ATTENTION: If You query to stay in our house, please, introduce yourself in a request message, or fill the profile. A photo is also required (and that means Your clear photo, not the landscape's or pet's picture :). We would appreciate getting to know whom we will be hosting.
If You expect it to be 5star hotel, You'd be disappointed – it is not.
But You are welcome to enjoy our old, artistic, nicely decorated house, with it's history, in a beautiful and unique art deco/art nouveau small street, just in the center of Vilnius. Next to Gediminas avenue (main center street), Lukiskes square, St.Jacobs church.
Our guests rooms are housed in a 120 square meter apartment. House is quite spacious, three bedrooms are available for guests. We can accommodate 6 people at a time.
Notice that this exact room best suits for one person, though it has a double pull out sofa, just it is not big. So if You decide to book this room for two persons, then price for second guest will be lower than for our other guest rooms.
The house is old, but don't worry about shower – it is renovated. :)
Bedding and towels are provided.
Tea, coffee, etc. is also provided.
We are quite flexible with check-in starting from midday (12:00). And also if there are no other guests planned on schedule we are also flexible with check-out.
Our price rates depend on popularity of the space. If there's no bookings, we make it cheaper, if there's a lot of bookings – we make it more expensive. So reservation beforehand is always cheaper and more convenient to both sides.
Our house could also be interesting for photo tourists - there are guests from time to time asking us could they take photos in our house. Also it was a movie shot here once.
Place is family friendly, it is located in two floor house, so not too many steps to climb. Though this concrete room could be suitable only for one parent and a kid (not two parents and a kid), because bed is suited only for two. In our other rooms beds are king size. Kid price is 5 Euros / per day.
Also we are gay friendly and any color, nationality, etc. is welcome - You just have to be a nice person.
Information for animal allergic people: a cat and a dog live in our house.
P.S. In Vilnius we have very high quality and tasty water from the tap (one of best water in all over Europe cities), so we kindly ask our guests not to buy water in plastic bottles. Mind the environment.
We write reviews only for guests who leave their review for us as well.
In general: be nice, respect our home :)
1) Not to smoke inside, but we have a nice small yard with a bench.
2) Guests should wash their dishes and leave ordered kitchen (shower, etc.) after themselves.
3) Guests should keep their rooms neat and tidy while the stay.
4) Alexandra is vegetarian and Marija is vegan, so we prefer not to have meat and fish in our house (kitchen and refrigerator).
Thank You and enjoy :)
Lovely house and extremely nice hosts, very kind and helpful with all sorts of think ! I'm extremely happy of my choice and I do recommend it !
i stayed at Marija and Alexandra's house for a week while i was waiting to move in a flat.
The house is perfectly located, close to the main street and it's really peaceful as well.
well decorated, you can smell art and history with good attention to details.
it's the right place to live the Vilnius experience.
Marija is helpful and very friendly.
I highly recommend this lovely house.
Czułam się jak w domu!
Dziękuję Aleksandrze i Marii za niezwykłą gościnność.
Pozdrawiam obie Pani bardzo serdecznie!
Lovely old house in the heart of Vilnius, artistic and helpful host - may be the best place to feel true magic of this city!
I have had a very nice stay at Alexandras and Marijas apartment. The room is large, clean and tastefully furnished. The location of the apartment is very close to the Gedimino prospect from where you have a good start to explore the city.
Alexandra and Marija are very nice hosts, Marija have even invited me to taste her dinner and this was really delicious.
I have had a perfect stay and can definetly recommend this place.
We stayed for two nights with Marija and Alexandra and had a wonderful time. The house is very beautiful and only a 10 minute walk to old town. We only saw Marija whilst we were staying and she was lovely and friendly and also left us some chocolate in our room. There is also a very nice dog and cat. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the hot water whilst we were staying but Marija couldn't have been more helpful about it and even gave us some money back as compensation even though we did not ask for any.
I'd have to agree with other reviewers about the beautiful house. Very well decorated and welcoming and super tidy and clean. It is also well located in the city centre. And it has the best shower that I have ever experienced!
Marija was very friendly and helpful too and even gave me a free vegan chocolate bar, which was very tasty!
If you are a late night person, then this place is perfect, but I fear that if you value sleep or early mornings (as I do when I do photography) then this is definitely not for you! It gets pretty noisy at night and stays that way well after midnight: people talking loudly in the kitchen right next door, dogs barking in the house, cooking food and boiling kettles after midnight, loud clocks, moving furniture, cats meeaws, etc. And this can go on even after 1am...
But I'll caveat that by saying that it's probably because Marija and her mum are such terribly nice, outgoing and gregarious people. If you like that kind of thing, then you'll no doubt be in heaven!
