There is so much to do in Killarney - I will leave brochures etc. of tours and restaurants in the apartment. Killarney is one of the premier places to come to in Ireland for a holiday. Nick Faldo, Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood, are just some of the players that have played in Killarney. We are surrounded by mountains for hiking and free access to lakes. Boat trips for fishing and sightseeing with a possible glimpse of the white tailed eagles which have been released here in the past few years. • Our stay in Killarney with Lucille was fantastic! They were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble! The apartment was huge with wonderful views! We would definitely stay again!

  • We loved staying in this apartment! We wish we could have stayed longer. It was perfect for our family of five (our boys each had their own bed!). Lucille was a great hostess and gave us lots of tips on what to do in the area. She even had milk, juice, and yogurt for us in the fridge when we arrived. The view from the apartment was amazing from the garden in the backyard. We saved a lot of money cooking in the kitchen rather than eating out. And, this may seem silly, but the towels were the best towels we have ever had in travels around Europe. Everything was wonderful, clean, and spacious and I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

  • Lucille and Joe were very friendly and accomodating. Killarney and the national park are beautiful. This home is a very good break from hotel rooms. Enjoy!

  • We had the most wonderful stay here. The apartment was fantastic, with one of the best equipped kitchens we've had with air bnb. Lucille and her husband Joe could not have been more helpful, Joe even arranged a boat for us to do a tour of the lakes, dropped us off and picked us up at the other side of the park. Could not recommend more, we wished we could have stayed longer than two nights!

  • There were a couple of surprises with this apartment, but each one was positive.
Going in, we didn't realize that the apartment is underneath the main house. However, this worked to our advantage, as Lucille and Joe were available for any questions we had about the apartment or the area and they were always very helpful !
Having read the description online, we had collected a pocket full of 2euro coins to pay for electricity. But we didn't use any of these, as Lucille and Joe had put plenty of money in the meter... even though we did a lot of laundry (washing and drying).
The apartment is in a great location, close to town with easy & private access in and out of the back yard to a short-cut into town or the National Park.
We found the apartment comfortable, quiet and clean. The views are wonderful, especially in the morning.
We highly recommend this apartment if you have a chance to stay here.

  • We spent two nights in the apartment and we liked it very much. We found the apartment very clean, with everything you can need, such us hairdryer, travel cot, DVD player... even some fruit, milk and orange juice! It's well situated, in a quiet state but only ten minutes walking from downtown. Lucille and her husband were very nice with us, and the next time we back to Killarney we will stay here for sure :)

  • We enjoyed our stay -- it was great to be able to do laundry and spread out a bit after a week in b&b's. The location is quiet but close to downtown, and less than 10 minute drive to Muckross House. Lucille and Joe were helpful in orienting us to town - finding grocery stores, etc.

  • This is a perfect spot for those of you looking for a place to stay in Killarney. It's maybe a 5 min walk into town center. The pictures don't do justice to what a great little space this is. The view from the garden is priceless and smells of fresh honeysuckle. The tv is now Larger flat screen not the old tube in the picture and the host is fantastic. You have everything you will need inside the apartment. This was a great value and I would recommend it over and over again.

  • Lucille was very welcoming and we very much enjoyed our stay there. It was excellent proximity to the city with a short walk to the downtown area. Would definitely recommend!

We are a semi retired couple, but we are very active! Our children are grown-up so it's a quiet household and we have decided to let out our garden apartment occasionally. It is perfect as a base to explore the south coast of Ireland. It is also an ideal location to do some hill walking My husband Joe is a member of the Killarney Mountain Rescue, and has lots of advice for walkers. We are outdoors people with a camper and canoe. We have also climbed Carrauntoohil which is close by and is the highest mountain in Ireland.
