Costa Resort, beautiful golf courses, GIA, Legoland, awesome beaches, etc. This is a Beautiful, Designer Home with Great Pool and Views of the Valley and wonderful sunsets.
A Clean and relaxing bedroom with lots of natural light and fresh breezes in the afternoon, full-size bed and a private entrance. There is also a private bathroom right next to the bedroom, but you need to walk thru the hallway tom access the bathroom (it's not accessible thru the bedroom).
Please note: This is a lower-level bedroom and there is a bathroom above the bedroom. The bathroom above is part of a guest studio that we rent out and the tenant usually showers around 5:30 in the morning, so you can hear the water from the shower. He leaves town every weekend so this is an issue Monday thru Thursday morning. If you're a light sleeper or sensitive to this type of noise then you may want to consider another place.

Interaction with Guests
We will be present during your stay, but we both work so really depends on your hours spent at the house.
Quiet neighborhood with semi-custom homes mostly from the late 70s and 80s. This was one of the first neighborhoods built after the opening of the La Costa Resort.
A car is highly recommended for getting around. The bus stop in about a 20 min walk or about 1-1/2 miles.
Please be respectful of others. We had one guest who woke up at 5 am and had all the light on in the house in addition to cooking a gourmet meal. She was at it as if nobody else was sleeping in the house. This type of person will not be tolerated and will be asked to leave immediately.
We reserve the right to check ID.
NO pets--please don't ask.
No loud music.
Low alcohol household; no drugs.
Please no street shoes inside on carpeted areas.

Mark and Mina were wonderful and I didn't see them except at initial contact when I arrived which gave me my privacy. I was a little disappointed that the room was lacking a dresser and was smaller then depicted in the photo. Plus the 2 miles to the Chopra Center would have felt like four if you were to walk up those steep hills. The bathroom toilet was very low, loose and the seat was like sitting on a coffee cup and trying to do your business. I forgot that in California they build frame homes and I could hear the water and toilet flush in the walls from the renter upstairs which woke me numerous times.
I won't be back any time soon.
I just graduated high school and I had an opportunity to do a college credited month long internship at Transworld skateboarding magazine. I live in Washington and I could not find a reasonably priced place to stay for this opportunity of a life time. Luckly I found Mark and Mina on the last week before I had to leave and it worked out perfectly. I could not have had a better stay. Even though I was not around much, Mark and Mina provided everything I needed. My room was perfect size and comfortable as well as a very nice bathroom. Whenever our schedules would permit we would see each other in the evening and often have great conversations over dinner. They treated me with great respect and made me feel at home. The pool and hot tub out back are also wonderfully relaxing! The house was minutes away from Tansworld, Vons, and another skatepark that I liked to skateboard at so I never had to travel very far. Overall it was a stay that was meant to be and I wish I never had to leave!
Wow, where to start. We had an AMAZING stay with Mark and Mina. We booked 7 nights VERY last minute and Mina was super accommodating right from the start. Mark and Mina definitely have a touch for hosting and our stay with them was a superb experience. From hearing about Mark's journeyman days as a photographer and videographer, to lounging by the pool and playing ball with Enzo (their Jack Russell), we could not have imagined a more relaxing and rewarding experience. Delicious healthy options every morning in a continental style breakfast, private bathroom, and a genuine feel of "home," I would recommend these hosts to anyone; especially those who are looking for a unique and supremely friendly b&b experience.
I spent four nights at Mark and Mina's while attending a program at the Chopra Center. Much more affordable than $200/night stay at La Costa - and a lot quieter! I walked the 2+ miles every morning to the Center (downhill) and took a short taxi ride back. Mina was very kind and picked me up on her way home one of the nights. They are very friendly and accommodating and frequently asked if there was anything else I needed.
The room is basic but comfortable. No AC but a fan kept it cool during those beautiful August nights in So Cal. I slept very well here which is more than I can say for many hotels. I took a relaxing swim in the pool one evening under the starry sky and enjoyed tossing the ball for little Enzo. Overall a very good experience.
I travel frequently for my business and am often in need of clean and quiet accommodations at a price. Situated in the affluent community of La Costa, Mark & Mina's accommodations spoke to me at a fraction of the price of nearby hotels in the $ 300-$ 500 a night range. The first impression was favorable. Someone in that family has interior design skills...I was the welcome recipient of clean lines, an impeccable interior, well furnished yet not cluttered, not to mention a pool and a backyard with endless sunshine.
The house and room were an oasis of tranquility after a stress filled business day.
There was even a Continental Breakfast provide on a daily basis...quite tasty.
Mark & Mina should be in the Bed and Breakfast business full time.
I will be back!
