Hello, you have just found the ideal place for your romantic stay in Rome: this cool, comfortable very cozy ground floor apartment situated at few steps from Piazza Navona, right in the middle of the so called "triangle" of night life of the Eternal City. You just have to step out of your front door, into the street and walk to all the main attractions. The apartment has original 16th century features and it consists in one large and spacious living room with sofa, tv, bookcase, kitchenette and table for breakfast and meals. Then comes one large bedroom with queensize bed and a bathroom with shower.
The owners are artistic carachters and would like to leave their books and two bikes for the use of the renters. This is a perfect opportunity to feel the pleasure of living in one of the most charming area of Rome. The Rione Ponte, in which the apartment is situated, is one of the most ancient of Rome and is full with nice bars, coffee shops, art galleries, international and typical restaurants. Frome here you just need to follow your "Serendipity istinct" and wandering through the beauies of Rome and then returning to this original and comfortable accomodation.
My girlfriend and me had a very pleasant stay at this place. The location is perfect. In the heart of Rome, surrounded by great bars and restaurants. The two bikes are also great. The best way to see the whole city. If we ever return to Rome, I hope this apartment is still available!
This was not entirely a positive experience for us. First: this apartment is located in a section of old Rome that is "party central" on Saturday nights. In fact, this area, several blocks west of Piazza Navona, is crowded with restaurant and bar patrons almost every night. As the apartment is on the first floor, the NOISE from all of this activity seems to funnel directly into the bedroom. Our feeling is that, unless you intend to party all night yourself, this apartment is not your best alternative.
Second: As we might have anticipated, the apartment wasn’t as nice as the photos of it had led us to expect. At best, the furnishings of the apartment can be described as functional and utilitarian. Very little sunlight gets in through the windows. The floors are covered with burn marks for some reason.
Third: The hot water stopped working during the second day of our stay. We had returned to the apartment late that evening. Thus, we had little hope of tracking down the owner, so we just put up with it. We remind the potential renter that, although our contact / “host” for this place, Emiliano, seems to be a nice guy, he is not the apartment’s owner.
This story is not all negative. The owner, a nice lady, was there to meet us upon our arrival. She had stocked the kitchen with water, milk and coffee before our arrival. The apartment was clean, and the bed had been made up with fresh sheets. The neighborhood is loaded with great restaurants that line the edges of its picturesque, cobble-stone streets.
I have been in this apartment for three weeks and i found myself quite well.
In the apartment there is everything, even an internet key to surf the net.
The apartment is clean, friendly and very characteristic, the owners are friendly and helpful.
Also nearby there are many bars, restaurants and pizzerias.
