Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Surrounded by fynbos bush and the sound of birds, you will have a unique nature experience and wake up to the majestic Outeniqua mountain range shining in front of you.
We are a simple, off the grid set up so do not expect luxury but rather the simple pleasures and nature in all its glory. Our home is a work in progress. We dream of creating a sustainable space by restoring our land and respecting nature in the process.

The space
Our cabin is comfortable and spacious and built by us with all the love in the world! Using reclaimed doors and windows, and decorated with old treasures, the space is full of character.
The cabin is surrounded by fynbos and the brilliant Outeniqua Mountains are the perfect view from bed.
There is a little deck off the front for you to enjoy the surrounding scenery and watch the sunset. There is a hot outside shower with uninterrupted mountain and valley views and a compost toilet to use.

We are an eco friendly project & use a solar system for energy. This means that no appliances that are heavy on electricity can be used (such as hairdryers), but lights, and charging of phones and laptops is perfectly fine. There are bedside lamps, a fan in summer and plug point. It is best to charge devices during the sunnier hours of the day and ask your host if you need further information.

We are in nature and therefore sometimes have animal visitors such as so please don't leave food out on the deck when you leave or are out for the day.
There is a simple kitchen setup, with a little gas cooker as well as a cooler box stocked with ice if you wish to keep drinks and food. We supply tea, coffee, a plunger, mugs, cutlery and crockery and a pot and pan.

We have WIFI in the cabin if you need or wish to work remotely.

If you bring a child we can supply a floor mattress. Please note that the railing is not toddler safe.

We encourage you to take the time to enjoy the beautiful Wilderness area. You are able to walk to the stunning Map of Africa view point (about 20 minutes) or enjoy a beautiful forest or river walks from the property.
There is also a lovely coffee shop across the road with magnificent ocean views.

We have one other Airbnb accommodation on the property and therefore you may see other guests in the garden or car park but once in the cabin area you are completely private and unseen.

We encourage an experience where you can immerse yourself in nature, enjoy the sounds of birds, starry night sky, smell the fynbos & appreciate Mother Nature’s wonders.
